NARRATOR: Pallando:Who is a captain here?

NARRATOR: *to all the men*

CIMORENE: Igiwi

NARRATOR: Pallando:Who here leads?

NARRATOR: *the men hush*

NARRATOR: *no one replies for a minute*

NARRATOR: Grishna:I do sir!

CIMORENE: (lol)

NARRATOR: (there's always somebody)

NARRATOR: *a thinner and smaller man in armor comes up*

NARRATOR: *he seems to be a more minor lieutenant*

NARRATOR: Grishna:I lead men, sir.  No one else who does seems to be responding... so here i am

CIMORENE: *she nods*  INdeed.... well, I beleive you are ranking officer.  *tells him Ruth's terms*  What would your opinion be, sir?

NARRATOR: Grishna:How can we possibly surrender?

CIMORENE: *she almost cannot bear to look at him*  Believe me, if there was another way... I would gladly do it.  My last idea is to offer him something of power that will keep hiS mind away from Galtaire.  And all I have that is that powerful is myself.

NARRATOR: Pallando:You would surrender yourself?  What good would it do?

NARRATOR: Grishna:We may yet be able to triumph*seems only half convinced*

CIMORENE: I may be able to negotiate the survival of Galtaire.

NARRATOR: Pallando:You know his goal.  I do not believe he will stem the slaughter forever

CIMORENE: *she sighs*  that is my last idea besides fighting.  Melendar went to find the elves of the mountain, but by the time he returns, I fear it will be too late.

NARRATOR: Pallando:If they come at all.

NARRATOR: Grishna:Is there no way for us to flee to safer territory?

CIMORENE: *she shrugs*  You know this city better than I.  Besides the underground tunnels that the women and children were sent down, I can think of no way.  And we cannot lead the armies down there...

NARRATOR: Pallando:We are stuck if we cannot make own own escape

CIMORENE: (ooooo!!!!  Witch Hunter Robin!!!)

NARRATOR: (hehe)

CIMORENE: Well, we can either try and run for it, or take our chances and hope that Melendar did indeed convince the elves.

NARRATOR: Pallando:Perhaps you and I can destroy these walls ourselves in an attempt to make a momentary escape?

NARRATOR: Grishna:You can do that?  *to you both*

CIMORENE: But to where?  We have nowhere to go, Pallando

NARRATOR: Grishna:Besides where the others went?  We can attempt to flee to the sea?

NARRATOR: *pallando seems desperately thinking*

CIMORENE: *looks surprised for a moment*  We.... could.... or we could flee into the mountain herself.

NARRATOR: Grishna:*Looks back to the army above* That could be hard

NARRATOR: Pallando:*to grishna*Are there no more forces nearby that you are alligned with?

NARRATOR: Grishna:I know little of this, there may be some to the west or the south...I'm not sure

CIMORENE: *she surpresses a growl of frustration*  Well, Pallando, it is certain that Liun Ruth wants you.

NARRATOR: Pallando:I knew this for sometime

CIMORENE: I propose you get as far away as you can from here.  Do not give him anything he wants.

NARRATOR: Pallando:*smiles*Which would include a surrender.  I can take you with me, you realize

CIMORENE: *she stares at him a moment, then glances back at the men behind her, and at the army around her*  I... I cannot leave them like this, until I know they have a fighting chance

NARRATOR: Grishna:*sudden realization*Is this all because of you two?

NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks at grishna with sad eyes*I do not honeslty know...

CIMORENE: *she shakes her head at Grishna*  No.  This is all happening because Liun Ruth went powermad.

NARRATOR: Pallando:*to you*In his demands, he explicitly wanted Me, my disciple, Melendar and mostly likely yOU

CIMORENE: He never mentioned me at all.

NARRATOR: Pallando:I wonder...

NARRATOR: Pallando:He said he wanted you to find Melendar.  I think he would just claim you

CIMORENE: Pallando.... *grips his arm suddenly*  Do you think he will follow us?

NARRATOR: Pallando:I assume I am always being followed these days

NARRATOR: Pallando:*with a knowing face*There is no certainty here

NARRATOR: Grishna:No... There is not.  I do know for certain that if I command Galtaire; we will not surrender.

CIMORENE: *she hangs her head*  Then what can we do?  It is not certain we will make it to the ocean either, and even if we make it, what then?  We have nothing to get across the sea!

NARRATOR: Grishna:I am not sure of that either....*sighs heavily*If only the elder of Tusek were here...

NARRATOR: Pallando:*to you*We know what the cities answer is, but what will we two do now?

CIMORENE: *she looks back at the invading army, trying to take their measure*

NARRATOR: *4ish in the morning*

NARRATOR: *rain starts*

NARRATOR: (observe check)

CIMORENE: (17)

NARRATOR: *you can just make out threw the darkness and rain, that this host in the front is now a quarter of its original threat.  Galtaire seems to have it outnumbered in men, but not trolls....*

NARRATOR: *though galtaire has sustained heavy losses*

CIMORENE: *she thinks a few moments*  I believe we could beat them if it were not for the trolls....

CIMORENE: (roughly how many trolls?)

NARRATOR: Pallando:that is not to say for the enemy in our rear...

NARRATOR: *you believe there to be roughly 25-40, from your check*

NARRATOR: Pallando:This does not feel right.  He is stronger than this.  His forces are stronger than this, I know it.  Why deliberately hold back?

CIMORENE: *softly*  He wants something...

NARRATOR: *grishna seems dumbfounded*

NARRATOR: Pallando:But what?...

NARRATOR: Grishna:Does he want us to flee?  Are we to be followed somewhere secret to him?

