| Ho-Jun The Namek Chapter 3 Dr. Ono had managed to land the ship on the planet without too much difficulty, much to the surprise and relief of the others. They all stepped off the ship and onto the planet to see it from the outside of the space ship. It was like a cross between a tropical forest and a desert. There were palm trees, majestic mountains, sparkling waters, a clear sky, and lots and lots of sand. The gravity and air levels seemed perfectly suitable for them. Master Mitsuya, Kyoji, and Yoko removed their space suits. Master Mitsuya was wearing a white Kung Fu-style outfit, complete with white slipper-type shoes. He picked up his staff and stretched just a bit. Yoko was wearing a nice-looking, feminine colored outfit which resembled a ninja's igabakama but without the gloves or mask. She also wore a pink ribbon in her long hair. She also stretched just a bit. Kyoji was wearing a blue version of of Goten's outfit. He also had his sword strapped to his back. He stretched just a bit as well. Master Mitsuya, Yoko, and Kyoji all took their discarded space suits and tossed them back in the space ship. Dr. Ono kept his space suit on as he noted the planetary environment. Kyoji and Yoko made faces at each other behind Master Misuya's back, taunting and teasing each other in the manner of siblings. "The gravity and atmosphere seem to be very similar to that of the Earth," Dr. Ono informed them matter-of-factly. "I suppose this is as good a place as any to stretch our legs and enjoy a pit stop." Dr. Ono turned around, unfastened his space suit at the crotch, and began relieving himself. Unfortunately, he was urinating on the space ship. The others noted this with dismay. "Gramps!" Yoko called out to him, then, realizing he might turn around, hoped that he wouldn't in his absent-mindedness. "Nevermind." "Hey, at least he didn't do it on the entrance ramp," Kyoji said, finding the only good point of the scenario he could. "You're disgusting, you little twerp!" Yoko fused at him for putting that image into her mind and making her imagine trying to enter the ship over a puddle. "Yeah, well, you're stupid!" Kyoji retorted as he began running across the landscape, enjoying the frolic. "Oooh! That little brat!" Yoko muttered, quite miffed over his comments as she tensed every muscle in her body and let her neck disappear into her torso so that her head was set between her raised shoulders. "Now is a good time to refresh ourselves and let our spirits soar free," Master Mitsuya replied, getting her bewildered attention. "You're not thinking about taking off your clothes and running around naked, are you?" she inquired with just a hint of concern. "If you do, then I'm going back inside the ship, and I'm locking all of you lunatics out!" "Silly child," Master Mitsuya laughed as he regarded the worried young lady with an amused smile. "I wouldn't suggest such a thing." "That's good," she replied with a relieved look on her face. "Between absent-minded gramps and my stupid brat of a brother, I really don't need to see you naked. Besides, I just ate breakfast." "I just meant that we should indulge ourselves in a little relaxation and fun like your little brother is doing! That is all!" Master Mitsuya replied with a hint of hurt in his voice as he addressed her. "Oh, right," Yoko replied as she watched her brother run around all over the place, exploring and playing along the landscape. "I feel better now." Suddenly, she panicked as if noticing something horrible. She let out a low moan of horror, prompting the old master to react. "What is it, Yoko?" the old martial arts master inquired in great concern over her obvious state of terror. "What's the matter?" "I do hope Gramps remembers to wash his hands before handling the space suits!" Yoko answered in solemnness, causing the old master to fall on his back with his feet sticking straight up in the air. "I don't want mine to be wet and smelly when time comes to put it back on again!" Meanwhile, Kyoji was playing and frolicking along, fully enjoying their rest stop. He hopped onto rocks and flipped back off of them as he treated the landscape just like a giant jungle gym. He wore a big, fun-loving grin on his face as he played. In a few moments, he came across a stream of clear, sparkling water, so he quickly stripped down to his shorts and dove right in for a swim. He bobbed back to the surface and playfully spewed water out of his mouth and almost straight into the air, simulating a whale. He laughed as he continued to swim around the stream happily. Master Mitsuya smiled at the sight of the young boy having but, but Yoko just wandered off on her own, paying her brother no attention whatsoever. She wandered around a large rocky formation alone, taking in the wondrous beauty of the landscape around her. She was enthralled, almost enraptured, in the serenity and the tranquility she felt as she beheld and explored the landscape. So much was she enthralled that she didn't sense someone close by observing her. Then she turned and looked up, suddenly seeing her observer. She let out a scream that resounded across the landscape, getting the attention of Kyoji and Master Mitsuya. Kyoji quickly got out of the stream, threw on his clothes, and raced to his sister's aid with Master Mitsuya. When they arrived at her side, they saw her looking up in the air and trembling in fear, her bottom