NARRATOR: *seems to struggle to remain concious, the other hit takes him out*
NARRATOR: *when you hit him bluntly with the staff*
NARRATOR: *he's unconcious on the ground*
NARRATOR: Pallando:*breathing heavily*Bind him
CIMORENE: *grabs sheets and blankets, binding his arms and legs tightly*
NARRATOR: (nimblness check)
CIMORENE: (4)
NARRATOR: (just made it)
NARRATOR: *he's bound*
CIMORENE: *She sits down on one of the beds, resting her leg and breathing hard* By the spirits of the Valar.... this place never ends....
NARRATOR: *the bed feels VERY flimsy and it is small too. Half the size of you, about. It seems like it could give refreshment, but not much*
NARRATOR: Pallando:I have seen far worse fortresses
CIMORENE: *she nods towards the unconscious thing* What should we do with that thing?
NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks at the orc with contempt*He is all but useless to us. If there is anything he can say we should learn it and be done with him. We can afford no survivors to tell tale of whom we are.
CIMORENE: I completely agree.... *she sits next to the thing and places her knife against its throat before shaking it hard*
NARRATOR: (*suddenly realizes he has to do something*)
NARRATOR: *the orc does not stir*
CIMORENE: (lol)
CIMORENE: *shakes it harder, kicking it in the leg as well*
NARRATOR: Pallando:*briefly laughs*You seem to have given him quite the flogging
CIMORENE: *she sighs and stabs it in the heart* We don't have time for this...
NARRATOR: Pallando:*nods*Agreed
NARRATOR: *to remind you, you are in a circular room with beds and orc corpses. there is the exit behind you that leads to the hall you came from. the other is in front of you two and goes where you have yet to be*
CIMORENE: *she stays sitting for a moment, breathing a little heavily* Pallando.... do you need healed?
NARRATOR: Pallando:I could use some and you need some as well
CIMORENE: *she nods and reaches for his hand* indeed....
NARRATOR: Pallando:Unfortuantely those wounds you carry can be treated no more today
CIMORENE: *she nods again, still reaching for his hand* Let me try and reach melendar again.... then we move
NARRATOR: (you'd already been healed max by Wulf and Pallando)
NARRATOR: (did you heal the wizard?)
CIMORENE: (gotcha)
CIMORENE: (I th9ought I healed him already too)
NARRATOR: (did you do it once only, though? or twice?)
CIMORENE: (*thinks* Once)
NARRATOR: (you can once more for the day)
CIMORENE: (Healing then)
CIMORENE: (cast with a 15)
NARRATOR: (what's the TN?)
CIMORENE: (10)
NARRATOR: (ya cast)
NARRATOR: (you know how it is, multi spell penalties)
CIMORENE: (all righty then)
CIMORENE: (and she's also gonna try Far Speaking)
CIMORENE: (which she fails abysmally)
NARRATOR: (laura, roll the heal check)
NARRATOR: (first heal check)
CIMORENE: (lol)
CIMORENE: (sorry)
NARRATOR: (got your games crossed)
CIMORENE: (23)
CIMORENE: (indeed)
NARRATOR: *pallando seems to noticably perk up more so*
NARRATOR: (and you failed your farspeaking)
CIMORENE: *she opens her eyes slowly* I think I'm too tired to cast reach him..... Pallando, can you try?
CIMORENE: (yes)
NARRATOR: Pallando:What do I speak to? I have to have seen it you know
CIMORENE: *she thinks for a few moments* You've never met him before.... and it will not work if I simply describe it....
NARRATOR: Pallando:*sighs*I have met him before. What did he have last that you knew of?
CIMORENE: The ring.... the ring he always wears on his right hand
NARRATOR: Pallando:I have never seen a ring on his hand...
CIMORENE: (ANd please don't use my terrible memory against her, lol. I thought he always had that ring on.....)
NARRATOR: (it's always on but you found it is not always visible to all)
CIMORENE: (ooooohhhhhh.....)
CIMORENE: (hold on.... *checks trans*)
NARRATOR: Pallando:*pulls out an ornate wine bottle*I think a drink of this will help you. Try it and try again, Cimorene. *he points the mouth of the bottle at you*
NARRATOR: *the bottle is half full*
CIMORENE: *she drinks, looking puzzled*
NARRATOR: Pallando:*smiles*You do not know the craft of your kin do you? It is Miruvor and it will bring you some vigor again
NARRATOR: *+4 stamina to resist weariness for 1 hour*
CIMORENE: (lol... I know. I just read where we got that)
NARRATOR: (oh the ring you mean?)
CIMORENE: *she closes her eyes and tries again*
CIMORENE: (no, the Minuver)
NARRATOR: (oh cool. glad you rembered)
CIMORENE: (Wow.... A neg 8 and I STILL managed to get a 10 with that. Passed. Needed a nine)
NARRATOR: (wait you failed your weariness? you lose a weariness level rembmer)
NARRATOR: (from last time)
CIMORENE: (Damn..... curses of rolling a three)
NARRATOR: (courage point?)
CIMORENE: (Ok, that gives me a nine)
CIMORENE: (No, I still passed)
CIMORENE: (I was still at perfect weariness)
NARRATOR: (oh)
CIMORENE: (Go ahead?)
NARRATOR: (barely, cool)
NARRATOR: (go on)
CIMORENE: *she whispers, ever so softly, focusing her mind on Melendar's ring* <Melendar...? Can you hear me?>
NARRATOR: Melendar:Yes, but I doubt for much longer. *coughs* I am in a cell again after my latest torture *laughs some*
CIMORENE: <Take heart, love.... we're here, and we're coming for you. We're going to get you out of there. Now, did you see any of your surroundings while you were being moved?>
NARRATOR: Melendar:*thinks a moment*No I remember nothing after I fell and when I woke in the cell
CIMORENE: *she curses softly* <My love, we are running blind, and we've already lost Wulf.... Can you see anything? Does it seem very very cold?>
NARRATOR: Melendar:*wrly*He is more clever than you may think... Cold, love? Mortals may think it that, yes. There is a troll patrolling outside and a cell on either side of me. *straining*There seems to be a hall that leads to a T junction that goes left or right but I can see nothing further
CIMORENE: <Have you seen the thing that took you below?>
NARRATOR: Melendar:However when I was moved I was more awake the they suspected *laughs/coughs* They took me to the right path which cornered left to another simlar hall and we went right. This path took me too the chamber of the demon
NARRATOR: Melendar:A troll took me to him. The demon of cold thinks to break my spirit but I have been tried by more horrible evils then he can devise *supreme confidence*
NARRATOR: Melendar:Though he could still be done with me and slay me at any moment*sighs*
CIMORENE: <Does it call for you often?>
CIMORENE: <I WILL NOT LET IT SLAY YOU>
CIMORENE: (brb... go ahead and post)
NARRATOR: Melendar:I trust you will not, my love. It calls seldom but harms me terribly. It questions me on craft; what I have made how I can show him to make things. You see he is something of a craftsmen himself, not exactly a laymen either. I am threatened now with the loss of an eye if I do not comply and soon. You must be swift.
