NARRATOR: (GAME ON!)

NARRATOR: *you two go off to the inn*

NARRATOR: *it is a typical setup, seems like someone went threw this countryside making the same thing all around*

CIMORENE: *she keeps her head covered and her cloak around her body, showing nothing off to anyone except her face*

NARRATOR: *Igiwi leads you to the quiet bar in the quiet room*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:It is my treat.  What will you have?

CIMORENE: *she smiles at him brightly from beneath her cloak and says softly*  Eggs, bacon, bread, some fruit, and ale

NARRATOR: Igiwi:A tall order for a tall lady.  But I will do it.  *speaks to barkeep in gibberish*  You did, afterall, risk your life on my whim.

CIMORENE: *she blinks at him, then decides not to comment, having gotten a free breakfast out of the deal.  She merely smiles to herself and waits*

NARRATOR: *food comes and looks...... good enough*

NARRATOR: *Igiwi greedily digs in*

CIMORENE: *doesn't care what it looks like, she's simply ravenous.  She digs in as well, then asks*  Can you teach me this language?  I have quite a knack for languages...

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*between bites*I can try.  If you really do have a knack for it then it should be little trouble.

CIMORENE: *she smiles around a bite of bread with bacon on it and nods, glancing around the room as she chews*

NARRATOR: (observe?)

CIMORENE: (*shrugs*  Sure)

CIMORENE: (16)

NARRATOR: *you notice a man eating his breakfast alone at a table with a huge black diamond on his hand*

CIMORENE: *she chokes on her food, so surprised is she that this man is there.  She coughs violently, and downs some ale quickly*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*concerned*What is the matter?

CIMORENE: *she hacks into her napkin and shakes her head at him, offering a weak smile*  I.... I'm all right now

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*not reassured*If you say so...

ans closer to Igiwi and whispers*  I have to talk to you... outside.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*finishing his meal now*Now?

CIMORENE: *she downs the rest of her bread and bacon quickly, then nods, keeping one eye on the man in the corner*  yes.... right now

NARRATOR: *the man is just eating*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*reluctantly*Fine then.  *gets up and says a few words of gibberish to the barkeep and he laughs.  Igiwi follows you*

CIMORENE: What did you say to him?  *as she hurries out the door and around the corner*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Am I no longer aloud to tell a joke?

CIMORENE: *she blinks*  What?  No, Igiwi, I was just curious, that's all.   I am not your master, nor anyone else's.  But this is important.  What do you know of the Black Diamond group?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Correct, you are not my master.  Black Diamonds?  I know they are a group of mischeif makers from up north.  Actually I and a few friends tried to follow them to wherever they come from but the mountain pass was quite well guarded, we had to turn back.

CIMORENE: That man in the corner was from the Black Diamonds.  he might know where Melen.... I mean, a friend of mine is.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*looking very knowing at your slip up*Was he now?  We cannot just take him captive if we've seen him do nothing wrong.  What do you purpose?

CIMORENE: Maybe if we just talk to him?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*the idea suddenly dawning on him*Perhaps we can.  Maybe he knows this language as well.  As a translator I can say most do not want a 3 person conversation.

CIMORENE: *she nods*  Or he knows one of my various languages.  I just want to know if a certain person is alive and well.  I don't want to follow them, or ask about their habits, or anything.  I just want to know about this person.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*uncertain*We will have to see what he wants to say.

CIMORENE: *she nods*n  His name may not even be known in this region.... but he's fairly famous.  Would you come with me to ask him?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Why not.

NARRATOR: *he seems ready to follow you*

CIMORENE: *she heads back into the inn, looking for the man*

NARRATOR: *Igiwi follows*

CIMORENE: (IS the man there still?)

NARRATOR: (sorry)

NARRATOR: *the man IS still there finishing breakfast comofortably*

CIMORENE: *she pulls her hood back so that only her face is visible and approaches the man with a kind smile.  Speaking in elven*  Good morning, friend

NARRATOR: Man:*in elvish*Good morning.

CIMORENE: May we join you?  I have a few questions for you.