NARRATOR: *pallando seems to maul that thought over*

CIMORENE: If you were seeking to convert all of Middle Earth under the rule of a higher being, what would you need?  First off, an army.  He has that.  Power, something that he has, but he may want more, which is why he is seeking out you and your disciple and Melander....

NARRATOR: *you hear that ragged evil voice from below*

NARRATOR: I BEGIN TO GROW IMPATIENT!!!

CIMORENE: *resists the urge to call him a dung beetle*  Pallando.... could our power together kill him?

NARRATOR: Pallanod:*ignoring his old comrade*Melendar is one of the greatest smiths i've ever seen...

CIMORENE: *she stops dead*  You.... you KNOW Melendar?

NARRATOR: Pallando:Perhaps in single combat, but you must realize he won't allow that with an army about.

NARRATOR: Pallando:Know melendar?  Of course.  How do you?

CIMORENE: I.... *looks away, blushing*

NARRATOR: Pallando:*gazes deep into you*I see.  That is good, he was a very loney person.

NARRATOR: Grishna:*butting in*So are we being used?

NARRATOR: Grishna:Is this all just some game?

NARRATOR: Pallando:That seems increasingly likely, we need to discern quickly why that is

CIMORENE: *a strange glint in her eye*  We could just ask him

NARRATOR: Pallando:Go ahead, but if I know my old friend, he will not give you the whole truth, just what suites him to give you

CIMORENE: Divert him long enough to weaken him, or perhaps kill him, Pallando.... give the people enough time to flee.  An old maneuver.... distract the wolf while your children run away.

CIMORENE: And then call your eagle to come fly us out of there once he's dead.

NARRATOR: Pallando:You cannot be serious.  I cannot secretly destroy a wall in front of an army, let alone 2.

CIMORENE: (*an evil Cimorene looks out from somewhere*  Once their dead....)

NARRATOR: Pallando:I doubt there is any honor duel you can come up with that he would accept.

NARRATOR: Grishna:So we break out by force then and flee?

CIMORENE: No... we offer the suerrender.  You and I go to him.  Battle him, and give the Galtairians time to run.

NARRATOR: Grishna:Or stand and fight it out?

NARRATOR: Pallando:so you pit us against he and his army and hope that my friend*points to the tower and the eagle*grabs us in time?

CIMORENE: *she shrugs*  Unless you have a better plan, that's the best I can do.

CIMORENE: (*sniffs a little*  That's your plan?  Row back to Spain?  In a rowboat?  Well, I like it!  So, how do we get on deck?)

NARRATOR: Pallando:*seems resigned to fate*I find no better course of action.  I will join you in this.  *to grishna*you have your answer.  Prepare your men.

NARRATOR: (hehehe)

NARRATOR: Grishna:*seems awed and renewed in hope*This will never be forgotten*he speaks to you both*I will clear us from here to the ocean and our fates from there...

CIMORENE: Wait.

NARRATOR: *grishna salutes you two and runs off quickly marshalling men and giving orders*

CIMORENE: Are we sure?

CIMORENE: (dang)

NARRATOR: Pallando:I am ready to sacrafice

CIMORENE: *she bows her head*  I could go alone....?

NARRATOR: Pallando:What else would you have us do under the circumstances?

NARRATOR: *he seems opposed to your idea in his look*

CIMORENE: Pallando.... I must tell you something first...

NARRATOR: Pallando:You would not only surely die, but not divert the whole army either.  I have been a chief opponent of his for years.

NARRATOR: *he looks ready to hear you out*

CIMORENE: *tells him everything about her mission from Oromic*  If I die, then go to Gondor.  Escape.

CIMORENE: Someone must tell the Council about this.

NARRATOR: *he nods affirmatively*

NARRATOR: Pallando:Follow me then...*starts walking to the enemy*

NARRATOR: (wow this is a hell of a turn of events...)

CIMORENE: (Didn't expect this, didja?)

NARRATOR: (nope, you may just die here)

CIMORENE: *she glances at the sky once, then follows Pallando, catching up with him and meeting him stride for stride*

CIMORENE: (Goodie)

CIMORENE: (I hope not)

NARRATOR: (me neither, but if it happens..)

CIMORENE: (*sighs*  Well..... let's just pray someone saves me again)

NARRATOR: (wow you so need chris here)

NARRATOR: (you're counting on an eagle to actually)

CIMORENE: (I need Melendar, back at his full strength.  If the three of us went after Liun Ruth.... I think we could win.)

NARRATOR: (but you are in wonderful company with this blue wizard for this fight; he is one of the greatest spell casters you'll ever find and warriors)

NARRATOR: *you go threw the ranks of easterlings and wildmen as they show you two disgust*

CIMORENE: *ignores them, looking only ahead, towards Liun Ruth*

NARRATOR: *you two reach your dreaded opponent who still exudes evil*

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:Pallando?  You come too?  *to you*What is the decision?

CIMORENE: *she glares hard at him*

NARRATOR: *he glares right back*

NARRATOR: (you can do a contest of wills if you like)

CIMORENE: (?)

NARRATOR: (you two roll opposed checks to see who backs down)

CIMORENE: (and if I fail?)

NARRATOR: (you back down and possibly get a neg for a bit in this situation)

CIMORENE: (No deal.... too worried about dying)

NARRATOR: (don't blame you, you aren't exactly at full strength)

NARRATOR: (btw get your courage to full for living this long)

CIMORENE: (cool)

NARRATOR: (well you are up anytime)

CIMORENE: We have come, like you asked.  Isn't that answer enough?

CIMORENE: (I was trying to come up with something suitable)

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:*smiles a terrible smile*You surrender then?

