Chapter 7
Ho-Jun and Kenichi continued their battle against each other! Kenichi then broke away and made some distance between himself and the Namek! Ho-Jun recognized what Kenichi was up to, and he smiled!
"I don't believe your power is as great as you claim!" Kenichi shouted in disbelief at the Namek, removing his scouter and discarding it in disgust. "Baah! This blasted thing must be busted! They're no way you have such a high power level! And I didn't even bring the manual!"
"You're in denial!" Ho-Jun replied as he hovered in mid-air like Kenichi, only in a lot better mood. "Well, it's time for a reality check, and here I am!"
Kenichi grimaced as he charged up a powerful energy blast in one hand and fired it at Ho-Jun, but Ho-Jun responded by quickly charging up an energy blast in one hand and firing it into Kenichi's blast! The two colliding blasts exploded powerfully, and the two fighters quickly moved up above the explosion! Kenichi opened up with a rapid-fire multi-shot attack against the Namek! Ho-Jun responded by dodging each and every blast as each missed blast exploded against the landscape, frustrating the Saiyan warrior!
"What's the matter, Kenichi?" Ho-Jun taunted the furious Saiyan as he continued to evade his blasts. "I think your aim is a little off!"
"You blasted green-skinned freak! I'll get you!" Kenichi roared in his rage as he began charging up a single powerful energy blast similar to Vegeta's gallic gun technique. "Let's see what you do against this! Dodge it if you want to, but it will be the end of this planet if I hit it with this blast!"
"He's right!" Ho-Jun thought to himself as he grimaced in sheer determination to prevent the destruction of the planet, no matter what the cost. "There's enough power in that blast to trigger a chain reaction with the planet's core that would result in the planet exploding within minutes of being hit by the blast! I have to stop him!"
Ho-Jun began charging up a tremendously powerful energy ball between his hands as he positioned his hands as if trying to open a jar at waist level! Between the two attacks being charged, both fighters became surrounded by glowing energy auras, and the winds began to howl around them! The sky went dark as lightning flashed in the heavens, and the ground below began to shake violently as small pebbles, stones, and rocks began rising high into the sky!
In the distance, a strong breeze washed over the siblings as they continued in their quest to find the Namek! They hesitated a moment as they sensed the incredible energies being gathered up ahead of them!
"Uhhh! Do ya think we're close enough yet?" Kyoji inquired as he turned to his sister, sharing her nervous apprehension of getting any closer to that much power.
"Well, uhhh, I'm af-f-fraid s-s-so, Kyoji!" the young lady muttered in abject terror as she noted the great power ahead. "Not that I really want to, though!"
Back at the battlefield, Kenichi fired his powerful gallic gun-like attack with a scream of exertion! Ho-Jun cried out the name of his technique, firing a makosen-ha technique into Kenichi's blast! The two blasts struggled against each other, pushing against each other in an effort to overtake each other! The two warriors continued to channel more and more of their energy into the blasts in an effort to overwhelm each other and win the battle! The sky went black from the great energy being exerted in its presence, and whirlwinds of flying debris formed around the mighty warriors!
The struggle continued for almost two full minutes before Ho-Jun's makosen-ha attack began overpowering Kenichi's attack, driving it back towards the incredulous Saiyan warrior! Kenichi's yell of effort was replaced by a scream of terror as he realized that the Namek's power was too much for him! Ho-Jun's blast quickly overtook Kenichi's blast, driving it back second by second! Closer and closer it came to the mighty Saiyan, and Kenichi grimaced in horror and frustration as he realized that he couldn't defeat the Namek!
"Oh, no!" Kenichi thought to himself as he watched his end approach in frustrated horror. "This can't be happening! Now Sawao will laugh at me for my failure! I am dishonored! I am a disgrace! This ridiculous Namek is going to beat me, and there's nothing I can do about it! Oh, well. At least, Sawao will be along shortly to finish this planet off, including that wretched Namek!"
"Hmmm," Ho-Jun muttered as he noticed Kenichi beginning to grin through his frustration and his disappointment. "What's he smiling about?"