lip quivering as she blubbered in fright. Looking up, they saw the mighty Namek warrior hovering in the air with his powerful arms folded in front of his chest, staring down in silence. Master Mitsuya reacted with great concern as he sensed something about the Namek. Kyoji reacted with shock. "These are not the ones," Ho-Jun thought to himself as he noted their energy. "The girl is the strongest of them, but she is not as strong as the ones I'm hunting. The boy is also quite strong, but he's nothing to the villains I'm after either. The old one must be their mentor. He senses my energy. His energy is quite strong, but his age has weakened him from his prime. The fourth, just past this ridge, is the weakest among them, possessing hardly any energy at all. I doubt he can even channel it to use it. He must be the brains of the outfit." "Master Mitsuya!" Kyoji cried out in fear and confusion to the old martial arts master. "What's that?!?" "I don't know, Kyoji," Master Mitsuya replied as he locked eyes with Ho-Jun. "Maybe he's a native of the planet." "No," Ho-Jun answered in his deep, gutteral voice, startling them with its menacing sound. "I'm a traveler like you." "Wh-who are you?" Yoko finally managed to inquire as she stopped trembling and blubbering in abject fear. "My name is Ho-Jun," the powerful-looking Namek warrior replied to her stoically. "I am a Namek. How about you?" "My name's Yoko, and I'm a human," she replied, her courage building within her as her fear began to fall away. "The kid's my younger brother Kyoji, and this is Master Mitsuya, and their both humans as well. My grandfather is not too far from here. Oh, he's human too, I think." "You should get out of here fast," Ho-Jun informed her stoically, his gaze still not softening yet. "There is a band of ruthless warriors somewhere out here terrorizing the planet and killing everyone they come across. I'm trying to find them and stop them." "A fight? Hey, cool!" Kyoji exclaimed excitedly as he savored the thought of watching a great fight, or even participating. "Can I help, or at least watch?" "Don't be foolish, kid," Ho-Jun rebuked the boy stoically. "These fighters are far stronger than you are. They're stronger than any of you. You wouldn't stand a chance against them." "You know, if it wasn't for the fact that you're green and have big pointy ears and bug-like antennae, you'd be a real looker," Yoko commented, studying the Namek's features closely. "What are you talking about?" Ho-Jun inquired with a perplexed look on his face, stunned and baffled by Yoko's curious statement. "Well, you're not a bad-looking fellow," Yoko confessed, further embarassing the mighty Namek warrior and causing him to blush and then quickly turn his back to them to hide his blushing. "You humans should get out of here right now," Ho-Jun snarled, regaining his composure from his momentary embarassment. "This might be the only chance you get to make it off of this planet alive." Suddenly, they all seemed to sense something looming over them. They turned their attention high over Ho-Jun. Hovering there in the air was a band of fighters. They were Saiyans. They had the traditional wild black hair, brown monkey tails, Saiyan armor, and scouters. The armor of most of the fighters included chest protectors, shoulderpads, muscle bands, white boots, and black, spandex bodysuits consisting of shorts and sleeveless tunics or no tops at all. Their leader wore a black, spandex bodysuit consisting of a long-sleeved tunic and long pants. His armor consisted of a chest protector, shoulderpads, protective arm pads, waist padding, and white boots. They all had their tails wrapped around their waists. "Oh, no!" Ho-Jun thought to himself as he noted the small band of six fighters hovering above him. "This isn't the way I wanted this confrontation! Not with all of these people in the danger zone!" "Hey, Kenichi!" one of the Saiyan warriors called out to their leader. "Check out the newcomers! I wonder what their story is!" "Yes," their sinisterly smiling leader replied as he activated his scouter while scanning them. "They're certainly not locals! Look there! One of them is a Namek!" Kenichi's scouter began registering the power levels of each of the four assembled fighters. Ho-Jun and Master Mitsuya seemed focused on something. The kids seemed to realize the power of their enemies, and they seemed afraid. "It looks like we have a couple of live ones here, boys!" Kenichi chuckled as he noted the power readings. "The Namek has a power level of One thousand, the girl as a power level of twelve hundred, the boy has a power level of three hundred twenty, and the old man has a power level of one hundred forty! It looks like the pretty lady is the strongest among them!" "Huh?" Yoko replied with an incredulous look on her face as she was amazed. "What do you mean, I'm the strongest one?" "You're not the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you?" Kenichi answered her in a bit of rhetorical disgust. "It looks like he's got you pegged about right, sis!" Kyoji commented jokingly with an impish grin on his face. "Shut up, you little brat!" Yoko screamed as she slapped her little brother across his head in anger, prompting him to yelp in pain and rub his head. "I guess I'll let you have some more fun, boys," Kenichi muttered half disgusted at the supposed quality of competition. "There's