| July 2004 - A Month of BIG NEWS! Ayup, as you saw on the front page, we've added a new member. Expect great things from the singing pirate girls as they boldly go where they've never gone before....in both costumes and vocals! We're back home from Orlando....but we never wanted to leave! The Gaylord Palms Resort is a beautiful place full of very interesting things. We loved singing for the patrons and hope to visit there again soon. June 2004 - Sail Jacksonville was a smashing success!! Though the weather was hotter than the doldrums in August, the weekend was GREAT! Saturday we divided our time between preforming along the riverfront and during the 30 minute river tours on the Annabell Lee. We had the distinct pleasure to take the large "Treasure Island Stage" with Rusty Cutlass, Disney's pirate singers. What a great group of guys! Saturday night, after the fire works display, we actually had that huge stage all to ourselves while we did a few nautical ballads to send the attendees on their way with fond memories of this exciting festival. Sunday found us once again preforming for the crowds along the waterway. We also did a turn around the bay on the Annabell Lee and then spent a couple of hours on the Lady St. John. A lovely tour of the port and many songs for the visitors "made" the afternoon. Can you believe they actually let us on the U.S.C.G Barque Eagle? We couldn't! This 295 foot long, 3 masted ship is the largest Tall Ship flying the Stars and Stripes. It was with pride that we stood aboard her wooden decks and looked out on the beautiful St. Johns River. May 2004 The photo shoot is done and the audition tape completed...whew! We spent one weekend in intense rehearsals with a dear friend, Deliah O'Day from the Naughty Nymphs. She's the BEST!! The following weekend it was into costume and out at a park to sing and pose. Many thanks go to David our Manager/Roadie/Photographer/Video Editor. "We love you David!" April 2004 Recently the singer's of the seas (that would be us) were pleased to perform at a pre-wedding party for two very good friends of ours. The guests seemed to enjoy themselves and our music, though most had never been to any type of renaissance festival and really didn't know what to expect. Since there were children present, we kept the eariler music to songs relating to churches, engagements, weddings and life with only a little spice thrown in. Later in the evening, though...once the kiddies had gone to bed, we pulled out all the stops and suprised the guests with dirty limericks and forthright advice on how to make their lives more exciting. A fun time was had by all! Pictures of the evening along with our newly debuted "Privy-Tier Uniforms" have been posted! |
