In the absence of Cabin
Committee Chairman T. McCarty, President J. Conrey gave the following report:
- New propane furnace has been delivered, thanks
to Jack Moritz. Furnace has a 155,000 Btu. output. Installation will be sometime in the
future. Installation of additional propane tanks was discussed. If we opt
for a 500gal. in-ground tank, we will be responsible for installation.
Tank would have to be installed at least 10 ft. from the building. It was
agreed that all options would be explored.

APPLICATIONS/MEMBERSHIP:
- Regretfully, Kris Austin has withdrawn his
application for Jr. Membership.
ELECTIONS: NOTHING
OLD BUISNESS:
- Motion passed to pay J. Moritz $350.00 for new
propane furnace.
- Sportsmen Challenge is still on for March 28,
2004. See President J. Conrey for more details.
NEW BUISNESS:
- Rickey Jones donated small clothes dryer.
- Donation of a propane space heater by J.
Conrey.
- Wood stove donation by Walt Cheeseman Jr.
- Discussion of “Quiet
Time” after midnight during Deer Week.
- Motion was made by J.
Hance to form a new “Buildings and Grounds Committee”. The addition of this Committee to the
existing club By-Laws would be stated as follows: “ The Building and
Grounds Committee shall be composed of: The Cabin Committee Chairman; the
Club Treasurer; One (1) Executive Officer or Trustee and up to two (2)
members in good standing. The Club President shall serve as a member
Ex-Officio and shall appoint one (1) member of the Committee to serve as
Chairman on a yearly basis. The duties of the Committee would include, but
not limited to: The routine maintenance of the building and its contents
and all exterior grounds of the club; They shall prioritize the needs for
club improvements; They shall solicit, review and recommend work to be
done by outside contractors; They shall schedule the dates and agendas for
work details and work weekends; The Chairman or his designee shall submit
a report at all monthly club meetings for general membership approval; The
Committee shall have the power to spend monies not to exceed a
predetermined amount , set by the membership, for necessary club repairs without prior general membership approval; Any
expenditure that exceeds this predetermined amount for emergency repairs will
require a majority vote of the Committee”. A motion was made and passed by
the members present to approve the By-Laws change.
- A motion was made and
passed to set an amount of $250.00 that the Building and Grounds Committee
can spend without prior general membership approval.
- A motion was made and
passed to purchase twelve (12) PRG camo ball hats and twelve (12) PRG
hunter orange ball hats for the amount of $311.00. The hats will be
available to all members for a cost of $15.00 each. As in the past, Steve
Fitzsimmons will be in charge.
