First Mate's Tourney XLII
 1st September at Guild Guides Hall Park, Beulah Park.

The First Mate is chosen by Rapier Tourney. The winner's duties is to protect the ship, it's Captain and Master. The tourney is an auction tourney. Thanks to the generosity of the artisans of Innilgard, again, we had many wonderous prizes.



Prizes donated included:

  • Women's linen coif, broidered in red, made and donated by Lady Fionndbhair
  • Soccaccia - portable pocket (16thC) made and donated by La Signora Onorata Katerina da Brescia.
  • A selection of glass Beads donated by Lord Dafydd Wallraven
  • A men's linen arming cap  made and donated by Lia Morosini  
  • A book of period songs, donated by Baroness Blodeuwedd
  • A pair of 16th century Italian (could be used as byzantine?) earrings made and donated by La Signora Onorata Katerina da Brescia.
  • a bottle of 6 year old bottle of rose liqueur made and donated by Vicontessa Lucrezia Lorenz.
  • A pair of hat pins made and donated by La Signora Onorata Katerina da Brescia

The auction tourney raised 94 gold in total, most going towards Innilgard Rapier with a tithe (10% of total) to the Crown Coffers. Huzzarrrrrh!