NARRATOR: *Igiwi sits down at a nearby table*

CIMORENE: (wait)

NARRATOR: *Igiwi gets right back up*

CIMORENE: (He's not with me?)

NARRATOR: (he's right by you, but doesn't feel like standing, the tables are very close together)

CIMORENE: (oooohhhhh..... have him stay with me, then, unless the man gets uncomphy ic)

NARRATOR: (he'll do what igiwi wants to)

CIMORENE: (lol.  got it)

NARRATOR: Man:Is something the matter?

CIMORENE: *she shakes her head with the same pleasant smile*  Not at all.  I was just hoping that you knew a friend of mine.

NARRATOR: Man:I doubt it but ask if you like.*his expression is hard to read*

CIMORENE: May we sit down?

NARRATOR: Man:Sure.

NARRATOR: *Igiwi sits with you guys*

CIMORENE: *sits, not next to him, but near enough so that if she drops her voice she can still be heard*  I couldn't help but notice the Black Diamond symbol on your hand

NARRATOR: Man:*suddenly self concious*Did you?*he puts the hand under the table*.

CIMORENE: *she waves a hand non-chalantly*  no no no... don't worry about it.  It's not like it was hard to notice, anyway.

NARRATOR: Man:I suppose.*still suspicious*What friend did you think I knew?

CIMORENE: He's an elf, in your order.

CIMORENE: (Her ears are NOT visible, fyi)

NARRATOR: Man:*smiles*There are a few elves in co-operation with us.  You will have to be more specific.

CIMORENE: He's a magic user

NARRATOR: Man:Oh?

NARRATOR: man:most elves are by my reckoning.

CIMORENE: He hails from the Grey Havens

NARRATOR: *the man looks as if you just spoke gibberish to him*

CIMORENE: *she blinks*  From the West?

NARRATOR: Man:From the west eh?  Well there are few that come from there and the ones from here, I don't really reckon I know where they are from either.

CIMORENE: *she sighs*  If I told you his name, would you swear to tell me the truth of whether or not you know him?

NARRATOR: Man:Truthfully?

CIMORENE: *nods*

NARRATOR: Man:oarnggnoi

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*irritated*He said "no".

CIMORENE: *she blinks*  All that was "no"?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Just leave it as "no" Cimorene.

CIMORENE: *she nods, biting her tongue wisely*  Then we have nothing more to discuss.  I mean your group no harm, and I bid you good morning.  *she stands, nodding to the man*

NARRATOR: Man:Sorry I couldn't be of more help*he eyes you two very closely*

CIMORENE: *she glares at him huffily*  It's just as well.  At least I don't have to waste my time on you now.  Ready, friend?  *she glances at Igiwi*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*biting his tounge*I am ready.*casts a wary glance at the diamond*

CIMORENE: *she takes Igiwi's arm*  Then let's retire back to the room, eh?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*with you again*Yes, I will follow you.

NARRATOR: (you two go back to the shop?)

CIMORENE: (sure)

NARRATOR: *you two go back to the shop*

NARRATOR: *the man in black seems to be busy with a patient*

CIMORENE: *she is silent as they walk, once again cursing her bad luck*  Maybe we should press on, Igiwi... *her voiec is sad*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:What is the matter?*easily seeing how you feel*

CIMORENE: I suppose I just miss my friend, and I was so anxious about finding out information about him that I set myself up to be let down.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:So you are in these lands to save your friend?

CIMORENE: No.... I am on a mission from my Elders.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Well lets hope that you find him along the way, right?

CIMORENE: *she smiles at Igiwi and kisses his cheek*  Thanks, Igiwi... you're a good friend.

CIMORENE: Now... how far are we from your village?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*puzzled*Maybe a few weeks from here.

CIMORENE: Can we get going today, or would that be too fast?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:We could.  Are you healed enough?  *concerned*I've seen few people as beaten as you, yet you survived.

CIMORENE: *she smiles*  Ever heard of the spiders of Mirkwood?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:I've never heard of mirkwood.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Few times, have I ever journeyed past the Rhun sea, to be honest.

