Daniel and Jonathan Brooks, Chris Sloan and Adrianne Nelson drove into Austin on Wednesday the 22nd. The five of us went to the Counting Crows concert that was held at The Backyard, a neat little venue here in Austin. The concert was fantastic and ended around 10:30, so we decided to hit up 6th street downtown.
We first ate dinner at a sports bar type place, then walked a block or two to for $2 LIT's, that Chris said were weak. After hitting up another bar or two we ended up the Library which was playing 80's music and pretty good drink specials. Somehow we ended up with a great table near the front of the bar and witnessed three throw downs involving drunks and the bouncer. Ady got a little crazy and danced with all the guys singing "pour some sugar on me", I ran into some old friends that I hadn't seen in 3-4 years, Jonathan drank strong drinks and kissed on Ady, Daniel, wearing his porn star glasses was "the guy" and gauked at every chick that walked by, Chris "THE GUY" had a blast meeting people and making friends with strangers who we were supposed to party with again.
Back at the house we took so many pictures of us being silly. Adrianne opened a new bag of tortilla chips and polished them all off. She couldn't believe how good they were, so she made nachos at 2:30 in the morning. Jonathan played online, Chris fell alseep and Daniel wrote all over him with a sharpie. lol
Thursday morning, we all went for lunch at Chuys and then we said our goodbuys so that they could get back to Abilene. As soon as I walked in the door, Ady called from her cell phone and said, "Pack your bags, we're road tripping it to San Antonio for the night." They decided to stay another night, and turned around back for my place. |
