| Koji's Tale 3 by Jamie L. Word "Special Visitors" Koji was heading for the Nameccian space ship left to him by Chih when he sensed something. He turned to see a Kai approaching him from the left. Koji watched him walk towards him. "What do you want?" Koji almost growled at the newcomer as he stopped in front of the powerful Saiyan. "My name is Yuen, and I am a Kai," the slender individual replied as he looked Koji in the eyes. "You are Koji, aren't you?" "You must have missed the announcement before the fight," Koji rhetorically replied to the Kai named Yuen. "I am." "Then you are the one he's here for," Yuen cryptically remarked to Koji, pricking his curiosity. "What are you talking about?" Koji inquired slightly confused. "Who is here for me, and why is someone here for me?" "Fourteen years ago, you killed a young Changeling by the name of Tarboz," Yuen began, irritating Koji with knowledge he already knew. "I've killed a lot of people over the last twenty-five years," Koji interjected, not even trying to disguise his irritation. "Tarboz was one of them. I destroyed that miserable buffoon on the planet Sagea. What's your point, Kai?" "His father has come to this planet to enter the tournament so that he can avenge his son's death at your hands," Yuen continued undaunted. "He is far more powerful than his son could even imagine. I've come to offer you my assistance in this battle." "Offer me your assistance in this battle?" Koji repeated rhetorically, sounding like he was greatly offended by Yuen's offer. "How dare you presume to sully my honor! If Tarboz's father has come to challenge me to a fight, then I will not disappoint him!" "No!" the startled Kai cried out in disbelief as he looked into Koji's intense eyes. "You can't! You don't understand! He's far more powerful than his son was! You must listen to me!" "I too am far more powerful than his son was," Koji interrupted impatiently. "I've grown much stronger in these last fourteen years, and I'm not afraid of any Changeling! Remember, Frieza was killed only a few months ago by a Saiyan! I'm not afraid of this new Changeling! Now, if you have no relevant information to share with me, I'm retiring for a while to rest for tomorrow's tournament action. Good day." Koji turned and walked away from the young Kai, but he paused when he sensed something else. Looking up, he saw a space ship descend from the sky and land near his ship. He watched as the ship boarding ramp lowered, and two people in Earth space suits stepped out. They pulled their helmets off, revealing one of them to be a beautiful, red-haired human female and the other one to be a taller, bald human male. They turned their attention to Koji. "Hi!" the lady said with a big smile on her face. "My name is Yuko, and I'm from Earth!" "Hello, Yuko from Earth," Koji answered as if unimpressed. "I am Koji, and I am one of the last survivors from the planet Vegeta." "A Saiyan? Really?" the bald man inquired excitedly. "Hey, I'm Yoshio, and I'm from Earth too!" "So what brings you to this place?" Koji asked, trying to be somewhat polite for reasons he himself could not understand. "Exploration," Yuko said as she walked closer to Koji, prompting Yoshio to do the same. "Hey! You know you're kind of cute!" "Kind of cute?" Koji retorted, a bit befuddled and uncertain how to take the compliment. "What?" "Yeah!" Yuko continued as she amired him dreamily. "I've only seen a handful of Saiyans on Earth, and only one of them was nice or nice-looking, but you're quite the looker, pal!" "Bah! I am a warrior," Koji responded trying to dismiss the attentions of this Earth woman, but, somehow, he felt something inside him as a result of this meeting. "Appearances do not matter to me. I am a warrior, nothing more and nothing less. Looks are meaningless on the battlefield." "I too am a warrior," Yoshio interjected as he extended his hand to Koji. "I was trained by a great master and a few of his friends." "You're a weakling, human," Koji replied almost disdainfully, ignoring Yoshio's offer of a handshake. "Weakling?" Yoshio retorted, taking great offense at that comment. "Well, that's not a very nice thing to say!" "It was the truth, human," Koji replied, maintaining his same stance and facial expression. "Learn to live with it." Yoshio quickly slipped out of his space suit and discarded it to the side, revealing an orange outfit like Goku's. He was well-muscled fighter, about Koji's size, and he took a fighting stance in front of Koji. Yuko backed up nervously, but Koji merely grinned in amusement. "Yoshio, what do you think you're doing?" Yuko cried out in abject horror. "What about keeping your cool and minding your manners?" "This arrogant jerk shouldn't have insulted me like that!" Yoshio growled in his anger. "Now I'm going to teach him some manners!" "This should be amusing," Koji said with a smile as he watched Yoshio's fighting stance and movements closely, scrutinizing them thoroughly. "I'm going to give you a look at my teacher's favorite attack, the one he taught a Saiyan boy over a decade ago!" Yoshio snarled at Koji as he assumed a kamehameha stance. "It's called the kamehameha! Here goes!" Yoshio called out the name "kamehameha" with a long, drawn-out battle cry as powered up the blast between his hands! Koji noted this with pricked interest, analyzing the technique closely! Yoshio launched his kamehameha blast at Koji from close range, but Koji just put his open hand up into the path of the incoming blast with his palm facing it! The blast slammed into Koji's hand and exploded! When the cloud of smoke and dust cleared, Koji was unharmed and slightly amused as he chuckled at the stunned humans. "Let me see if I've got this straight," Koji said as he assumed a kamehameha stance, amazing the humans and charging up a sphere of energy between his hands. "Kamehameha!" Koji fired a kamehameha blast towards Yoshio, and Yoshio dropped prone on the ground, allowing the blast to pass over his head and off into the distance where it exploded harmlessly with much more power than Yoshio's! Yoshio stood back up and looked at the explosion in total shock, as did Yuko! They then turned their attention back to Koji, who was smiling! "Interesting technique," Koji said with a smile as he lowered his hands and stood in a relaxed stance. "You and your girlfriend are a very amusing couple, even if I say so myself." "He's not my boyfriend!" Yuko corrected Koji excitedly as she slipped out of her space suit to reveal a casual outfit that accentuated her beauty. "He's my brother!" "Huh?" Koji muttered with an odd expression of embarassment on his face, actually blushing. "Well, I - uh ... oh, nevermind! Good day!" Koji made his way inside his Nameccian space ship rather quickly and closed the door behind him. Yuko watched this with some confusion, but Yoshio looked back at the clearing signs of the kamehameha explosion in the distance. Yuko pondered what she had just seen. From a short distance away, Yuen watched from behind another space ship, looking disappointed about something. |
