| Capitol cinema is gone though the building still remains. Golden Theatre is now associated with sleazy old men jerking off while getting excited over whatever porn movies showing in the theatres. When I first entered this place (to watch the French art film The Piano Teacher), the art deco style of the interior design transported me to the past (a la the flashback technique used in Titanic). No harm fantasizing being part of the 50s style and fashion though. I shall be a historian for a day and try digging its history. |