Ho-Jun's makosen-ha attack had finally driven Kenichi's blast back into him, and both blasts exploded when they slammed into Kenichi! A giant smoke cloud formed, obscuring the view of the Saiyan warrior! After several moments, the smoke cloud dispersed, and Kenichi was no more! Suddenly, Ho-Jun's attention was drawn to the sound of applause from the ground below, behind him!
Turning to see the source of the applause, Ho-Jun saw the terrible sight, which put a lump in his throat. There was another Saiyan, newly arrived at the battlefield. He was not like any of the others. He was tall and heavily muscled, with shoulder-length wild black hair! He wore a sleeveless black spandex tunic with a matching pair of long pants, and he wore Saiyan armor consisting of a chest protector, shoulderpads with spikes on them, waist padding flaps, arm pads, muscle bands, and the traditional white boots. He also had a scouter on his face and a brown tail wrapped around his waist. He had a black goatee and a few scars joining his lantern jaw in adorning his face. His hands were covered with white gloves, and he grinned evilly at Ho-Jun, who almost trembled while sensing the Saiyan's power.
"Well done, Namek!" the new Saiyan said calmly as he addressed the mighty Namek warrior. "I would've done that eventually. Kenichi was an annoying thorn in my side. I was getting tired of his obnoxious gloating. It was becoming a drag having to baby-sit the pathetic runt."
"Wh-who are you?" Ho-Jun finally managed to mutter in incredulous disbelief as he regarded the powerful Saiyan warrior.
"You've been living in a dream, Namek!" the Saiyan warrior taunted the wary Namek. "Well, it's time to wake up! The dream's over! I am your nightmare!"
The Saiyan warrior laughed sinisterly at Ho-Jun at that last comment, prompting the Namek to grimace as he steeled his resolve.
"My name is Sawao," the Saiyan warrior announced with a sinister smirk on his face. "I'm going to burn my name and face into your memory for an eternity, right before I send you to the next dimension!"
Ho-Jun blurred out of sight, reappearing right in front of Sawao, throwing a punch at the Saiyan! Sawao blurred out of sight, causing Ho-Jun's punch to pass right through the empty air where he was originally standing! Before Ho-Jun could regain his composure, he felt Sawao's elbow slam into his back with thunderous impact, knocking the heroic Namek across the battlefield and into a mountain which caused the mountain to collapse on top of Ho-Jun! Sawao laughed!
"Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but at least you're entertaining!" Sawao declared as he laughed once again.
The pile of rubble on top of Ho-Jun was suddenly scattered, and Ho-Jun glared grimacingly at the terrible Saiyan warrior! Sawao merely smirked as he chuckled at the mighty Namek fighter! Ho-Jun analyzed the new foe!
"I can't believe it!" Ho-Jun thought to himself as he studiously scrutinized the entire situation he was in. "Despite my increased power, he's much stronger than I am! He's so fast too! He's far more dangerous than Kenichi! I'll have to give it everything I've got to beat him! I'm a little worn down from all the energy I used to defeat Kenichi! I'm not at full strength! I don't know if I can beat this guy!"
Ho-Jun removed his cape and tossed it aside! It crashed to the ground with a significant thud! Sawao's confidence remained unphased by this!
"I already know about your little trick with the weighted cape, Namek," Sawao informed his foe. "The scouter isn't just to read power levels. It's also a two-way communicator. I heard everything from your earlier battles with my crew!"
"Then I suppose formal introductions won't be necessary!" Ho-Jun replied as he assumed a fighting stance, looking serious.
"Correct, Ho-Jun," Sawao said with a devious grin that still seemed to send a shiver down the Namek's spine. "Now, let's just cut to the chase, shall we?"
"As you wish!" Ho-Jun replied as he sped from his position like a shot and flew right at Sawao to attack.
