Since last updated, PR&D has been busy, orders for PCB manufacture have been coming in, and it remains a valuable service with quality and capabilities constantly growing.
Currently producing 1 and 2 sided pcbs with a maximum via drill capability of ~.3mm. Vias are implemented using wire 'slug' to connect layers which has worked out great, but will be produced in a traditional method shortly! Its a chemical etching process but a small mill is in the near future!
The posted picture is of the new version A3901 breakout, which convert a 3x3mm DFN10 package to a DIL10- easily plugs into standard through hole sockets and breadboards! It is a 2 sided PCB- and a good example of capabilities with ~.3mm vias and a few .3mm.. traces also!
On the product end of things, its been busy busy busy! Currently available are breakouts for difficult to prototype packages: a breakout for the MMA7260Q 3axis accelerometer (QFN16 to DIL8), of course the A3901 breakout (DFN10 to DIL10) as well as more general (non device specific) breakouts for most commonly encountered IC packages. PIC and AVR programming dongles are ready, development boards coming up shortly! Also available is a proper PCB for the SStransistor dual H-bridge design and a larger version is ready also.
In the works are many other products including a GPS module, RGB LED controller, robot sensors and RF product line. Things have been busy on the research front as well as robotic project development with 3 projects underway currently-- one of which I hope to enter in local mini-sumo contests once completed and perhaps sell complete kits eventually!
