Season Preview:
Jimmie Johnson
PAST
In 1998, Jimmie was ASA AC Delco Challenge ROTY well he was runner-up for Cup ROTY in 2002. In 2003, he swept the season at Charlotte & Loudon and finished 2nd in pts. In 2004, Jimmie qualified for the chase, won eight races and f inished 2nd yet again.
In 2005, Jimmie was in the top 10 all year and ended the year 5th after spending most of the year in the top 3 spots.
Restrictor Plates
Jimmie is a good restrictor plate driver and advice for him is to stay out of trouble. Plus some drivers and a bunch of fans most add this piece of advice: STOP CAUSING TBO!
Short Tracks
Jimmie is good at the short tracks when he can avoid trouble & engine failures.
Road Courses
Jimmie's road course finishes suck and that was due to accidents. He'll need to avoid those also.
Flat Tracks
Jimmie also can be good on the flat tracks but like everywhere else, he needs to avoid trouble.
Cookie Cutters
All of Jimmie's cookie cutter finishes were in the top 20. Most were top 10 except a couple which were due to small problems.
Overall
I'd say Jimmie is not to touch his cookie cutter program but to improve elsewhere, he needs to avoid trouble and no engine failures.
