BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE:     X    REPORT             NO REPORT

 

   Building and Grounds Committee Chairman J. Hance gave the following report:

 

  • Some of the projects that the committee will be addressing for the upcoming season are:

 

  1. Repair the leak in the roof around the chimney.
  2. Paint the roof.
  3. Remodel the area around the fireplace.
  4. Obtain replacement parts for the stove.
  5. Install an additional light fixture above the kitchen sink.
  6. Paint the kitchen.
  7. Maybe replace the floor in the kitchen.
  8. Paint the gun room hallway.

 

  • There will be a work detail week-end on April 16th & 17th at the club. Giving the cabin a good ‘Spring Cleaning’ along with other projects is the agenda so far. Food and beverages will be served. NOTE: We will also be celebrating the 83rd birthday of Mr. John Bloom.

 

BY-LAWS COMMITTEE:        X    REPORT            NO REPORT

 

President Joe Conrey gave the following report:

 

  • The By-Laws committee met at the club at 1100 hrs. on March 6th.   Significant progress was made by the committee reviewing the by-laws.

 

  • The next committee meeting will be on April 10th at 1000 hrs.

        BEGINNING BALANCE:  $4048.86          ENDING BALANCE:      $5047.01

 

 

 

 

   Treasurer C. Wilkins gave the following report:

 

·        Chuck noted that many members are delinquent with their 2005 dues. He also stated that some members have not made any dues payments so far this year. The members who are delinquent are: C. Bergen, John Conrey, D. Gallagher, C. Manning, A. Kurlecki, T. McCarty, D. Moore, J. Moritz, D. Osmun, N. Voorhees, P. Conrey, K. Austin and C. Wilkins.

 

Expenses:

·        $173.44 to Amerigas for propane.

·        $90.41 to Connective for electric. (estimated bill)

 

Income:

·        Some of the members present brought their dues up to date.

·        A deposit of $1262.00 was made into the clubs bank account.

 

APPLICATIONS/MEMBERSHIP:

 

  • The final reading of Kevin Healey’s application for membership was brought up for a vote. An observant member in attendance noted that Kevin had his checkbook in his hand. Kevin was then voted in unanimously by the members present. Welcome aboard Kevin!

 

ELECTIONS:  NOTHING

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

  • The Sportsmen’s Challenge sponsored by Billy Boy will take place on April 3rd   2005. The cost will be $45.00 per man. See Joe Conrey if you will be attending.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

  • Ex-member Jim DiCioccio was given Honorary Membership status due to his donations of firewood to the club.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS:

 

  • Congratulations to President Joe Conrey on his retirement from many years of dedicated public service.

 

  • Walt Cheesman Jr. donated a new charcoal grill to the club.
