OLD BUISNESS:
· Deer Week went well, everyone had a good time.
· As of 1-19-03, we are waiting for the final inspection for the new well.
· Jack Moritz suggested that we check with the water testing co. to see if there will be additional charges if we find a problem with the original sample, and follow up testing is required.
NEW BUISNESS:
· New electric space heater has been installed in small bathroom to keep pipes from freezing. Please do not turn off! This was done as a solution to our temperamental furnace problems.
· Jack Moritz suggested that we might need to acquire a new fuel oil tank. Problem with furnace may be that it looses it’s “prime” do to new fuel feed line arrangement.
· Chuck is our new “Web Master” @ http://www.geocities.com/princetonrodandgun
· Dave Russel will research our club becoming affiliated with other “Sportsmen Organizations”. We are now a CMP affiliated club.
· It was suggested and decided that a new “Ways & Means Committee” be formed. Research will be done by the committee on how to raise monies to purchase items for club improvements. Greg Holmes, Jack Moritz, Dave Russel and Dennis Moore will serve as committee members. The committee will report to the membership at the club’s monthly meetings. All members are encouraged to assist the committee.
· The need for club insurance (fire, liability) was discussed. It was agreed by all that this is a priority. Research will be done by Steve Fitzsimmons, who will report back at a future club meeting on his findings.
· Greg Holmes reported that he has done research into purchasing a new automatic feed trap system that holds 144 “birds" and is 12 volt d.c. powered. The cost will be under $1000.00. A suggestion was made that a $20.00 per member assessment be used to purchase the new trap. After a discussion among all present, no action was taken.
· A new “hunter safety” system was discussed. Greg Holmes suggested a warning flag and/or sign-in sheet be utilized to warn other members when hunters are in the woods behind the club. A map showing the location of all tree stands surrounding club property was also suggested. Greg will follow-up.
· The club Secretary will send out a news letter to all members to advise them on the new dues increase and other important information for 2003.
· A $5.00 50/50 was run at the conclusion of the meeting.
