— Photos can be viewed by members who are logged in at our main group page & at the “Trunk” page.
—Before uploading photos, please scan the albums to see if there an appropriate album for yours already exists. To help us keep the Photo Area organized, please upload photos to an album which describes your photo’s subject. Photos may be moved around by the Club moderators at a later date to consolidate duplicate albums or to better organize photos.
—Albums can be created within albums. For instance, if you wish to post photos of the Diana gowns you have created for sale, you may create an album within the “Club Designers” album with your name for your photos.
—Remember that even though someone else’s name is listed as “Creator” of a group album, you may still place photos in that album if the album list indicates “Group” access. If you do post a photo, don't forget to put a note in the message area to let everybody know where to look for your masterpiece.
—Photos & albums may be moved around by the group owner in order to organize them. If the group runs low on photo space, photos may be deleted based on content, size or continued membership of the photo owner.
—Observe Yahoo!'s copyright policy as follows: "Don't post copyrighted content without permission from the owner."
—For Club purposes, photos are considered to be the property of the member who posted the photo, unless otherwise indicated in the description. If you post a photo, please make sure you have permission from the copyright owner. Other Club members may view the photos & copy them as long as they obtain the owner/member's permission to use them. There is nothing that can be done to prevent others from copying your photos other than NOT UPLOADING them. If this is a problem for you, don’t share your photos publicly. However, others *CAN* be prevented from using them on the web.
—Please do not embarrass yourself or someone else by "borrowing" photos for yourself or for non-members of the Club to use in on-line auction descriptions, web pages or other groups without first obtaining permission from the owner/member who posted the photo. Perhaps you do not agree with or understand these rules, but they conform to Yahoo policy and just plain common courtesy.
—A reminder about tastefulness. Please post only G-rated photos that are in good taste, i.e. no topless people photos no matter how funny you think they are. We would like to think that parents don't have to worry about their kids visiting here. Being a doll club, there is a likelihood that children may visit. We are sure you'll understand, especially if you have children of your own.
— Some hints on taking nice photos: Use lots of light, but avoid glare. Reduce the amount of background clutter by cropping photos & keeping objects to a minimum. Try using a length of plain fabric for a backdrop. Read the article in the link heading this paragraph for more info. |
