"In The Valley I Grow"

Lord, I have been through so many valleys
And I have held your hand most of the way
Sometimes I try to get through them on my own
It is then I couldn't see the light of day.

Your word tells us you will never leave nor forsake us
And I know this promise holds true
For Lord I could not have made it on my own
But with prayers and waiting Lord, sweet heaven would come into view.

I try so hard to be what you want me to be
I try always to give you my best
I'm climbing up the mountain, Lord
So I can enter into your rest.

Along the way I get weary and I fail you
I just can't seem to do all I intend to do
But Lord you strengthen me and carry me
And then I seem to make it through.

I thank you Lord for my valleys
For in and through them I grow
The enemy comes and tries to detour me
when I carry such a load
But you Lord always help me to make it just one more day
So Lord I'll cling to you no matter what problem I face.