no one here strong enough to give me any sort of a challenge. You five clean up these bums so we can get off of this dungheap and blow it to smithereens!" With that said, Kenichi flew away, leaving the heroes at the mercy of his five subordinates. Ho-Jun and Master Mitsuya made eye contact in the moments preceeding the fight. "Well, what say we get this show on the road?" one of the Saiyans gloated as they descended slowly towards the three humans and the Namek. "This doesn't look good, but at least it looks better than it did a moment ago," Ho-Jun thought to himself as he and Master Mitsuya return their full attention to the Saiyans. "These Saiyans don't seem to be able to sense our power levels without their scouters. It's just too bad that these kids haven't learned how to mask their energy yet though. That old man knew what to do. He is truly a master!" "It looks like the Namek Ho-Jun can hide his power as well," Master Mitsuya thought to himself as he regarded their opposition. "Too bad Yoko and Kyoji didn't think to do it as well, but those power readings indicate a power level far beyond what they were capable of before we arrived here! How did they get so strong? "At least the leader of these monkey-tailed warriors has left. He was by far the strongest one of the bunch! With him out of the way, we might even stand a chance against his minions!" "I warned you to get out of here!" Ho-Jun snarled at the humans as he prepared to engage the Saiyans in battle. "Oh, well. Just try not to get yourselves killed, okay?" "What?!?" Yoko muttered in disbelief as she regarded the Namek warrior incredulously. "Didn't you hear what that guy said? I'm the strongest one here!" "She's utterly hopeless!" Ho-Jun thought to himself as he regarded the overinflated ego take over her senses. "She doesn't realize that I hid the bulk of my power before that Saiyan could use his scouter to read it. Although I am amazed and impressed that she has such a high power level! And the kid, he's a bit of a firecracker for his age as well! I hope that old man has a lot of power in reserve, a whole lot of power!" "Alright, boys and girls!" one of the five remaining Saiyans called out, getting the attention of the heroes. "Let's get ready to rumble!" Ho-Jun rushed forward with amazing speed and punched the Saiyan spokesperson right in the face, knocking him back through the air for a great distance! Kyoji and Yoko were astounded by the sight of Ho-Jun's speed and skill, and the Saiyans were impressed to say the least! Master Mitsuya then assumed a kamehameha stance and quickly charged the attack while Yoko and Kyoji prepared their weapons for battle! Ho-Jun then charged up an energy attack in his hands and fired a masenko ball at the Saiyan he punched! Simultaneously, Master Mitsuya fired his kamehameha wave at another Saiyan, and that Saiyan's scouter registered the energy blast as it approached! The Saiyan who was hit by Ho-Jun reacted with terror as his scouter detected the power of Ho-Jun's masenko ball! "No way!" the targetted Saiyan screamed in horror as he tried to cover up against Ho-Jun's attack. "There's just no way!" Master Mitsuya's kamehameha wave closed on the Saiyan he fired at, and that Saiyan crossed his forearms in front of himself to defend against the blast! The kamehameha wave slammed into the Saiyan's crossed forearms and exploded! The mighty Namek's masenko ball slammed into the Saiyan he was fighting and exploded with tremendous power! Both explosions left smoke clouds in their wake! When the smoke clouds dissipated, the Saiyan Ho-Jun blasted plumetted to the ground with a trail of smoke wafting from his heavilly damaged form, and the Saiyan hit by Master Mitsuya's kamehameha wave was unharmed by Master Mitsuya's attack, the smoke wafting off of his unphased form! Master Mitsuya, Yoko, and Kyoji reacted with shock that Master Mitsuya's attack didn't hurt the Saiyan! The mighty Namek warrior turned his attention to the last three Saiyans, grimacing at the sight of what he knew would be an uphill battle! The three remaining Saiyans began powering up, and great winds began blowing out of them in all directions! Ho-Jun's cape wafted in the powerful winds as he prepared to fight them! Yoko and Kyoji were frightened to fight against the Saiyan that Master Mitsuya failed to damage! "Yoko! Kyoji! I need your help!" Master Mitsuya called out to his two students, snapping them back to their senses. Kyoji flew towards the Saiyan to attack him with his sword, and Yoko flew at the Saiyan with her bo staff fully extended! The Saiyan began dodging their concerted efforts to hit him with their weapons! Master Mitsuya took up his staff again and leaped up to join them! Ho-Jun then concentrated on the task at hand for him! With a battle cry, he separated into three Nameks and prepared to fight the Saiyans with even numbers! The three Nameks flew at the three Saiyans, interupting their power-ups! The six warriors engaged in a hand-to-hand six-way melee! Below, Master Mitsuya struck a blow against the Saiyan with his staff, but the Saiyan then swatted Master Mitsuya's staff out of his hand and then likewise disarmed the two children! The three humans then resorted to hand-to-hand unarmed techniques against the Saiyan, keeping him on the defensive! At the same time, the three Ho-Jun's were easily holding their own against the three Saiyans! |
