ISSUES AT BRISTOL
Note: This was originally written March 29th 2004
Well, Bristol produced its famous anger deals. So here I go.
#1: Jr's spin-a-loop
Now my thoughts of this are-Jr admitted he caused the causion on purpose. So atleast he admitted it. Second, this quote Jr said explains my next pt. "You gotta do what you gotta do."-Jr said. My pt here is if you can't get luck, you gotta make it. He couldn't find the luck to get a causion, so he caused it. And heck, he's not the first to do this. Other famous drivers such as Dale Earnhardt, Darryll Waltrip and, Richard Petty just to name a few. So its not like he's first one to do it. Final Thoughts: 1pt Jr-0pts NASCAR
#2: Jr's comments bout Causion laps
I know Jr is 1 and 2 yet this needs discussion. NASCAR said they wouldn't call drivers bad behaviour (fine/trailer) for explit things on the radio. Yet did they? Yes! Now part of the reason could be because they wanted to chat bout this comment on causion laps. Now do I agree? Yes! I say the appropiate time for clean-up is first causion time after halfway. That would fit. Now I say that time since periods inbetween clean-up are about the same. Final Thought: 2pts JR-0pts NASCAR They are almost skunks LOL
#3: Kahne on Jamie
Now these comments I couldn't get through my head. Now I have to say that wasn't a good idea. To earn other driver's respect and keep it, you gotta respect your fellow competetors. By Kahne spreading his pt bout McMurray, he may have lost Jamie's. Thats the way me and Mikey lost Johnny's. Plus if Kasey does get McMurray back, what would NASCAR do? My bet they'd be mad. Also, anybody remember Ray saying the dodge effort is a team concept?!?!?!? I do atleast. So how will that play out? Lots now on the table. Final Thoughts: Advice to Kasey---Ssssh! Calm down. Keep that respect.
Now, i then went out and added more comments to the Jr case on April 2nd. Here it is....
I know I wrote my point of view on this on March 29th yet after fine and points deduction came out on Wednesday, I can't stop myself.
NASCAR originally called Jr to the trailer on Sunday because of his radio comments. And now 3 days later + after telling him he wouldn't be fined, NASCAR fines him $10,000 + docks 25pts + probation. Here is my honest opinion bout the punessment.
I've changed my point of view. A little now. I say I gotta agree with DW. It started to spin by itself and he didn't fight it. He let it spin. So do I agree with the punessment? Kinda. I don't agree with the points part at all. Yet if he woulda pit, he woulda finished in the 20s so it works about the place he woulda been yet I still hate it. Yet get this. Jr didn't drop a spot and if he's 3rd at race 27, he'll be then only 10 out. So just remember that. Now if any fine should be given, it should be smaller. And the probation ? Will just hope he stays in line. Yet what pisses me off is the fact that NASCAR said they wouldn't fine puness him and then they do. In other words, they lyed. So I guess it teachs me this---never trust any of the head people of NASCAR!
