Priority Mail a Barbershop Quartet

Welcomes You

Lewis “Lew” Law

 – Lead.  As the original lead in Priority Mail, Lew started his singing career as a youth in church. His love of Southern Gospel music and the aid of a high school friend led him to form a quartet at the age of 16.  Shortly after joining the U.S. Air Force in 1962, Lew formed a mixed Gospel Quartet in Shreveport Louisiana performing Saturdays and Sundays for various special events.  Lew did not start his Barbershop Quarteting until 1982 when Lewis Jr. introduced him to Bob Carlton, Priority Mail-Bass.  The first quality Barbershop quartet Lew heard was the “Great Western Timber Company”.  After that Lompoc show, Lew made a comment to Bob that he was interested in knowing how four voices could make that kind of harmony without the use of an acoustical instrument.  Lew has been hooked on Barbershop ever since.  Working as a System Security Engineer at Vandenberg AFB, Lew and his wife Janis, Tenor in “Singin Heart” enjoy a comfortable life in Lompoc with their Daughter and three grand daughters. Lewis Jr. lives in central Florida and enjoys singing with the Greater Canaveral Barbershop Chorus.