CIMORENE: We have fufilled as much of the bargain as we can.

CIMORENE: I cannot surrender Melendar, nor Pallando's apprentice.

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:Agreed.  I believe the apprentice to be *looks at pallando in satisfaction*dead

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:*to you*You will find him for me.  *to pallando*You will remain my guest

CIMORENE: I cannot find what I have no connection to.

CIMORENE: He fled when the battle started.

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:*to you*I want your word now on this.  If you lie may you forever suffer *holds out a hand to you*

CIMORENE: I cannot find Melendar. *doesn't reach for him*

NARRATOR: *the evil one eyes you suspiciously now*

CIMORENE: All I know is that he left before the battle started.  He was here, and then he was gone.  *holds out her hand*

CIMORENE: He fled.... and left us here alone.

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:No, accept my hand and my curse

CIMORENE: Curse?!  *jerks her hand back*

NARRATOR: (he was to curse you if you shook his hand and lied)

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:You ARE lying!

CIMORENE: *just stares at him*  What are you talking about?

CIMORENE: I just don't want you to curse me!

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:You would not be cursed if you were not lying do you know nothing?

CIMORENE: If I to be cursed for lying, then I have nothing to fear!  You just frightened me!

NARRATOR: *pallando sighs*

CIMORENE: *holds out her hand again*

NARRATOR: (if you shake his hand you will be a cursed liar, i want that made abundantly clear)

CIMORENE: (I haven't lied)

CIMORENE: (At all)

NARRATOR: (you said you surrendered)

NARRATOR: (you aren't)

CIMORENE: (I didn't)

CIMORENE: (*grins*)

NARRATOR: (you are speaking for galtaire to him)

CIMORENE: (No.)

NARRATOR: (that was the deal remember)

CIMORENE: (I said we were here.  And asked if that was answer enough.  I never lied)

NARRATOR: (he said do you surrender then)

CIMORENE: (I never said that the deal was complete.  I unsinuated it, but never spoke the words, therefore, I cannot lie.  And I never said yes to that question)

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:*holds out hand confidently*Then shake

CIMORENE: (honestly.  I haven't lied.  Reread it)

NARRATOR: (you're right)

CIMORENE: (*grins*)

CIMORENE: *she grips it tightly, glaring at him*

NARRATOR: (i read, get on with it, this bodes badly if he lives)

NARRATOR: *the strength of his hand keeps you from gaining satisfaction in the shake*

CIMORENE: *doesn't want to hurt him, just to show she's not afraid of him*

NARRATOR: Luin Ruth:*to pallando*If you would do me the honor of surrendering your staff?

NARRATOR: *pallando looks to you now...HARD as in "how far is this going?"*

CIMORENE: *she nods at him and closes her eyes a moment.  She keeps a very tight grip on his hand*  Lightning.

CIMORENE: (21 on the weariness test)

NARRATOR: *dispel attempt*

CIMORENE: (16)

CIMORENE: (opposed bearing, right?)

NARRATOR: (that's impossible)

NARRATOR: (bearing mod)

CIMORENE: (I rolled a nine, plus 3, and it's a magic test, right?  So I get the other plus two.. oops, fifteen)

NARRATOR: (14)

CIMORENE: (jeez)

NARRATOR: *dispelled*

CIMORENE: (I cannot add)

NARRATOR: *luin ruth says no words and it begins*

CIMORENE: (damn..... I'm dead)

NARRATOR: (initiative)

CIMORENE: (14)

NARRATOR: (impossible)

NARRATOR: (you have only a +1 to init now)

CIMORENE: (growls.... sorry.  10)

CIMORENE: (*rewrites her character sheet again*)

CIMORENE: (I forgot to take off the Wary thing... I crossed it off, but not the effects)

NARRATOR: (ah)

NARRATOR: *pallando has time to draw his sword on top of having his staff out before, init*

CIMORENE: (man.... I want that edge back)

NARRATOR: (sorry some penalties to being an elf)

CIMORENE: (*pouts*)

NARRATOR: *luin ruth chants for his turn*

CIMORENE: (the entire turn?)

NARRATOR: (yes)

NARRATOR: *pallando seems trying to counter cast him*

NARRATOR: *the two seem to have stopped eachother*

NARRATOR: (you're up)

CIMORENE: (hmmm......)

CIMORENE: *she brings her staff around and beats him twice, really hard, in the head, after jerking her hand free*

NARRATOR: *attempted parry*

CIMORENE: (how do we do that?)

NARRATOR: (action allowance)

CIMORENE: (?)

NARRATOR: (extra actions to try to cast)

NARRATOR: (k?  he is saving his normal ones for this)

CIMORENE: (*is still confused*  No!  How do we do a parry?)

NARRATOR: ( i mean vice-versa)

CIMORENE: (lol)

NARRATOR: (opposed armed combat check plus weapons parry bonus)

NARRATOR: (you'll probably hit both times, trust me)

CIMORENE: (what's the weapon parry bonus?)

NARRATOR: (checking....)

NARRATOR: (+2)

CIMORENE: (26)

NARRATOR: *hits*

NARRATOR: (laura you don't get a parry bonus as the attacker)

NARRATOR: (the one parrying does, but you still hit)

CIMORENE: (oh.... hey, cut me some slack here!  I've never done parries!)

NARRATOR: (no worries, you still hit;-))

CIMORENE: (23 on the second)

NARRATOR: *hits again*

CIMORENE: (15 on the first and boxcars on the second, so 19 on the second, right?  No bonuses for boxcars on damage?)

NARRATOR: (roll damage)

NARRATOR: (2d6+4 right?)

