Robin's Rules (or what I've learned so far) |
|
|
|
These rules are basically my life's lessons. So far, I have 89. Because there are so many, I've split them into groups of 20. They are in no particular order, just the order they came to me in. |

|
|
1. Cover your ass.
2. When you want something done your way, do it yourself.
3. Do as much as you can yourself.
4. Don't be a doormat.
5. Know when to ask for help and don't be afraid to.
6. Ask questions when you're not sure about something.
7. Watch your own back and don't listen to anyone who says they'll watch it for you. (Addendum to Rule #1)
8. Be polite and considerate unless otherwise called for.
9. Everyone deserves *at least* a little respect. Only the amount depends on the person.
10. Be careful who you trust.
11. No one automatically deserves trust. That's earned.
12. Don't lie. They're hard to keep track of.
13. Apologize when you're wrong or when you've made a mistake.
14. Stand up for yourself.
15. Stand up for others when necessary. (Addendum to Rule #14)
16. Believe in something, especially yourself.
17. Dreams are not to be made fun of or put down. Sometimes dreams are all that keeps someone going.
18. Laughter is good for the soul.
19. The beauty of the soul lies in the eyes.
20. Everyone has a story. |
