One-minute life is at its peak
You feel like youve won
Like you're floating in fact
You feel like things couldnt be better.
But the next minute changes that
You feel like the loser
Like your world is falling down
The earth is spinning and it seems youve lost your footing.
You cant believe what has happened
Why he could do that to you
Your special day
And he went and stripped it away.
What can you do?
Take revenge on him
Back to the old life and its wicked ways?
Put things into question
To determine his reason.
Has he neither soul nor moral character?
Is there someone else?
Am I not attractive anymore?
Was this a game to him?
The questions could go on for an eternity
As can this pain in my heart.
Just as I think its safe to move on
There he is standing on the street corner
Talking to his pals
How can he laugh and joke after what happened?
But if you look closely hes being torn apart from the inside
In front of me actually stands a man rugged and tired
With no sleep and dried tears on his cheek
The truth is, hes hurting too.
So this is where my life has lead me
Mortal life is stupid
Stupid rules and stupid people
And most of all, this stupid thing called love.
No compass life hands you can point you in the right direction
Because you know you love him
And you know its wrong
But since when have you ever listened to what is right and wrong?