CIMORENE: (plus strength)

CIMORENE: (right?)

NARRATOR: (oh ya!)

CIMORENE: (lol.... so plus 7 altogether)

NARRATOR: (cool, so noted)

CIMORENE: *and takes an extra action and beats him one more time for good measure*

NARRATOR: (roll at -5)

CIMORENE: (21)

NARRATOR: *another hit*

CIMORENE: (16)

NARRATOR: *he doesn't seem phazed*

CIMORENE: (great)

NARRATOR: *now the army rushes you two*

CIMORENE: (greater)

CIMORENE: *yells*  What?  Afraid to fight us without your little cronies, Liun?!

NARRATOR: *hit for 13*

CIMORENE: (shit)

CIMORENE: ( never lvled up last time)

NARRATOR: *hit for 18*

CIMORENE: (I'm putting all points into two more health points)

CIMORENE: (end of story)

NARRATOR: (do so now)

NARRATOR: (you sure?)

CIMORENE: (I really need the health.... what would you suggest?  I don't have a book)

NARRATOR: (wizardly powers?)

CIMORENE: (wait... I have that)

NARRATOR: (what's your swiftness?)

CIMORENE: (shit also.... the Spellcasting method... does that add damage?)

CIMORENE: (Swiftness 2)

NARRATOR: (oh so dodging is about out of the question for you)

CIMORENE: (even if I use both lvls to up it, yes)

NARRATOR: (spellcasting method is twice the casting time but 50% more power and duration)

CIMORENE: (gotcha)

NARRATOR: (final strike is an interesting order ability)

CIMORENE: (......)

NARRATOR: (for every spell you can cast you do 3 points of damage in a radius equal to 1 meter per advancement)

NARRATOR: (but it has catastrophic affects to you to use it; i get to decide based on situation)

CIMORENE: (I thought that was only id I died)

NARRATOR: (not neccesarily, you can make a concious decision to do it as well)

CIMORENE: (ick)

NARRATOR: (wizardly power)

CIMORENE: (I hate this.... there was nothing I could do to survive this thing, Jon)

CIMORENE: (Besides flee)

NARRATOR: (1 time per session you use a courage point to make a -10 to a spell but increase it to double)

NARRATOR: (you can still survive)

NARRATOR: (i think this is most likely the smartest way out of this thing)

CIMORENE: (neg 10, eh?)

NARRATOR: (ya)

CIMORENE: (I already have Wizardly Power....)

NARRATOR: (so if you did that and sang the spell you'd do 150% more)

NARRATOR: (that's huge)

CIMORENE: (*takes spellcasting method*)

NARRATOR: (that's wizardly power...)

NARRATOR: (oh you didn't have the spell casting method)

NARRATOR: (that's 3 points)

CIMORENE: (I have the specialty one... where I pick air and storm... I thought that was method?)

NARRATOR: (ya, you have that that's spell specialty)

CIMORENE: (oh.  Then I want to take method again.  I gave it up earlier for my staff)

NARRATOR: (okay so you have specialty and method now?)

CIMORENE: *nods*  How many points is the new order ability?)

NARRATOR: (3)

NARRATOR: (2 left this level, that'll buy you an edge or skill picks)

CIMORENE: (Can I improve an attribute?)

NARRATOR: (that's for 4 or 5 points depending on attribute)

CIMORENE: (what about reactions?)

NARRATOR: (for this first level up lets get rid of the other 2 points)

CIMORENE: (?)

NARRATOR: (you already had spell specialty or did you just take it?)

CIMORENE: (I had it before and gave it up)

CIMORENE: (Cause we screwed up my wizard stuff and I had too many edges)

NARRATOR: (k,so you have a staff and spell specialty now as a wizard correct?)

NARRATOR: (that's it for wizard stuff?)

CIMORENE: (wait.  Specialty I have now.  method I gave up.  Yes, I have a staff, wizard spellcasting, wizardly power, and staff of power)

CIMORENE: (I gave up method so I could have staff of powr)

NARRATOR: (ah you already have wizardly power, fine)

CIMORENE: (lol.... I said that four times!)

NARRATOR: (i'm trying really hard not to get confused)

NARRATOR: (wow you are powerful)

CIMORENE: ( I know... sorry)

CIMORENE: (been a damned long day)

NARRATOR: (specialty gives you not only +2 stamina against weariness with air and water spells, but +2 to other related tests with them, say to hit with a lightning spell)

NARRATOR: (now you have used 3 points in the first of the 2 level ups, do you follow?)

CIMORENE: (yes)

NARRATOR: (then now use the other 2 points)

CIMORENE: (What confused me earlier was that you said we just forget the two points)

NARRATOR: (favoured reactions get a 2 to buy, no favoured is at 3)

NARRATOR: (i didn't mean that at all sorry)

CIMORENE: (I'm adding another point to willpower)

NARRATOR: (what is your favoured reaction?  i cannot tell at all)

CIMORENE: (then another hit point)

NARRATOR: (pick one reaction)

CIMORENE: (aren't they willpower and wisdom?)

NARRATOR: (sure..)

NARRATOR: (k +1 willpower and a point of health to each wound level)

NARRATOR: (set?)

CIMORENE: (yup)

CIMORENE: (yea!  Still dazed!)

NARRATOR: (right then lets see if you two hold out till the eagle comes and the people flee)

CIMORENE: (Barely)

NARRATOR: (1 soldier attacked you... now for more)

CIMORENE: (reply to her yell ealier)

NARRATOR: (not yet, this is all the same round)

NARRATOR: *1 hit doing 11*

NARRATOR: (do we assume you grabbed armor?)