NARRATOR: *pallando sits around nervously while your secret conversation goes on*
CIMORENE: <Try complying a little.... just enough for you not to be hurt. Now, my love, we must run, and run fast. We will try and reach you soon.... hold on for me>
NARRATOR: Melendar:I will do what I can to see you again.
NARRATOR: Melendar:Valar protect you
CIMORENE: <And you as well, my love>
CIMORENE: *she breaks the contact gently and looks at Pallando* There is a chance that we do not have to face the demon
NARRATOR: Pallando:*brightens up*That is well. Any indication where to go from here?
NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks around quickly*We must not linger much longer. Wulf could not have held them much longer than this
CIMORENE: We need to head down towards the lair of the beast, and look for a t-juntion. We can avoid it completely, but he's guarded well.... we have to be careful. And yes, we should go.
CIMORENE: *stands, leaning on her staff, and heads through the room to the exit they have not used*
NARRATOR: Pallando:But where from here?
NARRATOR: (k)
NARRATOR: *he follows with no question*
CIMORENE: *she gestures* Keep on going down, just keep heading towards the cold.... *she smiles at him* you'll have to handle that for us
NARRATOR: Pallando:Alone?
CIMORENE: Can you feel cold and heat?
NARRATOR: Pallando:I can feel them but I heed them as little as your kin
CIMORENE: I can't feel them. (Right?)
NARRATOR: (*busts out book*)
CIMORENE: (*echoes the movement*)
NARRATOR: (only says you feel no discomfort)
NARRATOR: (you can feel the cold but not get frost bite, not even be slowed by it at all)
CIMORENE: (Oh.... all right then)
CIMORENE: *she shakes her head* Of course not alone.... I can feel them, but I was hoping that you would feel them better
NARRATOR: (he probably could in that sense)
NARRATOR: (i don't wanna go into it)
CIMORENE: (all right)
NARRATOR: Pallando:I will go first then*nods and walks off*
CIMORENE: *she moves on down the corridor, following him*
NARRATOR: *it goes straight for a couple minutes till it leads to stairs that go down*
NARRATOR: *you both go down and find a new junction*
CIMORENE: (What does the juntion look like?)
NARRATOR: *it is a large version of halls you've seen. you can go left or right. you can go straight to another path that has stairs that go down*
CIMORENE: *she closes her eyes a moment, holding out her arm*
CIMORENE: (which way feels coldest?)
NARRATOR: Pallando:Left
NARRATOR: Pallando:Are you sure we are to go threw its very lair?
CIMORENE: *she blinks at him* but which is second coldest?
NARRATOR: Pallando:The stairway is the "second coldest"
CIMORENE: *she nods* Then we go down. Try and go around the cold, but stay near it. He is not far from it's lair
NARRATOR: Pallando:*nods uncertainly*Very well*heads to the stairs*
NARRATOR: (observe)
CIMORENE: *follows*
CIMORENE: (13)
NARRATOR: (the neg weariness is cumulative remember)
CIMORENE: (pardon?)
CIMORENE: (with the neg 1 that I have? I know)
NARRATOR: (k)
CIMORENE: (I rolled a 17)
NARRATOR: *you hear, at the bottom of the stairs, a few orc voices*
CIMORENE: *she glances down each hallway before looking harder at the stairs, trying to see if any of them resemble what Meledar described to her*
NARRATOR: *they do not*
CIMORENE: *she whispers as silently as she can* Can you sense how many of them there are?
NARRATOR: Pallando:*strains a moment*More or less 5
NARRATOR: *another observe*
NARRATOR: Pallando:I need a decision, Cimorene
CIMORENE: ((13 again)
CIMORENE: *she nods* I can do it if you can....
NARRATOR: *at that very moment you see the orcs coming down the hall from the right first*
NARRATOR: *initiative*
CIMORENE: (11)
CIMORENE: (shit)
NARRATOR: *pallando draws his sword again and charges the 3 orcs to tackle 1 to the ground and stab at him*
NARRATOR: *1 of the orcs charges you*
NARRATOR: *26 damage*
NARRATOR: (hell of a charge)
CIMORENE: (holy shit)
NARRATOR: *cimorene go*
NARRATOR: *strength check*
CIMORENE: (12)
CIMORENE: (Great.... I'm Wounded)
NARRATOR: *you barely manage to stand on your feet as he plows into you*
CIMORENE: (I seriously don't think they considered this when they made the hit points system in this agme)
NARRATOR: (charge is 1.5 damage)
NARRATOR: (but it's 2 actions)
NARRATOR: (i rolled boxcars for damage)
NARRATOR: (what can you do?)
CIMORENE: *she stabs at him with her short sword*
CIMORENE: (Trying for a called shot)
NARRATOR: (yikes, okay)
CIMORENE: (To something vital, like the groin)
CIMORENE: (What's the neg?)
CIMORENE: (Ten or five?)
NARRATOR: (i'd guess 8)
CIMORENE: (13 then)
NARRATOR: (okay now we add the 8 to his defence)
NARRATOR: (so you needed a 18)
CIMORENE: (Not happening)
NARRATOR: (nope)
NARRATOR: (1 action left)
CIMORENE: (one sec)
CIMORENE: (Voice of Command)
CIMORENE: (rolled a 19, with minuses it's a 13)
NARRATOR: (very well)
NARRATOR: (what will you do with it?)
CIMORENE: *she points at the orc attacking her* Do not move at all.
CIMORENE: (wait)
CIMORENE: (rephrase)
NARRATOR: (k last chance)
CIMORENE: Do not move a muscle
CIMORENE: (ok)
NARRATOR: *the orc stops dead in his tracks*
CIMORENE: (whew)
NARRATOR: *the last orc attacks pallando's back as he kills the orc he had straddled*
NARRATOR: *pallando begins attacking the other orc by him*
NARRATOR: *your turn, the orc is motionless in front of you*
CIMORENE: *she charges the orc that is attacking Pallado*
CIMORENE: (Wow... how does charge work?)
NARRATOR: (1.5 times damage. 2 actions. strength check of your strength +2 for the chargee to stay upright) CIMORENE: (sounds good)
NARRATOR: *run check*
CIMORENE: (6)
NARRATOR: *you manage to keep your feet*
NARRATOR: *barely*
NARRATOR: (that's with all negs?)
CIMORENE: (yes)
NARRATOR: (impressive)
CIMORENE: (and the negs hurt like hell)
NARRATOR: *make your attack*
CIMORENE: (21)
NARRATOR: *superior success*
NARRATOR: *+2 damage*
NARRATOR: (laura that's about an impossible roll with you isn't it?)
NARRATOR: (with the negs)
CIMORENE: (I'm only wounded, so it's only neg 6)
NARRATOR: (oh, huh, well then go on;-))
NARRATOR: (i was thinking it was more than it was)
CIMORENE: (damn.... what's the damage for the sword?)
CIMORENE: (*is checking*)
NARRATOR: (short sword?)
CIMORENE: (yeah)
NARRATOR: (checking updated web stuff)
CIMORENE: (very cool)
CIMORENE: (Sorry bout that)
NARRATOR: (laura add on 1 point of health. i did the wrong damage for the scimitar that hit you)
CIMORENE: (cool)
NARRATOR: (short sword deals 2d6+1)
CIMORENE: (oh freaking yeah..... BOXCARS)
CIMORENE: (16)
NARRATOR: *full damage and half more*
CIMORENE: (so 24?)
