This craft is a form of exquisitly   patterned  pottery, which was used at the tables of the aristocracy.  Its name means "Five Colors" usually red, black, blue, yellow,green and only these five maybe used to decorateit , althought sometimes gold is add.The glaze is applied by hand, and the patens are small intricate.Very few artists,   like  those  a  Amphawa,  follow  the  craft today so example  of   Bencharong  are rare and much  sought affair.
