| Chapter 3 Tomorrow would be the day they would be in Salt Lake City, in the Athlete's Village. They were so excited at practice that they couldn't concentrate. Finally, after about three hours of practice, Coach Shultz called it a day and sent them home. Karen, Lindsey, Kylee, and Crystal all shared a house that was about twenty miles from the dance studio in the heart of Beverly Hills. Their house was perfect for the four of them. It had four bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a large kitchen (because they all loved to cook), a living room with a built in entertainment center, an office where they put a computer and all their awards in, and a pool with a small poolhouse. Of course they had a mini dance studio in their house so they could practice when they weren't in the real dance studio. "What should I wear when the athletes come?" Karen said looking through her closet as she packed her dancing uniform and regular clothes. "Does it matter?" Kylee said packing her clothes in her suitcases. "Geez, girls. You guys planning on bringing the living room, too," Lindsey said looking at all the suitcases in the living room. "Hey, I wouldn't talk," Crystal said. "You are brigning a whole bunch of stuff, too." "Yea, I know," Lindsey said. "Just trying to give you all a hard time." "Over half of this stuff is dancing uniforms and accessories," Kylee said zipping up a dufflebag full of accessories. "I just can't wait until the athletes arrive," Lindsey said. Lindsey was the one in the group who always hooked up with a guy everywhere they went. She's never had a relationship last longer than a month. Though she wasn't exactly a slut because she never slept around, she was more of a tease. "So who you gonna hook up with this time?" Karen asked folding some sweaters and putting them into a dark green suitcase. "I don't know," Lindsey said trying to think of some cute athletes as she continued packing. "There are some really cute athletes at this year's Olympics." "Like who?" Crystal said more interested in the conversation. "Like that figure skater, Timothy Geobel, or that speedskater, Apolo Anton Ohno," Lindsey said excitedly. "Isn't Apolo Anton Ohno that one speedskater who almost didn't make it to the Olympics because somebody accused him of cheating?" Karen asked as she ate some pretzels. "I think so," Lindsey said. "But I don't think he did it. I think the other guy is just being a sore loser." "I'm just looking forward to preforming," Kylee said as filled yet another suitcase. "Imagine over 100,000 people in the stands and over a million watching at home. I'm already getting nervous." "Me, too," Lindsey said her voice shaking. "So am I," Karen said her hands trambling. "I kind of am, too," Crystal said as they all sat down on the couch in silence, finally realizing how many people they were going to be preforming in front of. Practically the whole world would be watching them. They had never preformed in front of such a large crowd before. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Should they just back out? Should they go ahead with the plan? They were so nervous they didn't know what to think. "You know what?" Karen said finally breaking the silence. "It doesn't matter what happens at the Olympics just as long as we have fun, right?" "Right," they all agreed. "And as long as we meet some hot guys," Lindsey said as everyone laughed, although the laughter didn't take away the butterflies in their stomachs.