NARRATOR: (this includes strength damage and the +2 superior success damage*
CIMORENE: (oops.... 26. forgot the superior)
NARRATOR: (what is your strength?)
CIMORENE: (12)
NARRATOR: *the orc amazingly stays upright after he takes a crippling blow from your charge*
NARRATOR: *he his pushed back a full 2 feet on the thin ice, even*
NARRATOR: *pallando doesn't even get up to put an end to that orc*
NARRATOR: *though the orc frozen behind you stops being that way and runs at your back*
CIMORENE: (What?)
NARRATOR: (laura read the spell)
NARRATOR: (it does what you say for 1 hour per bearing)
NARRATOR: (or until completed)
CIMORENE: (Shit)
NARRATOR: (it definetl completed agree?)
CIMORENE: (So it was completed as soon as it was cast)
NARRATOR: (pretty much ya)
CIMORENE: (shit)
NARRATOR: *orc goes in*
CIMORENE: (that spell isn't nearly as good then)
NARRATOR: (no it is)
NARRATOR: (you could have said leave the mountain)
NARRATOR: (that would take hours and hours)
NARRATOR: (or thrown down your weapons)
CIMORENE: (...... *has a terrible idea*)
NARRATOR: (i will give important characters a will check BTW)
CIMORENE: (ok)
CIMORENE: (go ahead)
NARRATOR: *1 hit doing 9*
CIMORENE: (phew)
NARRATOR: *1 hit doing 11*
NARRATOR: *pallando rises to his feat to take on the beast and gets in his path of you*
CIMORENE: (damn..... five points out of incapacitated)
NARRATOR: (battle is tough)
CIMORENE: (battle sucks)
NARRATOR: *pallando dispatches the thing with no further trouble*
NARRATOR: Palland:*looks at you uncertainly*Are you alright?
CIMORENE: *she nods a little* I think so.... I'd love a rest, but there's no rest in this place
NARRATOR: *he is already moving the bodies to the stairway you came from*
NARRATOR: Pallando:Most likely not
CIMORENE: *she bends to help him, trying Sense Power as she does*
NARRATOR: Pallando:So still down the stairs?
CIMORENE: Can you honestly go through another battle right away, friend?
NARRATOR: Pallando:I can. Can you keep this up? We know not how much further or if we even need to go down there. We never even fully explored the upstairs.
CIMORENE: (10)
CIMORENE: *she speaks softly* From what I can tell, he is near enough to the thing to be dragged there quickly, and the thing is where the coldest area is.
NARRATOR: Pallando:Then that is down the path, straight on.
CIMORENE: *she nods* Yes.... *she opens her cloak and does a Heal check, to try and save some nergy*
NARRATOR: *you sense nothing besides pallando btw*
CIMORENE: (thanks)
CIMORENE: (12 on the Heal check)
NARRATOR: (I thought you did all heals for the day?)
NARRATOR: (or is that to stop bleeding?)
CIMORENE: (It's not the spell. It's the skill)
CIMORENE: (To stop bleeding)
NARRATOR: (i know laura, but to actually heal we said up to 2 times a day)
NARRATOR: (i'll allow this, however)
NARRATOR: *you seem to have stopped your own bleeding, amazingly enough*
NARRATOR: Pallando:So what then? Go to the things chamber and see if we can find the cells threw there?
CIMORENE: *she nods* yes.... let's do that
NARRATOR: Pallando:*hesitates*This could be the end you realize?
CIMORENE: I do not fear the end.... if the Valar finally call me home, then at least I will have completed my mission to my Lord Oromic.
NARRATOR: Pallando:*sighs*you said you already had. Very well let us go...
NARRATOR: *he leads you on down the large straight hall*
CIMORENE: Besides.... at least I'll go with good company, friend
NARRATOR: *you two, after a good 15 minutes find another junction*
NARRATOR: Pallando:My thanks Cimorene.
CIMORENE: (What does it look like?)
NARRATOR: *it is a "T" junction that goes right where the rest of the path goes straight*
CIMORENE: *whispers* can you sense anything? This is like what Meledar described....
CIMORENE: (sense power)
CIMORENE: (11)
NARRATOR: Pallando:Nothing outside of some orcs
NARRATOR: *you sense nothing*
NARRATOR: *outside pallando, that is*
CIMORENE: (hold on a sec, ok?)
NARRATOR: (k)
CIMORENE: *she gestures down the right path of the T-junction* I say we go that way
NARRATOR: Pallando:I wonder if he is there, but we can try
NARRATOR: (you go down the right?)
CIMORENE: (Yup)
CIMORENE: (Down the body of the T)
NARRATOR: *you two go down the right path and find it opens into a circular room with no exit*
NARRATOR: *observe*
CIMORENE: (10)
NARRATOR: *you are hit with an orc arrow doing 6 damage*
CIMORENE: (shit)
NARRATOR: *initiative*
CIMORENE: (15)
CIMORENE: (Do negs count for init?)
NARRATOR: *another feature to the room is a hole in the back part of it*
NARRATOR: *it is enough for a grown man to fall down*
NARRATOR: *it has a matching one in the ceiling*
NARRATOR: (i think the negs are to init too)
CIMORENE: (damn)
CIMORENE: (make that 8 then)
NARRATOR: (laura take your weariness level back)
NARRATOR: (the drink brins back 1 level of it when taken)
CIMORENE: (I'm InCapacitated by the way)
CIMORENE: (oh.. 9 then)
NARRATOR: *stamina test*
CIMORENE: (boxcars)
NARRATOR: *you barely feel the tug of fatigue*
NARRATOR: *and it goes just as quickly*
NARRATOR: *there are.... 25 orcs in the room*
CIMORENE: (damn damn damn damn damn damn dman damn damn)
NARRATOR: Pallando:Cimorene hold nothing back now! *starts chanting hard and loud*
CIMORENE: (is the cieling made out of stone?)
NARRATOR: (ah, it is all cave yes)
CIMORENE: (good. Tell me when it's my turn)
NARRATOR: *hit for 7 and 5 by arrows*
NARRATOR: *you're up*
CIMORENE: (good)
CIMORENE: *she chants*
CIMORENE: (And Sunders the ceiling)
NARRATOR: (here we go...)
CIMORENE: (he said not to hold back)
NARRATOR: (correct)
NARRATOR: (*looks up info*)
CIMORENE: hell.... 14, but I'm using a courage point)
CIMORENE: (So it's cast)
NARRATOR: (is that with the miruvor?)
CIMORENE: (oops...... no courage need then. it's a 18, right?)
NARRATOR: (yes)
CIMORENE: (very cast, then)
CIMORENE: (needed 15)
NARRATOR: *the ceiling collapses before any make it to you*
NARRATOR: *pallando stops chanting blindsided by your power*
CIMORENE: *she rushes throught he debris to the hole and looks down*
NARRATOR: (wait)
CIMORENE: (oh)
CIMORENE: (sorry)
NARRATOR: *the ceiling caves in so much that it looks like the floor above in the area did as well*
NARRATOR: *the room is now sealed off with rubble*
CIMORENE: (?)