CIMORENE: *she grins again*  Imagine spiders the size of bears.... *goes on to tell the tale of the Mirkwood Spider Battle*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*laughs*I fear you may be dead before you reach my village at the rate of your heroism!

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*sort of serious again*If you'd like to set out today we can.  We just have to be more careful about what we get involved in perhaps, though I may not be able to stop myself...

CIMORENE: *she chuckles behind her hand*  I say we ride as hard as we can and avoid any confrontation we can

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Then why not ride on?

CIMORENE: After we say goodbye to the doctor

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Once he is done doing...*looks at the closed door*whatever he is doing.

CIMORENE: *she nods*  Meanwhile, can you teach me how to say "Thank you for your hospitality" in your language?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:I can try*smiles*.

NARRATOR: (wisdom)

CIMORENE: (boxcars)

CIMORENE: (so.... 15)

NARRATOR: (jeese...)

NARRATOR: *the sentence comes to you naturally it seems*

CIMORENE: *she moves to pack up all her belongings*

NARRATOR: *eventually the man comes out*

NARRATOR: *his patient leaves too*

CIMORENE: *she smiles brightly at the doctor, waving to him as she finishes tying up her bundle*

NARRATOR: *he seems in a pleasant enough mood*

CIMORENE: *she glanes at Igiwi*  Igiwi?  Can you help me translate?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Certainly*he is ready*

CIMORENE: We are leaving now

NARRATOR: *translated*

NARRATOR: *translates the mans response*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:he says he hopes you feel better and wishes you luck

CIMORENE: *she smiles and remoevs her hood, revealing her face and hair*  Thank you for your hospitality.  *in his language*

NARRATOR: *the man seems pleasantly surprised*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*smiles*He thanks you again and commends you on your use of our dialect.

CIMORENE: *she blushes both on the comment and the fact that he didn't call her a purple freak*

NARRATOR: *the man smiles*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Was there anything else?

CIMORENE: *she nods*  Can we have some medicine for the road?

NARRATOR: *translated*

NARRATOR: *translates answer*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:He says we can.

NARRATOR: *the man gives you a pack of stuff*

CIMORENE: *she grins and bows deeply to the man*  Thank you so much.

NARRATOR: *returns the bow*

NARRATOR: *igiwi bows*

NARRATOR: *igiwi seems ready to go*

CIMORENE: *she smiles at the man one more time and hands him a glass bead the same color as her hair from a hair ornament before heading out to find Bard*

NARRATOR: (cute)

CIMORENE: (lol)

NARRATOR: *bard is fine, upon finding him*

CIMORENE: *she runs up to him and hugs his neck tightly, securing her hood over her head again and looking to Igiwi*  Ready?

NARRATOR: *he nods affirmatively to you*

NARRATOR: (ride off then?)

CIMORENE: *she mounts up quickly, tying her hood firmly on*  (yes)

NARRATOR: *you two ride for a week*

NARRATOR: *the land seems to reach a point of being completely barren and rocky and dirty and dark about 5 days threw

NARRATOR: the sun is so blotted out it seems to be night*

NARRATOR: *then slowly things get better*

CIMORENE: *she is nervous about this place, not liking the deadened feel*

NARRATOR: *the land starts to have grass again and trees and shrubs*

NARRATOR: *there are even some wild animals about*

NARRATOR: *igiwi feeds you two as is needed using his skills as a hunter*

NARRATOR: *the sun can almost shine threw the clouds now*

NARRATOR: *you've passed a river on the way showing that there is more than ghastly surroundings here*

CIMORENE: *she actually enjoys the travels, chattering on about her brother and her earlier life, and her friends to Igiwi*

NARRATOR: *he is eager to hear about this mysterious west*

NARRATOR: *you two find yourselves by some fairly healthy looking shrubs off the side of a very beaten road*

CIMORENE: Want to rest for a bit?

NARRATOR: *the sun is setting*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:I would, actually.

CIMORENE: *she smiles and slides off Bard, grabbing some firewood off his back to make a small fire*

NARRATOR: *igiwi seems impressed with your skill*

CIMORENE: *she glowers at him playfully*  I'm not some princess, you know... I can make a fire

NARRATOR: Igiwi:I apologize.  I hardly see elves that is all.

