A small explanation
This volume contains papers that were prepared for the
16th colloquium of the Mediterranean Music Studies group of the ICTMD, held in
Izmir on 1-4 June 2026.
The files posted on this website are the articles as they
will appear in the eventual printed book. The site is a work in progress. The
articles will be posted here as the editing work is completed, and they will be
available for public downloading.
A second conference on “Prison Songs of the Mediterranean”
is planned for June 2027, to be held in Athens. If you would like to join the mailing