The two warriors engaged in a fierce hand-to-hand battle, eclipsing the battles Ho-Jun had with Kenichi in intensity and ferocity! They moved even faster than Kenichi, and their exchanges echoed across the landscape with greater loudness! Sawao seemed to be enjoying their battle, but Ho-Jun didn't seem so thrilled!
"Even with my increased speed and power since discarding my weighted cape, I'm having trouble with this guy, and he seems to be enjoying the battle immensely!" Ho-Jun thought to himself as he fought Sawao. "This is nuts!"
"What's the matter, Namek?" Sawao taunted as he continued to clash with the mighty Namek warrior. "Not enjoying the fight? Well, I'll try to make this more exciting then!"
With that said, Sawao slammed a punch into Ho-Jun's jaw with incredible force, knocking the Namek warrior across the landscape once again! Pulling himself up, Ho-Jun rubbed his badly bruised jaw with one hand while scanning the skies for signs of Sawao! Sawao was nowhere to be found!
"His strength is unbelievable!" muttered Ho-Jun as he continued to look around for signs of the Saiyan. "I don't know how much more of that I can withstand! I have to take this guy out and fast, but how? How can I hit him if I can't find him? He's quick! I'll have to concentrate if I'm going to sense his presence!"
"Looking for me?" came a voice from behind the Namek, unquestionably the voice of the Saiyan warrior Sawao.
Ho-Jun turned around in time to see Sawao standing behind him with a fully charged energy attack at the end of a single extended hand aimed at him! Before the Namek could respond, Sawao fired the blast at him! The Namek managed to evade most of the blast, but his left arm was caught in the blast! Ho-Jun screamed in excruciating agony as the blast continued onward and exploded in the distance with terrible force and landscape devastation! Ho-Jun dropped to one knee, clutching the stump of his severed limb, the purple blood dripping from the wound! Sawao smiled before laughing mockingly at the Namek's plight!
"Oh, I wouldn't laugh so soon!" Ho-Jun growled with a slight grin on his face through the pain of his injury.
With that said, Ho-Jun stood back to his feet, and he appeared to be ready to power-up! Sawao watched on with curious interest! Ho-Jun screamed into the sky and a new arm almost exploded from the stump of the old one, catching the Saiyan completely by surprise!
"My, what a handy little trick!" Sawao replied as he regained his composure. "I'm very impressed. What do you do for an encore?"
"I take care of you!" the resolutely determined Namek warrior replied in a low tone as he assumed a fighting stance once again.
The two warriors renewed their great battle, but this time Ho-Jun seemed to be in control of the fight! He hammered Sawao with a series of powerful punches and kicks that echoed like thunder in the distance, bruising the Saiyan and drawing blood from a cut on his cheek! Sawao strangely seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the beating he was receiving from the Namek! Ho-Jun continued to pummel Sawao with his fierce asault for several more seconds before he stopped and backed away, breathing heavily! Sawao smiled, and then he chuckled!
"Not bad, Namek," Sawao snarled in gleeful appreciation for the power of his opponent. "I must commend you. Your speed and strength are truly incredible, and I can see how Kenichi would fall to a great fighter like you, but I am not Kenichi! I am a superior fighter! Kenichi was a joke compared to me!"
"Kenichi was a great warrior, but he couldn't compete with my increased power from when the Sovereign Elder of the Davorkian people awakened my hidden power!" Ho-Jun explained, as he stood ready to continue the battle. "You're a lot stronger that he was, but I'm not backing down from you because I'm a lot stronger than Kenichi was as well!"
"You fool!" Sawao responded in his incredible arrogant overconfidence. "You're badly weakened from your battles against Kenichi and the others! You're energy is almost all used up! I, however, am still near my full power level of eight thousand! You don't stand a chance!"
"That may be so, but I'm the only thing standing between you and this planet, and I don't intend to just stand aside and let you destroy this planet!" Ho-Jun replied with a firm resolve to stand up to the Saiyan. "If you want to do your evil deeds around here, you're going to have to go through me!"
"With pleasure!" Sawao growled in utter enthusiasm as he wiped the blood from his face with the back of his fist.
