| Tim's Story |

| I'm living in Anderson, south of Redding in North California. I'm staying with the Churchwells (John and Irma), my (first) hostfamily. I go to school in Red Bluff at Red Bluff Union High School, together with 2000 sother tudents. It's a 40 minute drive from where I live. My hostmom is counselor at that school. In my Rotary district (5160) are 18 exchange students from all over the world. We have an activity almost every two weeks. At school, there are 5 exchange students, and we are excpecting a sixth somewhere next month. We formed our own club to share our cultures and to celebrate our national holidays. The club is also open to any americans who want to join. Currently, we have 20 members. I'm president of this club. I'm also president of the Rotary Interact club at campus, which is involved in community service. The club consists of 7 members. I am also involved in Club M.E.Ch.A. a hispanic culture club formed by the hispanic students at campus. My hostmom, Irma Churchwell, is counselor for this club. They perform modern and ballet folklorico for elementary and high schools to share the mexican culture. Right now, I've almost spend half of my year in the USA... Tim |