NARRATOR: *swiftness check*
NARRATOR: (uh, roll 2d6)
CIMORENE: (8)
NARRATOR: *2 damage from debris*
NARRATOR: (you in effect caved the whole ceiling and above floor, in)
CIMORENE: (damn..... almost halfway into Incap)
NARRATOR: (the room is no more and conceivably the ones below and above)
NARRATOR: *the whole surrounding mountain shook with your attack*
CIMORENE: *she hurries back down the hall, dragging pallando with her*
NARRATOR: *he goes with*
NARRATOR: Pallando:Very impressive and terribly effective
NARRATOR: *he goes down closer to the source of the cold down the way you were before*
CIMORENE: *follows, watching their backs hard*
NARRATOR: *observe*
CIMORENE: (8)
NARRATOR: *your elf eyes see all the way back the path and it leads to the 3 begginings you started at in the first place as a team of 3*
NARRATOR: *you see no enemies*
CIMORENE: (ok)
NARRATOR: *as you two go on you see a ramp above that looks to be a path to the above floor*
NARRATOR: *it is some 30 feet up*
CIMORENE: *Follows pallando*
NARRATOR: *it is a half hour later that you two reach the end*
NARRATOR: *on the way he offers you more Miruvor and Lembas*
CIMORENE: *eats it happily*
CIMORENE: (The end of what?)
NARRATOR: (in a sec)
NARRATOR: *you know the Miruvour bonus. Lembas does +2 stamina on top of Miruvor and a +1 willpower for a whole day*
CIMORENE: (beautiful)
NARRATOR: (ya just what you need don't ya think?)
CIMORENE: (indeed)
NARRATOR: *the path thins*
NARRATOR: *to a passage of ice that in the center, top and bottom is about an inch of actual non-ice space*
CIMORENE: (So we're moving away from the coold?)
NARRATOR: Pallando:This is almost the center of it
NARRATOR: *from his staff comes a small ball of flame that he is using to melt a way threw the ice*
NARRATOR: Pallando:*whispers*See what is beyond this
CIMORENE: *she nods* I agree..... *looks hard*
CIMORENE: (observe?)
NARRATOR: (search)
CIMORENE: (wow..... 10)
NARRATOR: (conceal, observe, stealth are all afinities for this)
NARRATOR: (each affinity skill does plus 1 to test result)
CIMORENE: (I still don't understand affinities)
CIMORENE: (oh)
NARRATOR: (there ya go)
CIMORENE: (so, 12 then)
NARRATOR: *you see a helerog on a throne of ice talking harshly to a cowering troll to your right*
NARRATOR: *there are some 10 orcs near the base of the throne bowing down*
CIMORENE: *she grabs Pallando's shoulder, hissing for him to stop*
NARRATOR: *there is another troll on the left side of the room*
NARRATOR: *pallando stops immediately*
CIMORENE: *whispers directly into his ear, so very little sound can get out* There is a hellrog in there.....
NARRATOR: *he looks up at you*
CIMORENE: (I know what it is, right?)
NARRATOR: (lores?)
CIMORENE: (mirkwood, elves, fellowship, Moria, and Rings of power)
CIMORENE: (nevermind my post)
NARRATOR: (elf lore)
CIMORENE: (ok then)
CIMORENE: (14)
CIMORENE: (Wait.... with negs?)
NARRATOR: (sadly)
NARRATOR: (they have you sorta dazed)
CIMORENE: (damn..... 7 then)
NARRATOR: *doesn't ring a bell*
CIMORENE: *she whispers still* It is a large creature.... it resembles a Balrog from the stories told by the Wizards and the books in Saruman's tower.... except it is made of ice. And there are at least ten orcs, and several trolls. the huge creature is sitting on a throne, and looks to be issuing orders to the orcs and trolls
NARRATOR: (2 trolls laura)
NARRATOR: (still, bad)
CIMORENE: (*shrugs* Two is several)
NARRATOR: Pallando:What now? Cave in this room? I doubt you'll have the luck
NARRATOR: (k)
CIMORENE: I agree..... we can try and go around it, look for other openings.... or we go in and bargain with it for Melendar
NARRATOR: Pallando:Besides, did you say that Melendars cell is close to this place?
NARRATOR: Pallando:I wonder if other paths are gone due to the cave-in
CIMORENE: It is close, yes
CIMORENE: And I'm not sure what I caused with the cave-in.... i wasn't thinking when I did it
NARRATOR: Pallando:This is your mission. What do you wish to do?
NARRATOR: Pallando:I am sorry if I ushered you on to harshly
CIMORENE: Do you know what that creature is?
NARRATOR: *looks in*
NARRATOR: Pallando:I have heard stories, but I know no more than what you said. There is rumor that years past in Galtaire it terroized the other watchtowers on the mountain tops
CIMORENE: Do you think we can kill it? It looks so similar to a Balrog.... and I do not want to face one of those. but if it can issue orders, it can surely think. and melendar said that it wanted him to teach it something about crafting
NARRATOR: Pallando:Then it is surely intelligent. Perhaps as skilled in the ways of things as we are. And we are clearly outnumbered and over-powered
NARRATOR: Pallando:Furthermore, the orcs that Wulf held back should be scowering the area for us, our time must be short before we are surrounded and killed
CIMORENE: Well, we can try and skulk about, looking for a path, or try a more direct approach..... Melendar said that they brought him here to be tortured. We can either hide here, or go down there and try reasoning.
NARRATOR: Pallando:Ah yes, wait for Melendar to be brought in. That makes him a powerful potential ally...*thinks*
CIMORENE: INdeed..... but we would have to hide here
NARRATOR: *he thinks*
CIMORENE: and they will be looking for us, after the cave-in
CIMORENE: (you still there?)
NARRATOR: *thinking*
NARRATOR: Pallando:*visibly nervous*I have a half-cocked theory
CIMORENE: Do tell
NARRATOR: Pallando:I coud turn you into an ice crystal, slide you to the side of the room you need and attempt to change you back from here
CIMORENE: And how will it not notice an ice crystal moving across the room?
NARRATOR: Pallando:*smiles some*A distraction
CIMORENE: *stares at him* You cannot be a martyr
NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks playfully shocked*I told you I was not going to die here, but what I can do is have alittle fun for a change
CIMORENE: Explain
CIMORENE: (could I see how many exits there were from the room?)
NARRATOR: Pallando:I will start some infighting myself.
NARRATOR: (you could see one to your left and one to your right)
CIMORENE: (damn)
CIMORENE: And Pallando.... I don't even know which way I need to go
NARRATOR: (it is more than incredibly crucial to choose the correct path)
NARRATOR: Pallando:Can you guess reasonably where not to go based on where we've been or what we've heard?
CIMORENE: It can honestly be either one
CIMORENE: I can try and contact melendar, but I don't dare ask more than one or two questions.... for fear that it can sense me doing it
CIMORENE: Do you think it can?
NARRATOR: Pallando:For all I know it can hear us now
CIMORENE: *she nods* watch my back, friend......
CIMORENE: (Farspeaking)
NARRATOR: Pallando:I will do my best...
