A Tribute in Honor of:
September 11, 2001
I still remember September 11, 2001 like it was yesterday.  I was in Philosophy class when my professor popped into class about 15 minutes late.  He was pale and nervous.  He immediately asked us if we had heard the news in New York.  We told him we didn't, we were sitting here waiting for him.  Then he began to reveal what was happening in New York and Washington, DC.  We all sat there in shock as he revealed more deatils.  Then he said his daughter works near the Trade Center Towers.  We were speechless.  How could something like this happen in our own backyard?
"Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundations of America."  -President George W. Bush
I would like to pay tribute to all families and friends who lost special people in these horrible attacks.  I would also like to thank all the firefighters, police, and emergency workers that put their lives on the line to help rescue other lives. I would also like to thank all the men and women in the armed forces over in Afganistan fighting for us.  I am proud they are fighting for us.  I wish them a safe return.  We are all proud of them!!!
