High School Friends

These 4 girls with me are practically my best-est friends from High School. We were classmates since 6th grade but the 5 of us became close on our 1st year of secondary school. I am close to the four of them, really close, actually. We treat each other as sisters. We aren't classmates every year but since we've got the same breaks, our breaks are our bonding time. We go to same clubs, too.

We are now college students and we don't see each other much. But we make time for each other. We go to sleepovers, concerts, movie dates or even parties whenever we're all free. We keep in touch through the internet and texts. We sometimes visit each other's houses on our free days.

No matter how loud I am, I was never good in introductions and making friends. Up until now, I don't know how I became close with these friends of mine. But nevermind that. These people are the ones who can tolerate my weirdness and will always be there for me no matter how stressed they are. There are semesters that we aren't blockmates but we make sure that we make time for each other.

These girls and guys are like my extended family. I know it is hard to find true friends this college especially when you were with your High School friends for 4 years but these people made me realize that it's not about the time you spent together, it's how you value each other.