CIMORENE: (cast with an 18)
NARRATOR: (cast on)
CIMORENE: (thank you Minuver and Lembas)
CIMORENE: (She will do this without speaking aloud, if she can)
CIMORENE: <Melendar, can you hear me? This is very , very important. Can you remember the throne room at all?>
NARRATOR: (doesn't say you can't do it without talking)
NARRATOR: (so okay)
CIMORENE: (ok)
NARRATOR: Melendar:I can, I was brought in and there was a thrown and another path across ther room and one to the left.
CIMORENE: <Was the one to the left covered in ice?>
NARRATOR: Melendar:Are you nearly here?
NARRATOR: Melendar:Yes it was all but covered in ice
CIMORENE: <Hold tightly, my love..... I'm coming for you now>
CIMORENE: <What is that thing? Can it be reasoned with?>
NARRATOR: Melendar:I would kiss you if I could. It is a Helerog of old. They were bastard sons of the great enemy and can not be reasoned with by us and our kin with much success. The dialect of Quenya (high elvish) they use is a twisted one.
CIMORENE: <I understand....>
CIMORENE: <I hope to see you soon. Hold fast, love>
NARRATOR: Melendar:*threw a spasm of pain*Of course
CIMORENE: *opens her eyes* It is a Helerog..... Valar protect us, it's a Helerog
NARRATOR: *your wizard partner seems confused*
CIMORENE: *tells him what Melendar said*
NARRATOR: Pallando:This is ill news, he will surely have ability similar to ours
CIMORENE: Indeed.... there are no spells to turn me invisible..... so I opt for your idea
CIMORENE: I need to get to the right opening
NARRATOR: Pallando:then let us hope I slide you far and fast enough...
CIMORENE: I agree....
CIMORENE: What I wouldn't give to know Flame of Arnor right now....
NARRATOR: (probably wouldn't be enough)
CIMORENE: *she clasps Pallando's arm* What should I do after I get Melendar?
NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks sullen*I have no further plan
CIMORENE: Great.....
CIMORENE: I can collapse the ceiling again....
CIMORENE: perhaps with enough power I can collapse it atop him before he can chase us
CIMORENE: Slow him down a bit
NARRATOR: Pallando:*snickers*Perhaps. Maybe you two will find a way, though. After ths I will most likely be forced to retreat back to the elves.
CIMORENE: So will we.... I think the only way out of here is through the elves
NARRATOR: Pallando:Most likely. Well are you ready?
NARRATOR: *he hands you a full bottle of miruvor and a bread of lembas for your troubles*
CIMORENE: So we meet in the halls of the Elves, friend?
NARRATOR: Pallando:If all goes well you, I, Melendar, and Wulf will all meet in the caverns behind
CIMORENE: *she hugs him tightly, suddenly* I hope so.... Valar's love to you, my friend
CIMORENE: (We are NOT ending until this is done or we can't type anymore)
NARRATOR: Pallando:May their will be done...
NARRATOR: (lol! too exciting for you to stop eh?)
CIMORENE: (indeed)
NARRATOR: (very well)
CIMORENE: (you stop and I'll ban you from my game for two weeks)
NARRATOR: *he turns you into a fragile ice crystal palm sized*
CIMORENE: I need to get to the right passage from here
NARRATOR: (no problem lets finish it)
NARRATOR: (right)
CIMORENE: *prays*
NARRATOR: *he casts wizards hand on you*
NARRATOR: *he does this after he pushes an orc into another with wizards hand and they start to fight*
NARRATOR: *you successfully move swiftly on the floor to the doorway*
NARRATOR: *you are in the hall and out of the view of the helerog and trolls since the fight is on*
NARRATOR: *you turn back into Cimorene the Violet of the Grey Havens*
CIMORENE: (whew)
CIMORENE: *she runs down the hallway*
NARRATOR: *run check*
CIMORENE: (4)
NARRATOR: *the path slopes upwards*
NARRATOR: (you'll have to do better, laura or you'll fall and slide back where you don't wanna be*)
CIMORENE: (how much better?)
NARRATOR: (1 pt)
CIMORENE: (courage)
NARRATOR: *you almost fall to your utter doom but a burst of energy comes to you and you charge up the hill all the more determined to find your lost love*
NARRATOR: *after 8 minutes*
NARRATOR: *stamina check*
CIMORENE: (17)
NARRATOR: *you feel finer than fine*
CIMORENE: (heh... stamina I can do)
NARRATOR: (ya, hell ya)
NARRATOR: *you come to a "T" junction with very precise flat ice-walls*
NARRATOR: *the paths are left and right*
CIMORENE: (*scrolls up*)
NARRATOR: (huh?)
NARRATOR: (laura?)
CIMORENE: (lol.... reading which way to go)
NARRATOR: (oh now i get it)
CIMORENE: *goes left*
NARRATOR: *observe*
CIMORENE: (heh..... 5)
NARRATOR: (yow)
CIMORENE: (That's what happens when you're Incap)
NARRATOR: *the 3 orcs rush at you*
CIMORENE: (great)
CIMORENE: (Should I roll init?)
NARRATOR: (yes plz)
CIMORENE: (11)
NARRATOR: *the first orc comes at you*
NARRATOR: (boxcars..)
CIMORENE: (you're kidding)
NARRATOR: *17*
CIMORENE: (great..... Near Death)
NARRATOR: *misses 2nd attack*
NARRATOR: *observe check*
CIMORENE: (7)
NARRATOR: (suggest courage)
CIMORENE: (how much?)
NARRATOR: (1 pt)
CIMORENE: (do it)
CIMORENE: (have two left)
NARRATOR: *you hear melendar down the hall to the left in this new hall you are fighting in*
NARRATOR: Melendar:Cimorene come to me!!
CIMORENE: (Can I yell back, or wait for my turn?)
NARRATOR: (it actually is your turn)
CIMORENE: *yells back* I'm trying!!!!
NARRATOR: (either break combat or say up to 7 words)
CIMORENE: *casts Voice of COmmand*
NARRATOR: (or both)
NARRATOR: (that's on 1 guy)
CIMORENE: (holy shit..... cast with a 15. and yes, I know)
CIMORENE: *yells to the closest Orc* Protect me from everything until you die!
CIMORENE: (Does that work?)
NARRATOR: (wait)
NARRATOR: (i think it's all within hearing)
CIMORENE: (?)
CIMORENE: (*checks*)
NARRATOR: (sorry 1)
NARRATOR: (you can cast it on 2 of them this round if you want)
CIMORENE: (I shall, if I can pass it again)
CIMORENE: (passed with flying colors)
CIMORENE: (hell yeah)
CIMORENE: (18)
CIMORENE: (wait)
CIMORENE: (nevermind.... 16)
CIMORENE: (forgot I was Near Death now)
NARRATOR: *still passes*
CIMORENE: (Same thing to both then)
NARRATOR: (the other command will work only as "protect me")
CIMORENE: (sounds fine)
NARRATOR: (book specifies simple commands)
NARRATOR: (k)
CIMORENE: (effects?)
NARRATOR: *the third orc is restrained by the other 2 orcs*
NARRATOR: *the show no signs of stopping*
CIMORENE: *hurries to his voice*
CIMORENE: *surely coughing up a little blood*
NARRATOR: *you go down the hall with his voice*
NARRATOR: *there is a dead troll on the ground*
NARRATOR: *3 cells*
NARRATOR: *all shut. the middle one has the voice*
CIMORENE: (lol.... Jaws danger soundtrack in the background)
CIMORENE: *rushes to the cell* Melendar!
