Okay, I'm pretty damn picky about fics that I read--if they are too cliche, or have too many grammar/spelling mistakes, I abandon them immediately. So, that being said, the fics posted here are only the best of the best. I took the liberty of summarizing the fics myself, and writing what in particular I liked about them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did, and please leave the people some reviews! *** Novel-Length Fics Irresistible Poison By Rhysenn Summary: Whilst attempting to make a loss-of-substance potion using one of his father's Dark Magic books, Draco mistakenly brews a Love Potion, and drinks it. The first person he sees after this is Harry, so by fault of the potion, Draco falls in love with him. This story follows the progress of their relationship, as they try to find a cure to Draco's potion (which should be permanant) and in the process become closer to one another. This is one of my favorite fics of all time--it's just that awesome. It's so moving that it made me cry several times. The plot is quite original, and the way she goes about writing it is very unique, as well. Her writing style is amazing--she goes into so much description that you can actually see what's happening without much effort. A definite must-read for all Harry/Draco shippers. Rating: PG-13 (snogs) Genres: Romance/Drama Chapters: 15, plus a sub-chapter. Status: Completed. |

| On The Last Day Of Our World By Sansa Summary: After serving a detention together, Harry and Draco find themselves locked in a strange room. The next morning when they finally get to unlock the door, they find that the entire world is deserted--save for the two of them. They eventually develop a relationship, which is tested by several creative plot twists. This story sort of puts you into a kind of trance--you just can't stop reading it, and it kind of spooks you. It's just such a weird prospect, to be alone in the world, literally. The language is very elaborate, just as the plot. Generally a very well thought-out story, and extremely touching. Rating: R (mild sexual content) Genres: Romance/Mystery/Angst Chapters: 17 Status: Completed. |
| A Thousand Beautiful Things By Duinn Fionn Summary: After the war, a curse befalls Harry that causes him to spout horrible insults to everyone around him every evening, starting at sunset. This strange hex puzzles everyone--that is, except for Draco Malfoy. Draco alone knows how to cure Harry of his curse, but it will cost him quite a lot... A romance buds between the two eventually, but will the rumors tear them apart? This is another really moving fic, and it's very slow paced, which I like. It's really told like a novel, and not rushed in the slightest. The plot is also very thought out, and not at all your average Harry/Draco fic. Rating: Heavy R (sexual content) Genres: Romance/Angst Chapters: 9 (but they are VERY long). Status: Completed |
| The Delicate Sound Of Thunder By Duinn Fionn Summary: Sequel to "A Thousand Beautiful Things." Draco fears his secrets will be revealed to Harry, so he goes to some pretty desperate measures to prevent this. Unfortunately, it backfires, and he and Harry wind up having more problems.... The plot to this one isn't as deep, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. Rating: Heavy R (sexual content) Genres: Romance/Drama Chapters: 7 (but one of them is a prologue). Status: Completed. |
| Change My World By Charlottesomtimes Summary: Not very plotty, but very good. Harry and Draco start spending more time together, doing things besides bickering. Watch as their relationship based on physical acts turns to something more, and watch them deal with the social aspects of it. Rating: NC-17 (sexual content) Genres: Romance/Humor/Fluff Chapters: 19 Status: Completed, and there's a sequel up, but I haven't read it yet. |
| Dragon Tamer By Jennavere Summary: A crack humor fic. When Lucius tries to get Draco to marry Pansy, he must pretend Harry Potter is his boyfriend in order to get out of it. Will the fake relationship develop into something... well, less fake? Oh yes, yes it will. Extremely funny--do not read this late at night, because you WILL wake up the neighborhood with all the laughing. | Starts With A Spin By Maxine Chan Summary: The seventh years start to have weekly parties, where they play games. Games like Spin The Bottle, and Truth Or Dare. What happens when Draco spins the bottle and it lands on Harry? This is the kind of fic that will drive you absolutely insane--it's just so addictive. I read it several times while waiting for Maxine to update... *shakes head* Rating: NC-17 (sexual content) Genres: Romance/Humor/Angst Chapters: 17 Status: Completed. |
| Beautiful World by Cinnamon Summary: After hearing some unexpected, terrible news, Harry fears dying, while Draco fears what life will bring. Three times each day, Draco unwittingly saves Harry from certain death, which brings them closer after a while. Can Draco save Harry from the inevitable, as well? This is a VERY sad fic, it made me cry VERY hard. Not only that, but it's beautifully written with a never-before-seen plot. Another definite must-read. Rating: Heavy R. | Staring Contests, Snow, And Kiddies By Untouchable-Life Summary: Harry and Draco get de-aged to four years old at the fault of a potion gone awry, and become best friends. Every day when they wake up, they are a year older, but they have memories from the entire year with them. They develop a relationship shortly before the potion wears off. When they are returned to their normal age, will they remember one another for what they were? Extremely squee-worthy. Enough said. *NOTE:* This one has some grammar/spelling errors, but I liked the story so much that it didn't much matter to me. | *** One Shots Raincoat!Draco By Rhysenn Summary: During the summer, Draco shows up on Harry's doorstep wearing nothing but a raincoat and a pair of rubber boots. To what does he owe this pleasure? Since this is by Rhysenn (my favorite fic author ever) it is excellent, and quite original. A bit of comic relief is good every once in a while. Rating: PG-13 Genres: Romance/Humor/light Angst Ooh, Something Shiny By Cinnamon Summary: This is quite different from Cinnamon's other fic, "Beautiful World," so don't worry. Draco decides to supervize Harry during a detention given by Filch, and they wind up trapped in a broom closet with a drunken mop, and a rabid, man-eating beanbag chair trying to knock the door down. Will they be able to put aside their differences in order to overcome this very odd situation? A hilarious fic, well written. Rating: PG-13 Genres: Romance/Humor Night Of The Round Table By Rhysenn Summary: Harry and Draco are in detention, instructed to put together a table. They say some interesting things, and from the other side of the door, it might sound like they're doing something other than assembling a table... | Freudian Slip By Jennavere Summary: Draco's obsession with Harry Potter is driving his parents crazy, so they send him to therapy. The entire fic is ridden with... well, Freudian Slips. | Batman and Catwoman by Jennavere Summary: Batman and Catwoman are companion pieces, Catwoman being the sequel to Batman. Firstly, in Batman, it's Harry's eighteenth birthday party, and the Malfoys show up. Draco winds up getting drunk with Harry, and uncovers Harry's "secret identity" as well as revealing his own. Next, in Catwoman, the two deal with the morning after, where lots of more strange things go down, including leather and surprise appearances. Just plain hilarious, the both of them, and adorable, too. Rating: PG-13 Genres: Romance/Humor |
| Transfigurations by Resonant Summary: Post war, but written before HBP. After a long absence from England, Harry returns to teach at Hogwarts, but although the war is over, there are still things to be dealt with inside the walls of Hogwarts. Students are having seizures, fires are erupting, and nightmares are plaguing the occupants of the school. Together with some old friends, Harry helps work to restore Hogwarts to normal whilst slowly building a different kind of relationship with one Draco Malfoy. An excellent fic, amazing plot, beautifully written. Rating: NC-17. Genres: Mystery/Drama/Romance (but only a bit of romance, really) Chapters: 16 plus an epilogue. Status: Completed |
