NEW BUSINESS:
·
President Joe Conrey
suggested the $25.00 usually donated upon the passing of a member’s immediate
family be increased to $35.00. The $50.00 donation for the passing of a member
will remain the same. The members present approved the change.
·
President Conrey announced
the formation of a by-laws committee consisting of himself, Chuck Wilkins, John
Hance, Steve Fitzsimmons, Al Massa, John Conrey and Don Osmun. Joe would like
to see the committee meet twice a month, for the next few months, to review the
current by-laws and make recommendations for any necessary changes. Copies of
the current by-laws will be posted at the club for the general membership to
review. Any member who would like to make a recommendation for a change is
encouraged to contact a committee member. One change President Conrey suggested
is the possible addition of a policy to deal with members who are late with
dues payments. A monetary fine and/or a restriction of hunting privileges were
suggested.
·
President Conrey noted that
he might have someone who would be willing to purchase the beer keg cooler
behind the bar. No firm asking price was set. Some members present suggested
that we should be happy to get whatever we can for it.
·
President Conrey would like
to see the Building and Grounds Committee come up with a list of needed
projects which would be considered large expenditures. Some items he suggested
are the purchase of high quality paint for the roof and the possibility of
having it mechanically applied. The
installation of a larger sink in the small restroom so members would be able to
wash dishes, pots and pans in the winter months when the kitchen water system
is winterized. Al Massa suggested that we look into replacing the hot water
heater in the small restroom, since no one is really sure of its age and
overall condition.
OTHER
BUSINESS:
·
President Conrey noted that
a patron at the Woodshed Bar has free beagle puppies available to a good home.
The pups are supposedly ready to hunt.