NARRATOR: *you look in and see him in there and looking bad*
CIMORENE: (what's the cell made of?)
NARRATOR: *he is beaten badly and seems to have gotten loose of restraints on the wall*
NARRATOR: *stone door*
CIMORENE: (any keyholes?)
NARRATOR: (none)
NARRATOR: *no key hole*
NARRATOR: *it is a solid stone piece that fits in the wall to form a door*
CIMORENE: (no doubt the troll moves it)
NARRATOR: *there is the typical small 2ft peep hole with stone bars*
CIMORENE: *she slams her staff against the stone*
NARRATOR: Melendar:Cimorene you have come!
CIMORENE: (armed combat roll?)
NARRATOR: (you're trying to break it with your staff?)
CIMORENE: (yes, my wonderful iron staff)
NARRATOR: (k)
NARRATOR: (i'd say you could hit it. strength check)
CIMORENE: (12)
NARRATOR: *a barely noticable crack*
CIMORENE: *she grumbles* Nothing is ever easy..... Hold on, melendar, I'll get you out.... somehow...
NARRATOR: Melendar:I would open it, but I am so weary, love. *sighs hard*So very weary
CIMORENE: DOn't you dare die on me know
CIMORENE: Just hold on another minute, and I'll get in there and heal you
NARRATOR: Melendar:*manages a weak smile*I will try
NARRATOR: Melendar:*almost to himself*They took my sword and all weapons save my clothes
CIMORENE: *summoning everything she has* Small Sundering
CIMORENE: (17)
NARRATOR: *cast*
CIMORENE: (whew)
CIMORENE: (effects?)
NARRATOR: (not by much though)
CIMORENE: ( no kidding)
NARRATOR: *the stone explodes*
NARRATOR: (Swiftness)
CIMORENE: (wow..... 1)
NARRATOR: *lucky day bad roll for full damage; 5*
CIMORENE: (stupid leg)
CIMORENE: (shiiiiit)
CIMORENE: (I've got ten hp left)
CIMORENE: (total)
NARRATOR: (ouch, no-one said it'd be easy)
CIMORENE: (I know)
NARRATOR: Melendar:*gets up off the floor slowly and with pain*Well we are together again *wearily holds up his hands to you*
CIMORENE: *she staggers in and collapses into his arms, hugging him, and crying into his shoulder*
CIMORENE: (Healing Spell)
NARRATOR: *you now notice he is missing his left eye*
CIMORENE: (WHAT?)
NARRATOR: (you heard me)
CIMORENE: (my poor baby!!!)
CIMORENE: (sheesh..... 18)
NARRATOR: (the spell?)
CIMORENE: (yup)
CIMORENE: (and 22 to the healing test)
NARRATOR: *barely cast*
CIMORENE: (yeah, but does it do anything?)
NARRATOR: (+10 to heal check)
NARRATOR: (remember?)
NARRATOR: (make your heal check now)
CIMORENE: (that's with the +10)
NARRATOR: (oh)
CIMORENE: (the 22 was the heal check)
NARRATOR: (sorry got confused)
CIMORENE: (the 18 was the spell Tn test)
NARRATOR: *melendar seems to gain some strength to stand while you lean into him now*
CIMORENE: We have to get out of here, love
CIMORENE: We can't linger. Pallando is holding off the Helerog
NARRATOR: Melendar:Thank you for that, but I am so weary...
NARRATOR: Melendar:The demon is diverted then... I know of no other way out, however
CIMORENE: *she nods* I know.... neither do I. But we have to try
NARRATOR: Melendar:My ability will not be of much use Cimorene. I am weak right now
CIMORENE: We have to try anyway
NARRATOR: Cimorene. If I had rest...
CIMORENE: My powers and leg are all but spent
CIMORENE: But we can't Tarry
NARRATOR: Melendar:If only I had some Miruvor...
NARRATOR: (WINK)
CIMORENE: *blinks at him, then holds up a crystal bottle* Pallando, you genius! *puts the bottle to his lips*
NARRATOR: *melendar seems much more refreshed*
NARRATOR: Melendar:*looks at you apprasingaly*Is that Lembas in a Mallon leaf?
CIMORENE: *she smiles at him* of course
NARRATOR: *he greedily partakes*
CIMORENE: *she massages her leg while he eats and drinks*
NARRATOR: *melendar rips off part of his sleve and makes a crude eye-patch*
CIMORENE: *she chuckles a little* I'll make you a fine patch when we get to safety, love
NARRATOR: *he kisses your leg*
NARRATOR: Melendar:*smiles and laughs ever so slightly*Then we'll be even
CIMORENE: INdeed
CIMORENE: Can you walk at all?
NARRATOR: Melendar:*gets up with some vigor*Yes and perhaps we can get out of this frozen hell
NARRATOR: (laura don't froget your staff powers)
CIMORENE: (?)
NARRATOR: (you have wizards endurance on it)
NARRATOR: (ignore all weariness levels once a day)
NARRATOR: (just FYI)
CIMORENE: (*slaps herself really really hard in the forehead*)
CIMORENE: *she pulls herself up, using her staff* let's go
NARRATOR: Melendar:Right*moves back down to the helerog chamber*
NARRATOR: *he has you on his shoulder*
CIMORENE: *she pulls on his arm* But Melendar.... we can't fight that thing?
NARRATOR: Melendar:You're right we cannot
NARRATOR: Melendar:We only need to escape correct?
CIMORENE: yes
NARRATOR: Melendar:Which way is out?
CIMORENE: *she blinks* Down the iced-over passage in the throne room
NARRATOR: Melendar:*stops*Oh...
CIMORENE: That's how I got here
NARRATOR: Melendar:*suddenly frustrated*Threw the ice? How did you manage such a feat?
CIMORENE: Pallando transformed me into an ice crystal and distracted the horde.
NARRATOR: *looks quite surprised*
NARRATOR: Melendar:How.... careless of him
CIMORENE: And now he's probably in that room, with that thing. And it's the only way out I know of
CIMORENE: He said he would meet me in the outer halls if we lived
NARRATOR: Melendar:Shall we try to find our own way then?
CIMORENE: *she nods* Yes
CIMORENE: Back past the jail cells
NARRATOR: Melendar:Take my ring, darling
CIMORENE: *she blinks* your ring? Why?
NARRATOR: Melendar:Just in case I do not make it. Besides, you have more need for shadows then I
NARRATOR: *he just looks at you and how near death you clearly are*
CIMORENE: *she hugs him fiercely* you WILL make it
CIMORENE: *takes it anyway and slips it on*
NARRATOR: Melendar:*blankly*Of course
NARRATOR: *+10 stealth, +1 action*
CIMORENE: *heads down the passage, staff out*
NARRATOR: Melendar:And darling... *holds out his black cloak*
CIMORENE: *she blinks* What's that for?
NARRATOR: Melendar:Do you trust me? If you do you will trust it to hide you
CIMORENE: I'd better trust you after all this time.... but what about you?
NARRATOR: Melendar:I can last longer than you in the open. Will you not take it?
