"Chen To The Rescue"
King Kai looked at Gao in incredulous disbelief. Bubbles was jumping up and down excitedly, and Gregory sat on the ground with a sizeable bump on his head. Gao stood proud as a peacock with a heavy mallet in his hand. King Kai was astounded as Gao tossed the mallet aside, and the mallet slammed into the ground with a thunderous thud.
"He hit Gregory with the hammer faster than it took Goku to do it!" King Kai thought to himself as he pondered the spectacle before his eyes. "He's a lot stronger than Goku was when he was here, and the gravity of the planet doesn't even affect him in the least! He's faster than Goku was when he tried to catch Bubbles and Gregory! He's unbelievable! What do I do to train him now? He's too powerful for me to effectively train!"
"Gao hit Gregory on head with hammer but not too hard!" Gao proclaimed as he clap-dusted his hands off.
"That's a matter of opinion!" little Gregory muttered to himself as he rubbed the lump on his head where Gao hit him.
"What we do now?" Gao asked with curious enthusiasm as he bounced from one foot to the other, clapping his hands excitedly. "What we do now? What next? What next?"
"That's just the problem," King Kai thought to himself as he pondered his dilemma while resting his chin in his hand. "I don't know of anything else we could do now! How can I keep this round mound of chuckles occupied now, and where did he come from? I think I'll have to get even with King Yemma for sending this guy here!"
About that time, Chen appeared in their midst, and Gao was overjoyed to see him, jumping up and down in celebration. King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory looked startled to see him.
"Well, there you are!" Chen declared with a smile on his face as he regarded Gao in the midst of King Kai and his friends.
"Kai friend Chen! You here! You really here!" Gao cheered bouncing up and down and clapping his hands cheerfully. "Gao miss Chen all day! Gao have wild time too! Gao met two ogres in fun park and had much fun playing with them! Gao met little man on choo-choo! Gao knocked choo-choo off Snake Way by accident! Gao met big man who tell Gao to come here to find fun! Gao chase monkey and grasshopper! Gao have so much fun! What we do now?"
"How about we take a trip?" Chen declared after a moment of thought. "Just you and me, exploring new places. How about it, Gao?"
"Oh, yes!" Gao shrieked in overabundant enthusiasm as he celebrated the decision of his friend. "That sound fun! Let's do it!"
Chen moved closer to Gao and placed a hand on his merry friend's shoulder as King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory looked on.
"Very well. Let's go!" Chen declared as he and Gao disappeared via the instant transmission technique.
"Thank you, Chen!" King Kai muttered aloud as he wiped the sweat off of his brow and turned his attention back to Bubbles and Gregory. "I hope we don't get stuck babysitting him anymore! I'd rather have to put up with Goku again, even Vegeta or Piccolo!"
Bubbles and Gregory added their two cents' worth in as they agreed with King Kai on that note.
Planet Zefaria.
Gao and Chen arrived on the planet via Chen's instant transmission technique. Looking around, they saw unbelievable devastation all around. Chen was horrified by the sight, and Gao was confused. The entire planet looked to have been ravaged by some sort of horrible war.
"Wh-what h-happened here?" Chen inquired rhetorically as he looked across the landscape in abject horror. "Who could have done such a thing?"
"What wrong?" Gao asked as he also looked around at the ruins and the carnage across the landscape. "This planet look bad! No fun here!"
"I don't understand this!" Chen gasped, horrified at the terrible vision that continued to bombard his eyes as he looked around. "This planet was full of jovial, fun-loving people! This entire planet was totally devoted to amusement and entertainment! It was the fun capitol of the universe! Who could have done this to the good people of this planet?"
"Bad people come here and make big mess?" Gao inquired in his utter, endless innocence. "So sad. That not good. Not good at all."
An explosion in the distance got their attention, and they saw the huge cloud of smoke and debris looming in the horizon. Chen was horrified by what he saw and sensed. Gao was shocked by the sight, but he wasn't frightened.
"No!" Chen screamed in horror as he beheld the cloud rising higher and higher into the sky. "Such power! What could be behind such a horrible power? They're so strong and so evil!"
"Bad people over there, huh?" Gao asked, a grim expression of anger replacing his normally lighthearted smile. "Gao go tell them to go away!"
"No! Gao don't do it!" Chen screamed in vain as Gao flew off towards the point of origin of the explosion. "Oh, no! This could get very bad!"
Chen followed the serious genie as he flew off in search of the perpetrators of the heinous acts done against the planet. After flying for some distance, the duo came across a band of Saiyan warriors standing in the midst of a terrible stretch of destruction and carnage. Every single Saiyan had a tail, and each of them was wearing Saiyan armor and a scouter. Their armor consisted of chest protectors, shoulderpads, and typical armored boots.
"No!" Chen muttered in disbelief and horror as he beheld the six Saiyans in the midst of the devastation. "Saiyans? How could this be? Planet Vegeta was destroyed long ago! How did these Saiyans survive the destruction of the Saiyan homeworld?"
"Saiyans?" Gao inquired as he and Chen landed a short distance from the Saiyans, getting their attention. "What that mean?"
"It means that you two fools are as good as dead!" one of the Saiyans shouted at the duo as they checked their scouters for the power readings of both Gao and Chen. "Ah! It looks like the little one is equal to us in power! I'm not getting any readings at all from the big one! Let's see, who wants to tear the strong one apart?"
"I will!" snarled one of the Saiyans as he stepped forward to meet the Kai in battle, and the others chuckled at the frightened look on Chen's face.
"What is this?" Chen thought to himself as he pondered their statements. "Can it be that Gao's power cannot be registered with their scouter technology? Can't they sense his strength, his power? Gao is peaceful by nature, and he won't start a fight with anyone because he just wants to play and have fun, but he has more power and strength than they can imagine! If they push him to fight, they'll see a power like none other in the universe! He's a natural talent when it comes to fighting, but he has the heart and attitude of a young child! His power is potentially unlimited, given time!"
"Hey, stringbean!" the Saiyan fighter waiting to fight Chen called out to the Kai while he was lost in his thoughts. "Hey, are we gonna fight, or what? You and me, right now! Let's go!"
"Alright, you fiend!" Chen shouted back as he suddenly looked grimly serious and assumed a fighting stance. "Just the two of us! You'll pay for what you did to these innocent people and their world! You had no right! Now, you're going to regret this encounter!"
"Enough talk, you scrawny geek!" the Saiyan snarled in response as he assumed a fighting stance as well. "Let's do this!"
The Saiyan began raising his energy for battle with a drawn-out scream! Immediately, he began to glow! Seconds later, the sky darkened slightly over the battle field as the wind began to howl and the ground began to tremble slightly! Wind began blowing out from the Saiyan as he began powering up! Moments later, the ground began shaking more strongly, and small stones began rising from the ground! Moments later, the Saiyan rocketed from the spot where he stood towards Chen!
