A Poem for God
What I Cannot Say
By: Diana F. Reed

How much I love you I cannot say aloud for your love is to powerful for my unworthy words to say. You saved my soul for all eternity you wrapped your arms around me and will not let me fall. When I stumble you are there to lift me up. You're a friend above all friends one who cares even when my heart was so far. When I'm lost you lead me home. You guide my steps with your committed paths sometimes when they look so gray and untrusting I can simply count on you to shine a little light and when I need it which is quite often you send a simple understanding whether it be the calming sounds of birds on a worm spring day, a friendly smile from that stranger along the way, a gentle word from that person who seemed unspeakable so many others that calm a trembling heart like mine. But most of all I am never alone because I always have you. Even there on that cold December night you are my fire burning within my soul.
