Season Preview:
Jeff Gordon
Past Overview
Jeff Gordon is one of the drivers with many accomplisments. Before 2005, he won the championship 4 times ('95, '97,'98 & '01) and had won the Daytona 500 2 times ('97 & '99). In the two most recent seasons, he finished forth and third in pts.
In 2005 if he had followed that pattern, he would've finished 2nd in pts but that was not meant to be. He started the season off with a bang with a win in the Daytona 500 but failed to make the chase. Althrough he failed to make the chase, he finished in the cruital 11th place in pts and also won 4 races total this season.
Restrictor Plates
Jeff Gordon finished all the plate races in the top 10 except one which was the fall race at Talladega. The reason? TBO! So his goal to escape TBO.
Short Tracks
Basically Gordon's problem with short tracks was trouble. He only had one bad short track race and that was due to trouble so like the plate races, he needs to escape trouble.
Road Courses
Jeff has no problems with his short tracks so we'll leave him alone here.
Flat Tracks
He sucked at the beginning but improved. So I'm going to shut my mouth and continue on.
Cookie Cutters
Jeff needs to work on his finishes by improving his cookie cutter program and by staying out of trouble.
Summery
Jeff's season was killed by wrecks and a not good cookie cutter program. So if both can be improved, he can be back to his old self again.
