Rules For The WALAN Counterstrike Competition

Section A. Administration Rules
  1. WALAN Administrator's decision is final. No arguments will be entered into whatsoever. These rules must be read and understood by all team members before registering for the competition. Ignorance is not an excuse and any violations of these rules will be dealt with as determined by the Administrators.
  2. These rules are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the administrators.
Section B. Registration Guidelines and Rules
  1. A player may not play for more than one team, and if found doing so will disqualify BOTH teams.
  2. Teams are expected to nominate a team captain who will be responsible for encouraging his/her team to follow the rules outlined in this document and to encourage sportsmanship and fair play.
  3. Only teams received in full prior to the closing time will be accepted and allocated fixtures.
  4. To avoid overcrowding of the admin area, team captains should be responsible for communication with the administrators. Presence of other team members is discouraged.
Section C. Fundamental Competition Rules
  1. Teams are to be FIVE (5) per side-maximum. Teams are allowed a 6th reserve player, but under no circumstances will a team be allowed to play with 6 players regardless of any agreements between the two teams. Teams may play with less than this, however they must not expect for the other team to concede player(s). An minumin of three players on a team must be present when the match begins.

The reserve player is not allowed in the game unless the team has less than the full 5 players and is expected to disconnect if the other player joins. Note also that there are only prizes enough for 5 players so the reserve will not get a prize.
  2. All teams must submit results to the administrators immediately after each round. In the event that two teams disagree on the outcome/scores, the administrator will rely on screenshots taken by each team.
Teams that do not show in first round, will be removed from tourny. Teams will have 45mins to complete the round upon annoucement of its start. After 45mins, server will announce round over, you will have 30 seconds to take note of score, and then server will shutdown. Captains will then have five minutes to return score via webpage before they are locked out and entered as a forfeit.

    General Structure:
The competition this time will be a double elimination competition. This means that teams are randomly matched in the competition and when a team has lost 2 times the team will be eliminated. Note that a draw is counted as a win for each team.
Each game will consist of 2 15 minute halves with a maxround limit of 12. Each halve will be on the same map. If a team is completely not present for a round they will forfeit, and if they are missing 1 or 2 players at the start time the game will begin regardless to ensure the competition stays within the alotted times.

  3. Any non-sportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification of the team. This includes activites like insulting the other team, calling players cheaters with out direct proof, swapping teams and proceeding to team kill the other team and any number of other immature activities.
  4. All servers will be started imediatly after round announcement, for this reason it is recommended that teams join the servers as soon as possible. No concessions will be made to players unable to join due to (but not limited to):

Whether or not any action is considered unfair is the solely the decision of the administrators and may not be argued. Players MUST play using the default skins for each team.
