CONGRADULATIONS

this is after the Olympics thing we organized for the 4th of July ->

All I've been able to say to everyone is that this has been an awesome week. I don't even know where to begin. I'd have to repeat everything I said in all of our talks. I guess I can start with that then. It's so great that we were able to be so open with each other and talk to each other and support each other. The bonding that happened was amazing. And we were still able to goof off a little.. a lot.. but how could you call it camp if there wasn't any craziness? Hmm.. I guess now is the time I list all the other exciting things that happened.

* the only time they gave us silverwear for dessert was when we had ice cream. so the whole camp had to slurp the jello and pudding
* the fire alarm went off at midnight or something
* skinamarinky dinky dink, skinamarinky doo
* everybody got eaten by mosquitoes.. i hope they didn't disease us or anything
* Kat and I must have made a record when we did the tip test.. and then we decided to capsize in Swartswood Lake.. and Kat had problems getting back in.. 
* NO THE SANDAL IS GOING TO SINK! STOP!
* nap time in the middle of the lake
* "mm my shirt smells like mint!" "no, not really. it smells like road kill"
* "they're filling in the pool" "oh.... wait, they're filling in the pool?" (after the 7th time) "are they really filling in the pool?" "YES THEY'RE FILLING THE POOL WITH DIRT" "OOOOO they're filling the pool with dirt!"
* let's have cookies
* being tied together with a rope for a day.. we had to do everything together. get milk, shower, potty... from then on we always had to pee at the same time, and being that there were 2 stalls and 5 of us we took like a half hour. and then there were all those bad jokes lol "you seem to be very attached to each other" "i'll be back in a couple minutes, don't go anywhere!"

* I saved the best for last.. Sunriiiiiise Mountain. That was one of the best trips there ever. Butt rocks, love feast, hot spot, the sun set, fireworks, DQ, and just being with my favorite people. We really couldn't ask for anyone better when we have Declan and Liz, and there's just something about them that makes everyone so happy! I'm going to miss the campers I got to be with this week, but hopefully I'll see some of them again. I can't wait to work with this staff! I love you all so much!

PAIN IS TEMPORARY, BUT PRIDE IS FOREVER

We got so many bruises and scratches from the low ropes course it looked like we got beat up, but we conquered the low ropes course- everything in it! So that shows how tough we all are, and that's what matters! I think...

It's sort of ironic how similar our lives are, so we were really able to relate to each other and have that major bonding time. I'd call it fate that brought us together. And I discovered something incredible during one of our talks... You know when you get in a fight with a friend and things are really rough for a while? But then you make up and your friendship is twice as strong as it was before. I think it's the same with God when something happens in your life and thing are really rough for a while. But if you just accept it and trust that He'll get you through it, you will. And your faith will be twice as strong as it was before.

E-mail me with pictures! All I have is the group photo (it's beautiful, isn't it? we posed and everything!) but I know there are other pictures floating around out there. The Aldersgate Webpage should have pictures soon.. eventually.. hopefully... Anyway, e-mail me with suggestions for the page too. Chrissy gave me a couple ideas that I liked and I'm all ears (eyes? whatever) for any ideas. You can also use the Guestbook to do that, or to just write anything.
