What if heaven had a nursery?
The clouds would part for children sweet.
Blue, brown and eyes gray.
Chubby hands, toothless grins and waving feet.

What if they were told secrets
the true secrets of humanity?
Whispered words of wisdom,
about what purpose really is, and how to be.

What if they could choose,
would their love, still be abused?

Would we still say they weren't quite done,
during their months in a warming bun?

Would we give them the chance for the caress of life,
or do we once again command control of the little one's without a name,
and make sure that their vibrant sparks
will never become a roaring flame.

It happens everyday you know..
because the father's past wasn't as white as snow

Or because a drunken night
led to a hasty flight
to the exterminator....

Just another misguided soul
who never took the time out to wonder
past his monthly charted goal
what the repercussions would really be
If Heaven Had A Nursery.
