DCCT11

"Well sir she is doing pretty good right now. She has a large concussion and had to have 20 stiches on her head." The doctor said to Lance and the rest of the guys.

"Thank God," Lance whispered and out loud he said, " Can we go see her?"

"Um.. there is one problem. She's in a coma from hitting her head on the floor. She should come around soon though. Maybe you all can talk to her. That usually helps the patient. She's in room B2." The doctor said while watching the blonde boy's face fall.

As Lance walked into Kayla's hospital room he groaned. She had wires hooked up all over her,and her beautiful green eyes were closed. Her head had a lot of stiches on it too-- she looked dead.

Justin walked up to her bed and looked down at her. "Mac. It's me Justin. The rest of the guys are here to. We want you to wake up. Can you do that for us." Justin whispered in her ear as Lance came around to stand next to him.

"Kayla? Come on wake up for us. I am soo sorry about making you go get the bread! Please wake up so you can tell me if you hate me or not," Lance whispered to Kayla after Justin moved away. He looked at Kayla after he said this. A tear fell from her eye. His eyes widened from shock as he grabbed her hand. Two more tears fell.

**KAYLA'S THOUGHTS**

"Mac it's me Justin." When Kayla heard that she knew she had to wake up. These poor guys were sitting here waiting for her. The thought that they cared enough to see her made her heart constrict. When Lance told her he was sorry, she couldn't help but cry. He had actually apologized to her for making her go and get the bread. And when he took her hand it was more that enough to make more tears flow. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE had ever been that thoughtful and caring to her unless it was her family! This was what she always wanted. AND I HAVE TO BE LYING ON A HOSPITAL BED!!!!!!! She knew she had to wake up, and if it weren't for these 5 guys, Kayla knew she really would have no reason to wake up.

**BACK TO REALITY**

"Hey guys? She's crying! Whats the matter?!? Kayla?? Are you in pain? Open your eyes sweetie!! Show me- I mean us that you are OK." Lance said while still holding Kayla's hand. He haden't realized he called her sweetie, but Kayla did. It made more tears fall and she finally opened her eyes.

"Jace, go get her doctor!! Tell him she's awake, but we think she's in pain" Justin said.

The doctor walked into the room and looked over Kayla. She couldn't talk because she still had the air tube down her throat. He said she still had a consussion and she should stay at the hospital for another day.

"Then when she returns home, she has to stay off her feet for 3 weeks as much as possible. We don't need her falling again," the doctor told each of the guys as they all said hello to Kayla.

When Lance looked at Kayla she smiled at him. She wanted to thank him for caring about her while she was here. It just brought more tears to her eyes.

"Kay? Are you OK?"

She nodded and her eyes started to close. She fell asleep with a smile on her face. Lance walked over to her bed and kissed her forehead. More tears fell from her eyes.
