Message Guidelines:

1. Please try to stay on topic.  If a message thread strays, mark the message topic OT for those who wish to concentrate on our focus of Princess Diana Dolls.

2. Practice good "Netiquette" by editing message topics when threads change, removing unnecessary quoted material in a reply & signing messages so that members know what to call one other.

3. Conduct "personal" conversations in private email & keep public conversations in good taste.  Don’t feel you must answer every message.

4. Use appropriate language & ignore messages of an inflammatory natureRead the Buy/Sell Guidelines page BEFORE buying or selling.

5. Messages not conforming to the guidelines will be deleted without notice.

Message Board Description

Messages are sent out via email to members who wish to subscribe as a listserv.  A record of the messages are retained on the Group site in archive form.  Members cannot delete messages; only club moderators can do that, so exercise discretion when you post.  Moderators cannot stop messages that have already been sent to the group unless the sender is on “moderated” status and the message has not yet been approved.

1. The primary topic is Princess Diana *dolls.* Related threads could include: your collection, companies that  manufacture them, delays in getting them, reports on new items, requests for information on them, also repair information or accessory suggestions. There are other groups devoted to general chat & royalty gossip/criticism, so that is off-topic, however if you wish to provide an occasional link to sites about the royals or invite someone to chat with you via email or the  chat room, that is okay.  If all you ever post are off-topic messages, feel free to go group shopping Virus alerts, prayer requests & chain letters are most emphatically OFF-TOPIC.  Off-topic messages may disappear without warning.

Messages regarding the running of the Club, such as complaints about other members, non-working links, philosophical discussions about the rules, etc., need to be addressed in email to the Club Moderators at

[email protected]

Other fashion dolls are better discussed in other forums such as the Yahoo Franklin Mint Dolls, FMDressMeDolls, or FMvinyls groups; Gene has her own AD home as well as her own web ring & Deb’s DollhouseExceptions are comparisons of Diana or her belongings to those other ladies'.

Cross-posted messages from other bulletin boards, clubs or groups are permissible under the following circumstances:

a) You are the original author of the cross-posted message or you have the author's permission to repost the message.

b)  The cross-posted message is on-topic for the Club, i.e., about Diana dolls.

c)  The cross-posted message conforms to Club guidelines.

Cross-posted messages not complying as above will be deleted without explanation.  Messages wondering “what happened to my message” will also be deleted.

2. Good Netiquette asks that subject headers should be edited if a thread changes topic significantly.  If you wish to post a message of a non Diana/doll nature, please precede your subject header with OT to indicate off-topic messages so that other members who wish may feel comfortable skipping ahead.  Please keep the OT messages to an absolute minimum.  Remember to be courteous & edit quoted material to a minimum to save other members some mailbox space.
