First Mate's Tourney XXXIX
was held on 19th September at Hazelwood Park.

The First Mate is chosen by Rapier Tourney. The winner's duties is to protect the ship, it's Captain and Master. The tourney is an auction tourney. Thanks to the generosity of the artisans of Innilgard, we had many wonderous prizes.

Prizes included: prizes so far donated included:

  • Lady Collette has donated a linen vei
  • Lady Blod has donated skeins of embroidery silks
  • Master Drake has a promisory of 12 bottles of brewed drink, of your choice
  • Lord William has donated a wooden stool
  • Vicontessa Lucrezia has donated some bottles of shiraz
  • Devora is donating a pair of blackworked linen cuffs
  • Lady Hana has donated a day of her time to finish a sewing or A&S project
  • Lady Katerina has donated 10 wooden & knotted buttons (red) & a copy of Innilgard's Winter A&S collegium CD 3
  • Lady Finndabhair has donated a book: the Commercial Revolution of the Middle Ages
  • Vicountess Ingerith Ryzka donated two books; The wars of the Roses & The Making of Europe

The auction tourney raised 205.20 gold towards Innilgard Rapier and 22.80 gold (10% of total) to the Crown Coffers, as our Tithe. Huzzarrrrrh!
