Most people have at least one thing that they are afraid of.  I, like you, also have some things that I can list as a phobia.  Webster describes a Phoba as an exaggerated usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects, or situation.  I have a fear or feel anxious about the following things.  Although my fears are very real to me, none of them altar my lifestyle or come in the way of me living normally.  When a Phobia does change the way you live then I think there might be a deeper problem.  Each listing has its own story or explanation to go with it.  Enjoy laughing at what I'm afraid of.  :-)

-  Fish:  Because of this weird fear, I have a hard time swimming in lakes or the ocean and almost missed out when my family went to Hawaii.  I have a really funny story about snorkling that I will try to add to Rant soon.  I don't eat Seafood either, it grosses me out.

-  Hights:  I get this from my dad who is also afraid of tall ladders, balconies, cliffs and any edges that I can invision falling off of.  I have really worked to overcome this fear by climbing Diamond Head, the Statue of Liberty and tall ladders.  Ask me sometime about those two adventurous climbs, I'd love to rant about each.

-  Loud Noises:  This fear was mainly when I was younger, but I still don't like really loud sounds like a Trans Am starting its engine.  When I was little I wouldn't even flush the toilet because it scared me.  My mom got me out of that before I left for college thank goodness.  J/K

-  Blood:  Its such a vital part of life, yet I freak out when I see it.  When I get a paper cut on my finger, I'm the girl who thinks we need to amputate.  This is why gory movies with blood and guts turns my stomach.  Likewise, I don't like needles.  When I was... too old, I threw a fit in the doctors office by crying like a baby when I found out I needed a shot.  A couple years later, I took the doctors shot like a champ, but then fainted on my way out the door.  Since then I have been able to tolerate them, and not freak out even though I dread the pointy needle.

-  Germs:  This didn't start until I went off to college and lived in a freshmen girls dorm and had to share the bathroom with 20 other girls.  I became really aware of germs and bacteria, and worried about people who didn't shower with flip flops on.  Thats just grose, I hope none of you guys ever do that!  Its always a good idea to keep a bottle of anti-bacterial gel in your purse... you never know when it could come in handy.

I think that is enough for now... I'll add more as they develope.  lol
