Denny led lap 1 and on lap 6 was followed by Brian, Newman, J. Burton & Kurt.
The first causion came out on lap 20; it was the competition yellow. Denny goes in 1st and comes off 1st. The restart is on lap 24 and Jeremy gets in Mikey causing Mikey to hit hte wall but there's no causion. The second causion comes soon after through on lap 31 when Clint & Carl spin. Tony was mad at Clint so he spun him which caused Clint to hit Carl. Tony gets blackflagged for rough driving. There are pit stops and stragedy comes into play. Through it all your new leader is Ryan who stayed out. Kyle B. was too fast exiting so he starts at the tail end of the longest line. The restart comes on lap 38
Lap 40 Pt Standings -> 48 17 31 6 9 29 8 24 5 11 /// 16 20 2 99
On lap 45, Ryan loses the lead to Burton. Burton leads right until the third causion which has Kyle P. in the wall. The lucky dog is Robby Gordon and through stragedy J. Gordon is 1st. Also on pit road, Carl spun Tony out coming on to pit road so NASCAR pennilized Carl for rough driving. NASCAR also warned the drivers of the #99 & #20 to calm down. The restart comes on lap 72 and right off the bat J. Gordon loses the lead to Ryan yet he only leads one lap because Denny passes Ryan for the lead. The forth causion comes out soon after due to debris on the front stretch. The restart comes on lap 80
Lap 80 Pt Standings -> 48 17 30 6 29 9 5 8 11 24 /// 16 20 2 99
Lap 87 Top 5 -> 11 31 29 2 24
On lap 87, Blaney wrecked Dale Jr. on the Long Pond straightaway. Denny was the first one off pit road but Jarret is 1st due to not pitting. Yet right on the restart on lap 93, Denny took the lead back. On lap 108, Bifle has a right fornt tire goin down causing him to make a unschedule pit stop
Top 5 on lap 110 -> 11 2 31 29 48
The flat tire woes continue cause on lap 121, Robby has a flat left rear
Top 2 as of 125 -> 11 2 29
A causion comes out with 50 to go for debris and the lucky dog is Robby Gordon. Denny won the race of pit road and many were hit with speeding penilties. The restart comes with 45 to go and many can't make it so look for some stragedy.
Top 5 with 38 to go -> 11 2 29 24 25
The leader, Denny Hamlin, pits with 26 to go giving the lead to Kurt who pits 3 laps later handing the lead to Bobby. With 21 to go, green flag pit stops are cut to a hault due to a causion for debris. The debris comes from Wimmer who had a flag right front. Bobby has to pit under causion handing the lead back to Denny. The restart comes with 16 to go and Denny holds the field off to win the Pennsylvania 500!

Comments
Denny Hamlin on his chances of making the chase: "We'll just keep plugging away. That's all we can do."
Denny Hamlin on his car: "This is just a great car.''
Kevin Harvick on his race: "It was a good race [Sunday] -- pretty big for us. Coming to Pocono, we always wonder what is going to happen [but] we had a solid car all day. We got really loose there at the end for whatever reason. But we were able to stay in the top five -- so it was a good day. [Sunday] we had a really good car all day long and were able to run up front and keep the brakes underneath the car. We made good adjustments all race long [so it was a] good day for us. Hopefully we can do six more just like that."
Kevin Harvick on his chase chances: "I think we have been consistent, performance-wise, all year. We've had a lot of things go wrong for us, a lot of crazy things happen [like] a rock through the radiator at Darlington and just a few things like that. But all in all, the performance has been there, week in and week out and that is what we have to keep doing."
Kevin Harvick on his chances next weekend at the Brickyard: "I think so -- our test there went really well. Everybody still has questions about the tires, you know -- are they going to run far enough and are they going to wear out? Our car seemed to be pretty good compared to others. I am looking forward to the Brickyard and also having only one race next weekend. It will be fun."
Jeff Gordon talking about his day: "To come back from the devastating crash a month ago and finish third says a lot about this team and this program. This is a great way to hit the off-weekend and to get into the summer with this kind of a stride -- it's fantastic. We didn't need that last caution. I was happy to get up there into second. I tried to hold Kurt [Busch] off, but his car was just a little bit better than mine. We had really a third-place car for a good part of the day. Steve Letarte [crew chief] and all the guys on the DuPont Chevrolet crew just did a fantastic job in the pits -- the strategy and the pit stops."
Jeff Gordon's outlook on the rest of the season: "I still don't feel we've reached our full potential. I felt like we were really going to start hitting on some things good through the summer and we have. As far as getting better, we know we can. That's where we're headed and we're looking forward to making that all happen when we come back from vacation."
Tony Stewart on his day: "Four guys ended up having a bad day because one guy couldn't be a little patient and use a little give-and-take. There is only a handful of guys that don't get it but the problem that they are in good race cars and they don't run up front enough to learn from the rest of us how to race up front.''
Dale Earnhardt Jr talking about the incident: "I got just punted from behind. Straight up punted. I'd be nervous to do that do somebody else. It either took a lot of b---s or a lot of ignorance. I'll say probably the latter. I didn't do nothing to him on racetrack. I don't think he meant to wreck me. I don't know why he would do that. He's a pretty good guy. But it's a pretty weird deal. I just got run over on the straightaway and tried to save it, but just got too far behind the wheel there. We didn't bring a good race car to the track, not a good product. I am disappointed in my team on how the car drove, but we will just have to keep trying."
Dale Earnhardt Jr. talking about taking the wrecked car back on track: "Who wants to drive that? Sitting out there riding around in trashed cars is no fun. If they want to make changes to the points system next year they should start from 25th on back giving everybody the same points. That way we wouldn't have to get these wrecked things back out there.''
Dale Earnhardt Jr. on his chances on the pressure of making the chase: I'm still right in the hunt. You've got to put forth your best effort until you're out. If you're out of it, you're out of it. Just take [the final] 10 races off, have a good offseason and try again. Ain't no pressure on me, ever. I do this cause it's fun. I don't have to do it. I go out there and have fun. If you don't have a good race, you don't have a good race.''
Tony Eury Jr., crew cheif for the #8 on their chances for the chase: "I'm going to enjoy my week [off] at the beach. He's going to enjoy his week in Las Vegas. You've got to take it and go on. The people that sleep on it are the ones that are going to be in trouble. Not downing that team or nothing, but I've got a really strong team. We've been in this situation and won [Busch] championships together. This team can handle it. Last year, that team was pretty down on itself halfway through the year, just the fans, the media and everybody slashing them. We've got something to prove, and I think we showed it all year. We've got lots of tracks coming up that's going to be good for us. I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. I've outrun these guys all year, so I don't see why we can't do it these last six."
Carl Edwards on Tony Stewart: "I've got to choose my words carefully -- if it weren't for the respect of the sport and the people watching and his team, he'd be out there bleeding right now. That's so frustrating. How can a person make it this far in life being such a jerk?''