CIMORENE: (yup)

CIMORENE: (regular scale armor.  Mine)

NARRATOR: (4 points of absorbtion then)

CIMORENE: (from Igiwi's)

NARRATOR: *1 hit 13 damage*

CIMORENE: (injured)

CIMORENE: (still injured)

NARRATOR: *1 hit 11 damage*

CIMORENE: (wounded)

NARRATOR: *1hit 12 damage*

NARRATOR: *next round*

CIMORENE: (wait.... wait..... injured still)

CIMORENE: (damage reduction is my friend)

CIMORENE: (by one point)

NARRATOR: *both wizards chant*

NARRATOR: *you feel yourself MUCH harder to hit getting a +5 to defense courtesy of pallando*

CIMORENE: (nice)

NARRATOR: *luin ruths spell paralyzes pallando*

CIMORENE: (how do you cure that?)

NARRATOR: (break binding)

NARRATOR: (it's a spell do you have it?)

CIMORENE: (?)

CIMORENE: (no)

CIMORENE: (I have spellbinding)

NARRATOR: (untrained check?)

NARRATOR: (he used a sorcery version, sorry no dispell there)

CIMORENE: (so I can do nothing?)

NARRATOR: (holding spell; pallando is out for about 14 rounds unless you do break binding)

CIMORENE: (then yes, I will do so)

NARRATOR: (i'll offer an untrained check to cast the spell due to the moment and the valar helping you here)

NARRATOR: (check is at 16; double normal)

CIMORENE: (So what do I do?)

NARRATOR: (casting time is 2 actions...)

NARRATOR: (if you want to attack first do so)

NARRATOR: (but the spell will be extra actions or you can attack for extra after spell)

CIMORENE: (no, go ahead with the check.  It's better to take a -5 or more on something you know you cna pass)

NARRATOR: (you roll stamina to make the spell now, like normal)

CIMORENE: (what kind of spell is it?)

CIMORENE: (I've got a 17 right now.  Is it an air or water spell?)

NARRATOR: (it has no specialty)

CIMORENE: (okes.  17)

NARRATOR: *you cast it successfully as you do not know how you knew how to even, surely the valar have blessed you now*

CIMORENE: (How many men are around her?)

NARRATOR: (as many as can be)

CIMORENE: (fine)

NARRATOR: (you are in a fairly tight circle of 12 or so all around)

CIMORENE: *she dives at Liun, trying to get behind him with a dagger at his throat that she quick drew*

NARRATOR: *pallandos body becomes his own again*

CIMORENE: (wait)

NARRATOR: (-15 to hit)

CIMORENE: *She wants to dive at him, trying to do a called strike at his heart*

CIMORENE: (Why -15?)

NARRATOR: (he's wearing armor...)

NARRATOR: (that's a head/neck shot)

NARRATOR: (i'll look this one up)

CIMORENE: (Even if it's a melee weapon?)

NARRATOR: (-10 to hit)

CIMORENE: (plus the five for an extra action)

NARRATOR: (normally you are not aiming for anything, just trying to hit)

CIMORENE: (great)

NARRATOR: (so -15 to hit his heart area)

NARRATOR: (if you fail badly it could go ill)

CIMORENE: (wait.... he's wearing armor?)

NARRATOR: (ya)

CIMORENE: (Does she know that?)

NARRATOR: (it's obvious, it was in the description)

CIMORENE: (Can I switch the place again?  I havne't rolled yet)

NARRATOR: (k)

CIMORENE: (I want it to be neck instead of heart, if he's wearing armor)

NARRATOR: (k so -20)

CIMORENE: (why?!)

NARRATOR: (-15 to hit that region+ a neg 5 for extra action)

CIMORENE: (oh good grief..... even Cimorene can't pass that.  Heart then)

CIMORENE: (Rolling)

NARRATOR: (k good luck)

CIMORENE: (16)

CIMORENE: (And I WILL uise courage if it isn't enough)

NARRATOR: *you manage to slightly puncture the armor in that area*

CIMORENE: (courage for more?)

NARRATOR: (+3 for each point)
)
CIMORENE: (I'll use three points.  that's a 25 now)

NARRATOR: (you're using your staff to do this?  it's blunt)

CIMORENE: (And she's lunging.... does that count for anything?)

CIMORENE: (No, her dagger that I said she quick drew)

NARRATOR: (no that would be a 2 action charge you think of)

NARRATOR: (okay)

CIMORENE: (her elven dagger, which she still has)

NARRATOR: (k)

NARRATOR: (25!?)

CIMORENE: (I rolled a 16, plus nine)

NARRATOR: *roll damage*

CIMORENE: (I used three courage)

NARRATOR: (btw long knifes are now d6+3 +str damage)

CIMORENE: (15 damage, directly to the heart.  And if it does in, she's twisting)

CIMORENE: (2d6)

NARRATOR: ( i can show you the link)

CIMORENE: (There's a link?!)

NARRATOR: http://www.decipher.com/lordoftherings/rpg/support/lotrrpgerrata.pdf

NARRATOR: (revisions)

CIMORENE: (damn.... so my daggers are less pwoerful?!)

NARRATOR: (great axes do 3d6 now)

NARRATOR: (ya)

CIMORENE: (re-rolls)

NARRATOR: (yours will be d6+5 though)

NARRATOR: (instead of +3)

CIMORENE: (14 damage)

CIMORENE: (oh.... 17 then)

NARRATOR: (re roll?)

CIMORENE: (I rolled a 6)

NARRATOR: (full damage?)

NARRATOR: (impressive and horrifying for me)

NARRATOR: (horribly!!!)