NARRATOR: Igiwi:It won't be long now, Cimorene.  You see the earth now?  *Points to the green plants*

CIMORENE: *she smiles*  Yes.... what about it?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Things thrive more the closer we are to Galtaire.*he smiles*Life is better there.

CIMORENE: *she chuckles*  You just made a rhyme

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*tries very very hard to surpress his smile*I suppose I did.

NARRATOR: (observe)

CIMORENE: *she giggles*  You're so serious all the time!  Smile!  It's a lovely evening to be alive!

CIMORENE: (15)

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Not for us all*his face sours some*.  But thanks just the same

NARRATOR: *you think you hear some rustling in the shrubs*

CIMORENE: *her smile fades suddenly and she hisses a little, nodding at the bush*  Igiwi... *she fingers her daggers*

NARRATOR: *igiwi immediately draws his big feaggin' sword with both hands and slowly steps towards the direction you point*

CIMORENE: (*falls over laughing*)

NARRATOR: (eh?)

CIMORENE: (Big feaggin sword)

NARRATOR: (it's the biggest sword you've ever seen!)

NARRATOR: (he doesn't quite seem able to use it, somehow he does)

CIMORENE: (got it)

NARRATOR: (and skillfully too)

CIMORENE: (Back in character)

NARRATOR: *so igiwi advances*

NARRATOR: (and you?...)

CIMORENE: *she stands, grabbing her bow and pointing it at the bush as she moves in a wheel motion around Igiwi*

NARRATOR: (give me a wisdom roll)

CIMORENE: (14)

NARRATOR: *a form comes out swinging but immediately you know it is not foe*

NARRATOR: *two scimitars drawn and swinging madly at the huge blade of igiwis with little organization or style*

NARRATOR: *igiwi easily fends this off*

CIMORENE: *she blinks a few times, then calls out*  Igiwi, don't hurt it!!  Creature, stop!

NARRATOR: *igiwi almost laughs at this pitiful effort*

NARRATOR: *the form looks to be another elf by your reckoning and it does like you say*

CIMORENE: *she hurries forward and flings her hood off, speaking in high elven*  Peace, friends!  Peace!

NARRATOR: Melendar:Am I a creature?

NARRATOR: *he sounds as puzzled as he looks dimly lit in the fire*

CIMORENE: *faints*

NARRATOR: *you don't dream*

NARRATOR: *you wake up*

NARRATOR: *Igiwi is standing over you*

CIMORENE: (8is trying not to laugh too hard and wake up her family*)

NARRATOR: (oh?  why are ya laughing?)

CIMORENE: *she groans and sits up, holding her head*  Igiwi?  I had the strangest dream...

CIMORENE: (It's just freaking hilarious)

NARRATOR: Igiwi:What did you dream this time Cimorene?

NARRATOR: *it is still night*

CIMORENE: I dreamed that my friend was here.... he was in a bush....

CIMORENE: *she chuckles*  Strange, eh?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*nervous laughter*Strange indeed...

NARRATOR: Igiwi:Say hello to your friend...*points to melendar*

NARRATOR: *Melendar is standing by the fire looking at it in awe*

CIMORENE: *follows his finger and her face goes white*  M-Melendar?

NARRATOR: *his face is not quite the same*

CIMORENE: *she stares at him*  No.... wait.... you're not Melendar.... are you?

NARRATOR: *you can see lines of trouble and sorrow lifted from him*

NARRATOR: *he seems uncertain, though*

NARRATOR: Melendar:Me?*points to himself*

CIMORENE: Yes.... you..... do you know me?

NARRATOR: Melendar:I think so*straining to think*

NARRATOR: Melendar:You're the first person who seems framiliar to me, actually.

CIMORENE: *she sits up a little more, shaking back her hood*  What happened, Melendar?  What happened to your memory?

NARRATOR: Melendar:*in a blink, almost in tears*I don't know!

NARRATOR: Melendar:All I DO know is i have to run.  Go the other way.*sobs*

CIMORENE: Cimorene..... does that spark something?

