When Martin first came into the Busch Series in 2003 driving for Chance 2 Motorsports, not that many people reconized the name. Now in 2007, he's a known name in the Cup Series. For his two seasons in the Busch Series, he drove for Chance 2 Motorsports, which was co-ownerd by Teresa Earnhardt & Dale Earnhardt Jr. In those two seasons, he won 13 races and 2 championships. He then moved up to the Nextel Cup Series in 2006. He didn't suceed in winning the 2006 Rookie of the year. However, on Monday June 5th, 2007, he won the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway winning his first Cup race. It was a special win for Martin as he won it at his hometrack. We all look towards Martin's future as he looks to be growing into a star driver as he gains experience. |