CIMORENE: (And if it enters, she's twisting)

NARRATOR: (let me read up on this next.....thing)

NARRATOR: (it enters)

NARRATOR: (twisting won't do anything but dramatic flare)

CIMORENE: (then she twists it.  Thearetically, it would sever all the heart arteries!)

NARRATOR: (how much hp do you have left?)

CIMORENE: (45)

CIMORENE: (I'm on the last point in INjured)

NARRATOR: *you feel a wave of hate and terror sweep over you doing 43 damage*

CIMORENE: ( 46 if you count that one.... shall I start playing a mourning song?)

NARRATOR: (not exactly)

CIMORENE: (shit)

NARRATOR: *stamina test?*

NARRATOR: (i dare you to make it)

CIMORENE: (Do I need one?)

NARRATOR: (please try)

CIMORENE: (12)

CIMORENE: (I still get a plus 2)

CIMORENE: (that's basically the best I could do)

NARRATOR: (here is my predicament)

NARRATOR: (technically you should be dead)

NARRATOR: (but he never had a chance to do the final strike)

NARRATOR: (never an action)

NARRATOR: (so i cut the damage in half)

CIMORENE: (wait.... should he even get to do it at all this round?)

NARRATOR: (the book does not say it is so much a concious effort or not)

CIMORENE: (ask a favor?)

CIMORENE: (Can I call you, and you can read me the desciprtion?)

NARRATOR: (yes)

CIMORENE: (First with the tree, now with the bloody wizard)

NARRATOR: (tree?)

CIMORENE: (remember?  Blowing up the tree, forsaking my own life for Ipal?)

CIMORENE: (Now she's giving it up for her friends and her world)

CIMORENE: (as far as she knows)

NARRATOR: (ya)

NARRATOR: (amazing and dammit....)

NARRATOR: *you black out*

CIMORENE: (goodie)

CIMORENE: (I'm at what, two hitpoints?)

NARRATOR: *it is instantaneous and yet horridly painful, perhaps the most pain you've ever felt in your life*

NARRATOR: (3)

CIMORENE: *she goes into what she feels should be death with a triumphant smile*

NARRATOR: (you would be dead if you killed him any other way)

NARRATOR: (guarantEED)

CIMORENE: (I figured)

NARRATOR: (but you pose a real predicament.....dammit)

CIMORENE: (npw what?)

NARRATOR: (npw?)

CIMORENE: (*now)

NARRATOR: (okay let me think a sec)

NARRATOR: (make me 3 stamina checks)

CIMORENE: (......)

CIMORENE: (all right)

CIMORENE: (11, boxcars, and 10)

NARRATOR: *you wake up*

CIMORENE: (oops.... nine)

NARRATOR: (the second is a 9?)

CIMORENE: (third)

NARRATOR: *you wake up*

NARRATOR: *balance check*

CIMORENE: (at -9?)

NARRATOR: (yes)

CIMORENE: (There's no balance skill)

CIMORENE: (acrobatics?)

NARRATOR: (acrobatics i mean)

NARRATOR: (you gain +2 hp)

CIMORENE: (2)

CIMORENE: (The skill test was a 2)

NARRATOR: *you are on a flying eagle and you don't fall off*

CIMORENE: (no way)

CIMORENE: (hell yeah!!!!!!)

NARRATOR: *pallando is at the neck looking very bad himself*

CIMORENE: (I'm awake?)

NARRATOR: (yes)

CIMORENE: P-Pall....and...o...?

NARRATOR: *the clothes you had are tattered up again(not like porn, but you get the idea)*

CIMORENE: (lol)

CIMORENE: (Melendar SO owes me a dress!!!)

NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks bad happy and painfully*Cimorene, you gave me quite the scare

CIMORENE: *she manages a small grin*  Am I dead?

CIMORENE: *speaking in barely a whisper*

CIMORENE: (no!  They lowered my staff damage!!!!!)

NARRATOR: Pallando:*smiles*Far from it.  No we have left those who are dead and are seeking a certain one believed to be alive.

NARRATOR: (not YOUR staff damage)

CIMORENE: (phew)

NARRATOR: (yours has become twice as powerful now)

CIMORENE: *she blinks*  What happened?

NARRATOR: Pallando:After you killed Luin Ruth most of the army around us was killed with him.  Grishna and his soldiers had no trouble escaping then and I sealed the doorway with what strength I had left.  We all escaped before the second army could catch up.

NARRATOR: Pallando:I don't know how, but we had our victory.  The valar smiled upon you

CIMORENE: They're.... alive?  The... men?

NARRATOR: Pallando:Most everyone that you last saw.  My apprentice Mundin the Blue was found dead but Tursek was barely alive and is with the others.  Igiwi, we could not find

CIMORENE: *tears flow down her cheeks*

CIMORENE: Mundin..... Igiwi......

NARRATOR: Pallando:*sulky*He was a good man and died a good man.  Let us remember his brave efforts

CIMORENE: Mundin and Igiwi..... they saved us all...

NARRATOR: Pallando:*half smile*There is nothing to say this Igiwi is not dead

NARRATOR: (you're up)

CIMORENE: *she smiles a bit*  Where.... are we going?

NARRATOR: Pallando:We are to find Melendar before heading for Gondor

CIMORENE: *she blinks a few times*  But.... what about the city?

NARRATOR: Pallando:*sheepishly*I figured you would have no objections....

CIMORENE: Where will they go?  The second army....?

NARRATOR: Pallando:*solem*They took the city, we could not stop that.  What they will do with it is anyone's guess.  This was the greatest victory we could hope for.  Perhaps later Galtaire's capital can be retaken but their numbers dwarf us currently

CIMORENE: The women and children.... and the people of Galtaire... they have no leader now, besides Tursek.  Where will they go?

