Tony Stewart grew up in Rushville, Indiana with the dream of one day winning the Indianapolis 500. He raced in the Indy Racing League (IRL) before moving over to NASCAR without any success of winning the Indy 500. However, he managed to win ROTY in 1996 & the championship in 1997. For a couple of years, Tony did the Coca Cola 600-Indy 500 double yet again, he found no success in winning the Indy 500.
Finally in 2005, Tony found his way to victory lane with the help of long time crew chief and friend Greg Zippidelli in NASCAR�s race at Indianapolis, the Brickyard 400. It was a day that would go down as one of the most treasured moments in Tony�s career. In 2007, Tony found his way to Indy victory lane again and proved that he will forever be known as a multi-winner at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