CIMORENE: *takes it and slips it over her clothes&
NARRATOR: *+7 stealth(cummulative)*
CIMORENE: (cool)
NARRATOR: *he casts change hue on you*
CIMORENE: *hurries down the path*
NARRATOR: *+5 stealth*
CIMORENE: (Wow)
NARRATOR: Melendar:I just want you to be safe. Now do you have a weapon I can borrow?
CIMORENE: *she hands him both her bow and the elven blade*
NARRATOR: (i know you just got +22 stealth)
NARRATOR: Melendar:*holds the blade*Not bad...
NARRATOR: *he goes the other way past the orcs restraining the other stilll*
CIMORENE: *goes with him*
NARRATOR: *15 minutes pass*
NARRATOR: *there is a "T" junction with a path right or straight*
NARRATOR: Melendar:I am as confused as you are
CIMORENE: (Which way feels less cold?)
CIMORENE: We need to head away from the cold
CIMORENE: That's how we got to you, by following the cold
NARRATOR: Melendar:I have long since stopped paying attention, I hardly can judge so crucially
CIMORENE: (tests it herself, then)
CIMORENE: (You there?)
NARRATOR: (I am)
NARRATOR: (uh...)
CIMORENE: (lol)
NARRATOR: (what kinda test for this.... weather sense!)
CIMORENE: (very cool)
CIMORENE: (With negs?)
NARRATOR: (of course)
CIMORENE: (The book said MOST mental tests, so I keep asking)
CIMORENE: (boxcars)
NARRATOR: *it feels colder to the right*
CIMORENE: *goes left*
NARRATOR: (straight or right)
CIMORENE: (straight)
CIMORENE: (sorry)
NARRATOR: *you two go on straight*
NARRATOR: *15 more minutes go by*
NARRATOR: *the path forks right and left*
NARRATOR: *the paths are significantly smaller*
CIMORENE: (weather sense again)
CIMORENE: (Huh?)
NARRATOR: (smaller than your current one)
CIMORENE: (as in, the entire tunnel?)
CIMORENE: (ewwww..... five)
NARRATOR: (ya)
NARRATOR: *you feel no real difference either way*
CIMORENE: *tries again*
CIMORENE: (oooo 8)
NARRATOR: (repeat makes it harder)
NARRATOR: *no difference*
CIMORENE: *she growls in frustration* I can't help it.... I'm too tired to feel the differences.... Melendar? can you try?
NARRATOR: *he smells the air*
NARRATOR: Melendar:There are orcs to the right path and there is no real scent the other way
CIMORENE: *she glances at him* can you fight?
NARRATOR: Melendar:*holds the sword pretty confidently*I can, but not as long as you would like, perhaps long enough though
NARRATOR: Melendar:*kisses your head*We need to find rest, love.
CIMORENE: We do.... rather badly too
CIMORENE: But they'll come looking for us..... *is scared to sleep, and it's apparent*
NARRATOR: Melendar:Let us go a little further eh?
CIMORENE: *she nods* Down the path with no smell
NARRATOR: *you two go on*
NARRATOR: *it is 10 more minutes till you find the end*
NARRATOR: *it is a medium sized quarters long since unoccupied*
NARRATOR: *there are some 20 orc beds*
NARRATOR: Melendar:I have an idea
CIMORENE: *she smiles, laughing a little* Please tell me it involves sleeping!
NARRATOR: Melendar:*wrly*It just may
NARRATOR: Melendar:Now I need a door of sorts. I can cast a spell on the door to curse any who I choose to exclude.
CIMORENE: *hands him her staff* This may help
NARRATOR: Melendar:We could even cave in the rooms entrance on top of it.
CIMORENE: but then how would we get out?
NARRATOR: Melendar:We know for a fact of a room to the other side of the room don't we *smiles*
CIMORENE: *she nods, and sits on a bed with a groan. she elevates her bad leg*
NARRATOR: Melendar:What do you approve with?
CIMORENE: The room on the other side of the room
NARRATOR: Melendar:the path with the orcs remember?
NARRATOR: Melendar: yes I can cave our path in, multiple times. It would take them a long time to get to us
CIMORENE: But still, how would we get out
NARRATOR: Melendar:I can do my door exclusion on top of this and we could sleep for a long time
NARRATOR: Melendar:We can simply blow our way to the next room
NARRATOR: Melendar:But whatever we do we must decide fast before we are found
CIMORENE: *she nods* that seems like the best plan I can think if
CIMORENE: Do it, love
CIMORENE: I can try to help with the blasting
NARRATOR: Melendar:I will do it for you. Rest now*kisses you*
NARRATOR: *he goes down the path to close it up multiple times*
NARRATOR: (what are you doing?)
CIMORENE: (Sitting there)
CIMORENE: (waiting for him to come back)
NARRATOR: *you feel a dull rumble or 6*
CIMORENE: *she's not moving, or sleeping, until she can see him again*
NARRATOR: (hehehe, makes since)
NARRATOR: Melendar:*comes back in room* Now I need only to make a crude door out of beds...
CIMORENE: *she gets up to help him*
NARRATOR: *he spends the next hour or so crafting the most crude wood door you've seen but still*
NARRATOR: (you want to make a craft check to help him?)
CIMORENE: (sure)
CIMORENE: (lol..... snake eyes)
NARRATOR: *he lets you think you are really helping him as he makes the door*
CIMORENE: (lol)
NARRATOR: *he then casts Exclusion on the door against servents of the Helerog or the helerog himself*
NARRATOR: *the door is cursed and on it is written the curse in multiple languages; all who violate the door shall be cursed dumb*
CIMORENE: (lol)
CIMORENE: (much curses)
CIMORENE: *she chuckles a little* I don't think even I could stand that many curses, melendar
NARRATOR: Melendar:Of course you could*holds you close*You are stronger than many I have ever met, and I have met.... more than a few
CIMORENE: *pushes three beds together and lays both her cloak and his cloak on them. Pushes him into the "large bed" and curles up in his arms, hugging him for dear life* Liun Ruth is dead
NARRATOR: Melendar:*peacful now*That is very well. How?
CIMORENE: I stabbed him through his black heart
CIMORENE: *regales him with the story*
NARRATOR: Melendar:*laughs and coughs at once*You see?! You strength is hard to surpass.
CIMORENE: *she grins a little, then yawns* You sleep first....
NARRATOR: Melendar:*rubs your leg some*I am sorry you had to pay so hard for it
CIMORENE: I'll keep watch. just sleep yourself out
CIMORENE: Me too
CIMORENE: But we'll talk more about it once we get into the sunshine again
CIMORENE: *touches his eyes a little, then lays a kiss over the patch*
NARRATOR: (eye)
NARRATOR: (ya)
CIMORENE: (I know.... typo)
CIMORENE: (you still good?)
NARRATOR: *he tears out of his only eye*
NARRATOR: (i'm fine laura)
CIMORENE: (me too)
NARRATOR: (u?)
NARRATOR: (alright lets roll on and see if they are doomed or not)
CIMORENE: *she whispers* I couldn't just leave you down here
CIMORENE: (indeed)
CIMORENE: *to his sleeping self*
NARRATOR: *he sleeps very very peacfully in your arms*
NARRATOR: *time is hard to tell anymore*
NARRATOR: *he wakes up*
CIMORENE: *she smiles down at him* Feel a little better?
