"My Children "

God gave me something I didnt deserve,
Two beautiful girls whom I love very much
They have been so much to me, for words could never tell
The impact on my life they have made, the joy that I have felt.

The joy of hearing the words Mom, the joy of knowing they relied on me
To answer their every question they had, calm their fears, wipe their tears,
hold them when they were feeling bad
The security to know Mom was there for all joyous times and sad.

God knew it took someone special to know a Mothers Love
So children He gave to us, to share in all the special things from above
The first tooth, the first step, the first words ever spoke
Ive known the joy of Motherhood, but now my heart is broke.

Because, yes they grow up from the tiny little babies you once held
And they make adults, their lives change as well
They go through so many different things and decisions they have to make
Then along comes a young man and their heart he will take.

They date and plan a wedding, for a life all on their own
But Mom is left behind to share all the joys together they have known
It breaks her heart to see her babies go, but happiness also abounds
To know that they have a love to share with what they found.

God instituted marriage between a woman and a man
He thought of everything as He was unfolding His wonderful plans
For a time and eternity, it was instituted by Him
Together cleaving to each other, not the life that once had been.

I miss my children so each day, but know they are okay
They have their own lives, husband and children and this I wanna say
I only want the best for them, with a marriage Blessed by God
With God being the head of their homes, He will bless the steps they trod.

A marriage takes three, not two as say by most
For it takes, the man, his wife, and the Holy Ghost
If youll keep God in the center of your lives and place Him first above each other
He will bless and keep you and you will be able to face any storm together.

Holding each other up in love, daily prayer and thanksgiving
For the love God gave to you to share together as one being
For two shall become one the scripture says to us
So make the most of it, dont argue fight and fuss.

Dont give the enemy room to get in
And destroy what God gave you
For he will if he has the room and your guards by God isnt glued
Glued together forever to be placed in the presence of ALMIGHTY GOD
You, your spouse, your children, your home
Take God with you in each step you trod.
