| Hundreds of demonstrators rallied Sunday against the possible war with Iraq and 'racist witch hunts' by U.S. authorities following the Sept.11 atacks. Police swiftly arrested a dozen protestors who breached barriers near the White House. Sara has a question, since Bush is asking for a weapons inspection everywhere else, why hasn't their been an inspection in America? I bet people would be surprised at what was found. Anyway, this is what 18-year-old freshman from Howard University said during the protest: "This is the center of all the racist attacks on people of color that have been happening for so long..(about 9/11). Lindsay continued to talk about how the FBI and Immigration and Naturalization Service are going to universities and demanding files on certain students. Well, if you ask me, that's gotta go against some rights. "We will defend ourselves and our brothers from these racist witch hunts" Lindsay said. Secretary of state Colin Powell said on CBS that the president "is trying every means not to go to war, but the decision to go to war is in the hands of Saddam Hussein". Sara's comments: hahaha!! yeah right! Bush is just itching to go to war. he's only looking for an excuse to persuade the people. these nuclear weapons that were just found in iraq are old, not new. so what? shouldn't we be more worried about north korea? |