NARRATOR: Melendar:*his eye opens lazily and happily to seeing you*Very much. I could use many more days of this.
CIMORENE: So could I..... my turn, greedy-gut
NARRATOR: Melendar:But now you must sleep, my dove.
NARRATOR: *he smiles and lets you drift off*
CIMORENE: *puts a death-grip on his hand and sleeps hard*
NARRATOR: *you wake up after an incredibly pleasant sleep*
CIMORENE: (woohoo!)
NARRATOR: (lol, change ain't it?)
CIMORENE: (no kidding)
CIMORENE: (It's been quite a few days)
NARRATOR: (ya)
CIMORENE: *sleepily* Melendar?
NARRATOR: Melendar:How are you? *he is massaging your leg already when you wake up*
CIMORENE: *winces a little* better....
CIMORENE: Any problems?
NARRATOR: Melendar:Not even a hint of one
CIMORENE: Good
CIMORENE: *puts a hand on his and casts Healing*
CIMORENE: (Or tries to, anyway)
NARRATOR: (miruvor is gone)
CIMORENE: (goodie)
CIMORENE: (cast with a 16)
NARRATOR: (bathroom...)
CIMORENE: (go ahead)
NARRATOR: (back)
CIMORENE: (wb)
NARRATOR: *cast*
NARRATOR: (wb?)
CIMORENE: (18 on the heal test)
NARRATOR: (water break?)
CIMORENE: (welcome Back)
NARRATOR: (aww thanks:-))
NARRATOR: *melendar looks alot better*
NARRATOR: *he heals you up as well*
CIMORENE: *she smiles*
NARRATOR: *1 wound level*
NARRATOR: *he does it again too*
NARRATOR: *1 more level*
CIMORENE: (two wound lvls?)
NARRATOR: (ya remember twice a day)
CIMORENE: (wow..... Cimorene's happy)
CIMORENE: *she does it to him again too*
NARRATOR: (melendars happy too)
CIMORENE: (cast with a 12, and 17 heal test)
NARRATOR: *he looks even better*
CIMORENE: *she smiles* one more day of this, and we can battle anything, love
NARRATOR: Melendar:*smiles back*Yes, why not one more day eh?
CIMORENE: Well.... they'll notice that you're gone
NARRATOR: Melendar:Of course, but the real question is where they think to look? Maybe they will think I fled somehow. That demon respected me enough
CIMORENE: Really?
NARRATOR: Melendar:Yes. He even knew who I was. I don't know how or why.
CIMORENE: Neither do I..... but Pallando knows you too
NARRATOR: Melendar:Though he still tore out my eye from its socket and threatened the other and a long slow death
CIMORENE: *looks down* I hope he's all right.....
NARRATOR: Melendar:I cannot remember a Pallando
CIMORENE: He's the other Blue Wizard
NARRATOR: Melendar:He is not like the other I am surmizing?
CIMORENE: *tells him the entire story of the battle, sparing nothing*
NARRATOR: (which one?)
CIMORENE: (The Battle for Galtaire)
NARRATOR: (right)
NARRATOR: Melendar:That is amazing
NARRATOR: Melendar:You never cease to amaze me *looks into your eyes with his*
NARRATOR: Melendar:I hope that Igiwi is alive...
CIMORENE: *she smiles at him* Well, I haven't fought a Helerog yet
NARRATOR: Melendar:And at this rate you won't have to today
CIMORENE: I hope not
CIMORENE: *she glowers* They wouldn't come with me.... to save you
NARRATOR: Melendar:Those elves?
CIMORENE: *nods*
NARRATOR: Melendar:*flare of anger*Ungrateful... If they had so much of this would be avoided
CIMORENE: wulf came, though he didn't want to
NARRATOR: Melendar:That counts for something, though. I hope he is alright
CIMORENE: Me too....
CIMORENE: Tell me of your battle
NARRATOR: *he recounts how he went to the caves and played along with them knowing him. He found Wulf and while discussing helping Galtaire they were suddenly attacked. Orcs and Trolls and the Helerog were invading the elf caverns and succeeding with their surprise attack. The Helerog, however, had been spear-heading them. So Melendar found the leader and challanged him. Wulf tried to help but was all but killed, Melendar saved him by taking a killing blow to his side. Then the two combatents fought up the winding paths of the caves and feel over a cliff even till the invasion stopped for the most part to see the outcome. So slim was the Helerog's victory, but Melendar was beaten.*
CIMORENE: *she holds him tightly while he speaks* I was afraid I'd never see you again
NARRATOR: Melendar:And I you *holds you just as tight*
CIMORENE: See? I kept my promise..... *softly*
NARRATOR: Melendar:Now I have to make you an elegant robe to wear and a dress and a.... life
CIMORENE: melendar..... *snuggles* my life is where you are now.... wherever you go.
NARRATOR: Melendar:That is all I ask for
CIMORENE: After this is over... I have to report back to Minis Tirith, with Pallando, hopefully. Then I need to check on Belegar....
CIMORENE: *sighs* Then I want to retire again. *glances at her staff*
NARRATOR: Melendar:The world seems so far away now. If you do all that then you will be with me and I with you?
CIMORENE: After all of this is over.... I want to go West. With you.
NARRATOR: Melendar:*smiles*That has been my dream for a long time now
NARRATOR: *he kisses ya*
CIMORENE: (awwww)
NARRATOR: (awwww)
CIMORENE: *snuggles up and goes back to sleep*
CIMORENE: (*pokes*)
NARRATOR: (me or him?)

NARRATOR: *you wake up after who knows how long anymore*
NARRATOR: *time has slowed to a wonderful crawl in your little cave*

CIMORENE: *she wakes up and smiles* ya know... this place isn't so bad once you get past the cold, no food, no fire thing
NARRATOR: Melendar:We can make fire

CIMORENE: *she sighs* We have to get out of here, melendar
NARRATOR: Melendar:What about the lembas? Can we have some of that first?
CIMORENE: *she smiles* Of course we can
CIMORENE: *hands him a whole leaf of it*
NARRATOR: Melendar:And this place, this moment. What if we go threw the wall and that is our end. Shouldn't we make... the most of this moment?
NARRATOR: *he eats it up*

CIMORENE: I won't die in here

CIMORENE: But I'm vain and impatient and gruff and hasty... and I have purple hair! *holds it up, looking scandalized*
NARRATOR: Melendar:*gently laughs*You are the most wonderful woman I have ever met in my life. You are kind, giving, funny, strong, and beautiful. And I would be the most blessed person to be wed to you.
CIMORENE: *whimpers, trying her best not to smile* but.... purple hair....
NARRATOR: Melendar:*whispers in your ear*I love your purple hair
CIMORENE: *she grins and whispers back* Then I can battle anything you put in front of me so we can get married
NARRATOR: Melendar:Then lets have a little lunch and enjoy our fire over there *looks to burning matress like it was a fire-place* and we can be off to our dreams okay?
CIMORENE: *she nods and casts Healing twice while she's hugging him*
NARRATOR: *he does the same, and easily heals you*
CIMORENE: (ditto)
NARRATOR: *2 wound levels*