NARRATOR: *Igiwi is clearly at a loss and just looks around for possible trouble*

CIMORENE: (*is still laughing*  he's sooooooo cute now!!!)

NARRATOR: Melendar:It might?

NARRATOR: (you like that? hehehe)

CIMORENE: Cimorene.... and Belegar.... and Gandalf....

NARRATOR: *Melendar hsi both hands rubbing his forehead in frustration now*

CIMORENE: *she crawls over to him and grips his hands, meeting his eyes firmly and making him look at her*  Cimorene...

NARRATOR: Melendar:That is you right?

CIMORENE: *she nods, smiling*

NARRATOR: Melendar:*with an ounce of confidence*It is nice to meet you Cimorene...again I suppose.*holds out a hand like a man would*

CIMORENE: *she stares at his hand a moment, then shakes it firmly, smiling*  I think we can be friends, Melendar.  Would you like that?

NARRATOR: Melendar:Yes I would actually, I don't really seem to have any*nervous laughter*

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*shakes melendars hand*I am Igiwi, I am also a friend.

CIMORENE: *she smiles over at Igiwi*  Igiwi.... this is Melendar, my friend I told you about.  Melendar, this is Igiwi, my good friend and guide.  We're going to his town.  Would you like to come with us?

NARRATOR: Melendar:Well if it isn't east of here I would.

NARRATOR: *igiwi looks to you with a sad look*

CIMORENE: *she glances at Igiwi*  Why not east?

NARRATOR: *igiwi shrugs*

NARRATOR: Melendar:*looking at you two*It is east isn't it?!  *growing unease*I cannot go back!

CIMORENE: Go back where?

NARRATOR: Melendar:I don't know! It was east of here, though!

CIMORENE: But why can't you go back?

NARRATOR: Melendar:Whenever I try to think about that I faint.  I don't think i liked whatever happened there....*face goes white, whiter than normal*

CIMORENE: *she grips his shoulders, shaking him slightly*  melendar!  Come out of it!

NARRATOR: Melendar:*brushes your hands off*Cimorene that is enough!

NARRATOR: *the outburst almost sounds like old melendar again...*

CIMORENE: *she smiles a little*  That sounds more like the melendar I know

NARRATOR: *almost...then it goes back*

CIMORENE: *a very wicked thought goes into her brain, but she pushes it back down*

NARRATOR: Melendar:No offense Cimorene but I think I must be a villain of some sort.

NARRATOR: *igiwi laughs*

NARRATOR: (wicked thought eh?)

CIMORENE: *she shakes her head with a sad smile*  No.... just a little mean sometimes, that's alll.

CIMORENE: (Indeed.  he seemed to come back when physically assaulted.  I can beat him up and bring him back!)

NARRATOR: Melendar:*stares at you for a long moment and smiles a little*I like you.

NARRATOR: (oh man...)

NARRATOR: (well, it's possible, but what a scene...)

CIMORENE: *she grins*  I've always liked you, except when you were mean.... Melendar, please come with us.  We're going to see a wise man in Igiwi's village.  he might know how to fix your memory.

CIMORENE: (And I'm sure to get a heart... a brain... a home.... the nerve...)

NARRATOR: *melendar gets very fidgety*

NARRATOR: (on wow...)

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*to melendar*It will be alright, you have my word of honor.  You will arrive there safely.

NARRATOR: *igiwi makes a gondorian salute*

CIMORENE: *she grips his hand again*  Melendar.... We'll protect you.  Me and Igiwi, we can protect you from whatever you're running from.

CIMORENE: *she stares at Igiwi a moment at the salute, then resolves to ask about this later*

NARRATOR: Melendar:*to himself*Perhaps they can...*to you*Alright Cimorene i'll trust you on this.

NARRATOR: Melendar:but if i see a double-cross...*lets it go unfinished, even he doesn't even know how he could threaten you*

CIMORENE: *she raises an eyebrow at him, but says nothing.  She moves to the other side of the fire now, away from Melendar, and begins to get out a blanket*  I'm going to get some sleep.  Igiwi, can you watch for an hour?