CIMORENE: *her fist clenches*  We will demand an army from Eldarian and take back the city.

NARRATOR: Pallando:They will go south to what other cities there are.  Tursek is a good leader

NARRATOR: Pallando:Calm down, Cimorene.  All in time

CIMORENE: *collapses back down*  Eagle.... *tries to use beast speech, but realizes that she can't do anything but lay there*  Pallando... please tell him I said thank you for saving me...

NARRATOR: Pallando*smiling*He knows, believe me

CIMORENE: *falls asleep, almost daring herself to dream*

CIMORENE: (my god..... she killed a Blue wizard....)

NARRATOR: (probably...)

NARRATOR: (he did have a weakness; arrogance)

CIMORENE: (Didn;t think a little girl, wizard or no, could kill him?)

NARRATOR: (i played him that way without realizing it)

NARRATOR: (this changes everything)

NARRATOR: (threats are still there, just in different ways)

NARRATOR: (oh wow, laura you changed alot of stuff, alright)

CIMORENE: (lol)

NARRATOR: (i cannot begin to tell you the domino effect unleashed here)

CIMORENE: (I dont wanna stop playing!)

NARRATOR: (it's good and horribly bad)

CIMORENE: (To heck with the others!  I wanna journey on alone!)

NARRATOR: (the head just got cut off the chicken)

CIMORENE: (me and Melendar against the world!!)

NARRATOR: (no!)

CIMORENE: (*is feeling rather cocky*)

NARRATOR: (you can't fight 'em all)

NARRATOR: (you would be killed the next round or two do you realize that?)

CIMORENE: (yup)

NARRATOR: (you aren't THAT good)

CIMORENE: (But my quick thinking MAKES me good enough to worry about)

NARRATOR: (hopefully you just saw how easy life is to take away; same for you)

CIMORENE: (very very clearly)

NARRATOR: (don't forget it, this was a character twice your equal at least)

CIMORENE: (*nods obediently*  On with the game!)

NARRATOR: (very well let the toppling of all things begin)

NARRATOR: Pallando:Where was Melendar last headed?

CIMORENE: To... the elves.  In the mountain.  There's a path and an opening at the base

NARRATOR: Pallando:Can you show me where?...

CIMORENE: *is she can move and see where she is, she can*

CIMORENE: *checks the transcripts to see exactly where it is*

NARRATOR: *make an observe, the sky is yours*

CIMORENE: (7)

NARRATOR: *visually you cannot tell*

NARRATOR: *wisdom check?*

CIMORENE: (She knows which direction from the city it was)

NARRATOR: (tell him then)

CIMORENE: (I'm looking for it!)

NARRATOR: (hey calm down)

CIMORENE: (lol)

CIMORENE: ( I wasn't yelling in real life)

NARRATOR: (oh okay)

CIMORENE: Three days north of the city

NARRATOR: Pallando: *Happy* We should nearly be there.

CIMORENE: *she smiles and settles back down*

CIMORENE: Can Mr. Eagle bear three people?

NARRATOR: Pallando:He says he can bare me and 2 elves, yes

CIMORENE: *nods and closes her eyes*  I will.....rest.... a while....

NARRATOR: (sleep?)

CIMORENE: (yes)

NARRATOR: *you sleep*

NARRATOR: *you wake*

CIMORENE: (for an hour, or until they get to the cave, whichever comes first)

NARRATOR: *you wake and it is darker out, dusky*

CIMORENE: *she groans and glances about*  Where are we?

NARRATOR: *you have landed*

NARRATOR: Pallando:*from below*We have found an open cave

CIMORENE: (can she even walk?)

NARRATOR: (sure, just don't trip)

CIMORENE: (she's still at near death)

NARRATOR: (well..... actuall)

NARRATOR: (lets roll on that)

CIMORENE: (you or me?)

NARRATOR: (me this time;-) (understates))

CIMORENE: (gotcha)

NARRATOR: *you right leg is broken*

CIMORENE: (goodie)

NARRATOR: *BADLY*

NARRATOR: *your armor is no good at all*

CIMORENE: *she gasps in pain and then realizes something horrible as she goes to whistle*  BARD!

NARRATOR: *no call returns*

CIMORENE: bard!  Bard, please, Bard!!!!!!

NARRATOR: Pallando:What?

CIMORENE: *she rolls over and begins to sob quietly, praying as she sobs to the Valar to watch out for her friend*  My.... horse-friend....

NARRATOR: Pallando:I am sorry, we have both lost friends it seems.  *with hope*Perhaps there is hope for yours

CIMORENE: *she raises her head and smiles just a little*  He can roam free now..... I hope he lives well.  Pallando.... my leg...

NARRATOR: Pallando:*grimices*I will go in then.  If trouble arises just yell for him*to eagle*to help and you will be lifted to safety...

CIMORENE: Can't.... let you go in alone....

NARRATOR: Pallando:What choice have we?*he looks pretty bad and wobbly*

CIMORENE: Pallando.... can you farspeak?

NARRATOR: Pallando:I dare not try in case there is an evil one nearby to see i've done it

CIMORENE: *she nods*  It's a fair distance once you get inside.  It's a two or more day's walk to the main areas

NARRATOR: Pallando:What do you purpose?

NARRATOR: Pallando:Where would he be?  Could I ask the first elf I see?

CIMORENE: Have you ever been inside this cavern?

NARRATOR: Pallando:No

NARRATOR: Pallando:To be honest I have never seen it before...

