| My Statement of Faith
The Articles of Faith in which I believe:
- I Believe the Bible, the scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament preserved for us in the King James Version is verbally and plenarily the inspired word of God. It is the inspired, infallible, and altogether the authoritative Word of God, therefore the supreme and final authority in all things.
-
I Believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, The Son(Jesus Christ) and the Holy SpiritThe Trinity
-
I Believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, that He was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and is truly totally God and truly totally man. He is the only begotten Son of God and at the same time God the Son, therefore , the Lord Jesus Christ is the omnipotent, omniscient, Savior of sinners, King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords.
-
I Believe in the literal, physical, bodily resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord. I believe in His bodily ascension into Heaven and His present work there as High Priest and advocate for us.
-
I Believe man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is eternal separation from God and an everlasting abode in Hell.
-
I Believe that the gospel is the good news that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, that He was buried, and arose alive and triumphant from death, hell and the grave. In doing so He made the necessary sacrifice for us and became the substitute for our redemption which thereby paid our sin debt and purchased our salvation for all who place their faith and full trust to Him are saved by His shed Blood.
-
I Believe each person claiming Christ as Savior should promptly make his/her public profession of Christ, that each new Christian should follow the Lords command for believers baptism that such scriptural baptism is always by water. Baptism does not save you but it is the Lords prescribed way for us to identify with Him in open confession. Baptism is a symbolic representation, a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
-
I Believe that at the time of the New Birth, the believer receives the Holy Spirit and by Him is baptized into the body of Christ, is forever indwelt by the Holy Spirit as our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide.
-
I Believe the Church is a local, independent assembly of baptized believers who have banded together for the purpose of evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship, and that every Christian should commit himself to a Bible believing, Bible based Church and serve the Lord through that Church.
-
I Believe that Christians should be separated from the world and called into a life of personal separation from all worldly and sinful practices.
-
I Believe that a Christian should seek to live a life that is clean, holy and above reproach. One should exhibit both attitude and actions so as to be of good report. Practices which are questionable or which may cause any one to stumble or which may mar the testimony of Christ should be avoided altogether.