NARRATOR: Igiwi:*confidently*Far more than that.

NARRATOR: *melendar goes back to looking into the fire*

CIMORENE: *she smiles at Igiwi brightly, then, with a final long look at Melendar, she goes to sleep, ready to beat some sense into the darkness in her dreams*

NARRATOR: (i'll dream roll)

NARRATOR: *you dream*

NARRATOR: *you're in the mountains now*

NARRATOR: *it is snowing and there is thunder and lightning*

NARRATOR: *you are on a lone flat peak towering above all others*

CIMORENE: *her anger is frightening right now* All right, Darkness, I'm through with these games!  Show yourself NOW!

NARRATOR: "you see what i want you to see!"

NARRATOR: "did you like my surprise?!"

CIMORENE: I do nothing for your pleasure, you sicko!  What did you do to Melendar!!??

NARRATOR: *horrible cackle*

NARRATOR: "you should ask him!!!"

NARRATOR: *horrible laugh/cackle*

CIMORENE: Tell me, you fiend!!!!!!!!!

NARRATOR: *a bolt of lightning hits you*

NARRATOR: *hit hits you so hard you are flung off the peak*

NARRATOR: *and are free falling down a sheer cliff*

NARRATOR: *with no apparent bottom*

NARRATOR: "you will deman nothing from me but respect!"

CIMORENE: *she screams as she falls, but knowing this is a dream, she continues to taunt the Darkness*  Afraid to come and face me for real, Fiend?  Have to attack me from behind the cover of blackness?

NARRATOR: "are you certain you want to speak to an overlord that way?"

CIMORENE: You are not MY overlord.  You are nothing but a coward!

CIMORENE: What did you do to Melendar?!

NARRATOR: "very well then..."

NARRATOR: *everything stops*

CIMORENE: (oh dear.....)

NARRATOR: *you are standing now on a red smooth floor*

NARRATOR: *there is a torch light behind you lighting the room*

NARRATOR: "you must remember I am the master here"

NARRATOR: *you see horrible things suddenly*

NARRATOR: *people you know and love, have loved*

NARRATOR: *being dismembered

NARRATOR: *slowly tortured*

CIMORENE: Master of my dreams?  Don't make me..... *she gasps, seeing the visions*

NARRATOR: *belegar included*

NARRATOR: "farewell fool..."

NARRATOR: *you awake*

CIMORENE: *she screams in horror into the night, thrashing around under her blanket*

NARRATOR: *both males are awake already but now very very alert to you*

NARRATOR: *they both aske what the matter is*

CIMORENE: (were Igiwi and Melendar in those being hurt?)

NARRATOR: *melendar almost looks scared*

NARRATOR: (melendar was)

NARRATOR: (the old version)

CIMORENE: (ah)

CIMORENE: (No Igiwi?)

NARRATOR: (nope)

NARRATOR: (he's not represented sorry)

CIMORENE: *she sits upright in one motion and breathes hard, trrying to drag air into her aching lungs.  She is covered in sweat, making her robes stick to her body.  Tears course down her cheeks as she buries her face in her hands, sobbing*

NARRATOR: *the two look at eachother not knowing what to do*

NARRATOR: *so they both put an arm around you and crouch down with you*

CIMORENE: *she puts a death grip around each man's waist

CIMORENE: 's and buries her face in Melendar's shirt, sobbing hard*

NARRATOR: *they accept it well enough.  melendar almost pulls away from you but doesn't, he accepts you into him*

CIMORENE: (That's a good thing..... it would destroy her right now)

NARRATOR: (;-) just playing the character)

CIMORENE: *Her tears eventually die down, but she falls into a kind of faint, exhausted*

NARRATOR: (like almost comatose?)

CIMORENE: (yap)

NARRATOR: *Melendar lets you rest in his arms all the while*

NARRATOR: *he seems to be speaking to Igiwi a little*

NARRATOR: *igiwi reassures him*

CIMORENE: *she drifts off, snuggling into Melendar's arms.  She briefly wonders why she should feel safe, but she does as she passes out fully*

NARRATOR: (END)