CIMORENE: *she nods*  Then find me two long sticks, and help me shred the rest of my cloak.

NARRATOR: Pallando:You are certain?  Your leg may not be able to take anymore

CIMORENE: I'm not going to walk on it, if I can help it.  Please, I have to try.  They know me here.  They will let me in....

CIMORENE: Or you can just yell inside that Cimorene the Violet is here and needs help

NARRATOR: Pallando:It is a great risk....*goes off to find the sticks*

CIMORENE: That might work too.  Hey, wait, try that first!

CIMORENE: *does not relish trying to walk*

NARRATOR: *he nods and goes off inside*

NARRATOR: (observe)

CIMORENE: ((with -9?)

NARRATOR: (yes)

CIMORENE: (5)

NARRATOR: (mayberyou'll do boxcars, i mean unless you don't wanna try)

NARRATOR: (thank you)

NARRATOR: *you notice no sounds of nature about*

NARRATOR: *minutes later pallando comes back out*

CIMORENE: *she rolls her head to look at him*

CIMORENE: Well?

NARRATOR: Pallando:If what they say is right he may be dead

CIMORENE: WHAT?  *she sits bolt upright, pretty much ignoring the pain*

NARRATOR: Pallando:Apparently 2 days ago a hoard of orcs/trolls/and a demon of cold attacked the elves inexplicably

NARRATOR: Pallando:Apparently Melendar was instrumental in turning them back

NARRATOR: Pallando:*casts his head down*But he was taken by the demon as he and his forces fled

NARRATOR: Pallando:He was assumed dead before his body was taken.....

NARRATOR: Pallando:*looks right at you now serious*I am sorry

CIMORENE: *she scoots over to the edge of the eagle, swinging one leg over, trying her best to keep the other leg still, and yells*  Cimorene the Violet demands to speak to Wulf!

CIMORENE: (oh jeez....)

NARRATOR: *wulf comes out of the shadows*

NARRATOR: Wulf:Yes Cimorene?

CIMORENE: *she smiles almost brightly at him*  Wulf!  You're alive!

CIMORENE: Is what he said true?

NARRATOR: *he has this look on his face like "why wouldn't i be?"*

NARRATOR: Wulf:Every word

CIMORENE: Did you see him fall?

NARRATOR: Wulf:I was by his side and may I say, lady, he is the most valiant warrior I have ever seen

CIMORENE: Wulf... did you see him fall?

NARRATOR: Wulf:The demon cut him down as we both fought him ourselves and knocked me away.

NARRATOR: Wulf:Melendar was bloodied and not moving or breathing by my eyes and the demon claimed his body as a prize and left

CIMORENE: Which way did he go?

NARRATOR: Wulf:Deeper than we have ever gone in the mountain.  *see's you for the first time*Cimorene what happened to you?

CIMORENE: The evil wizard is dead.  Killed, by me.... May I have permission to enter your realm?

CIMORENE: (*has just re-read the transcript, and decided on something rather grim*)

NARRATOR: Wulf:Of course.  Melendar is a hero to us and hence you are welcome in our confines

NARRATOR: (what?)

CIMORENE: *she glances at Pallando*  Go to Gondor.  Tell Oromic what has happened in this land.  *her eyes set*  I'm not leaving.

CIMORENE: (She's not leaving)

NARRATOR: Pallando:Don't be a fool Cimorene he is dead and soon you will be too

CIMORENE: I won't leave without proof.

CIMORENE: And I won't die.  I'm healing even as we speak

NARRATOR: Wulf:Then let us go collect it for you*almost visibly shudders*We will go in for you

CIMORENE: No.  I will go with you, if you so choose to come with me.  I will not let him die needlessly and alone.

CIMORENE: He's not dead.

NARRATOR: Wulf:If it helps, he was pierced by the largest icicle i've seen  as a weapon

CIMORENE: I don't care.

CIMORENE: I'm not leaving him here.

CIMORENE: Even if it's just his body or bones, I'm not leaving without him

NARRATOR: Pallando:Cimorene I have to strongly advise against this

NARRATOR: Pallando:Now I need you with me to go to Gondor or I do not go do you hear me?

CIMORENE: *she sets her gaze hard on Pallando*  I love him!  I will not leave him, not while there's still a chance I can save him!

NARRATOR: *wulf just puts his head to the ground*

NARRATOR: Pallando:Very well, but I WILL be going with you

CIMORENE: *she smiles at him*  I would be honored.... but please do not feel as if you have to.

NARRATOR: Pallando:There is no way you are to stop me do you understand Cimorene the violet?

NARRATOR: Pallando:I do what I wish now and this is my wish

CIMORENE: *has an urge to bow her head and say "yes, father"*

CIMORENE: *she nods*  Wulf..... can you carry me?

NARRATOR: Wulf:*taken aback*Certainly

NARRATOR: *grabs you confidently and brings you inside while Pallando and the eagle echange eagle talk*

CIMORENE: Ask him to grab my horse if he sees him!  *she yells back, then settles comfortably in Wulf's arms, exhausted*

CIMORENE: (he'd better not be dead, Jon)

NARRATOR: *you hear an affirmative yell back*

NARRATOR: (no promises laura, you have single handedly changed ALOT of stuff in a moment)

NARRATOR: (consequences...)

CIMORENE: (*looks about to cry*  PLease..... don't let him be dead)

NARRATOR: (play the game, i say nothing)

CIMORENE: (want to end it?)

CIMORENE: (Here, I mean?)

CIMORENE: (For the night?)

NARRATOR: (do you want to)

CIMORENE: (I'm getting pretty damned tired)

NARRATOR: END
