| Hey! My name is Diana Reed, and I was born in NewRochelle, New York on August 30, 1987, later to be born again into God's family. I accepted Jesus into my heart at the young age of seven. Although, when you're a young child it's hard to understand the full love and concept of God. Yes, God loved me and wanted to save me, but what real impact could that have on a seven year old? Although, I did ask God to save me I really didn't know what I did and how it would change me. I grew up in a Christian family therefore being so young I thought my relationship with God was fine, and in a way would take care of itself. However, as I got older my relationship with God seemed to fade. I guess you could say I was a "worldly" teen. My music and attitude were not the way God would want them. I mean sure I did go to church on Sundays with my family, but it didn't seem to touch my life.Then, at the age of twelve my parents put me in a Christian school. The first year I met 5 girls who changed my life and we've became good friends. They helped me see my need for God and changed my attitude toward God. My second year there (8th grade) I again accepted Jesus into my life; however, I finally knew the true meaning. And knew for a fact Jesus was holdong onto me - and that He will NEVER let me go! However, I would never have seen this great bond without my old Youth Pastor - Brother Jason, who has opened many doors in my life. After my salvation my life totally began to change. My relationships with family and friends became stronger, more true, and more honest. My meaningless music went in the trash and I began researching new Christian musicians to listen to. Therefore, the music would fill my soul with only love for God and not the world. He has blessed me so much and like always is continuing to bless us all! I am so thankful God gave me a second chance to accept him because if I didn't who knows where my life would be now. Today at age 16 I am pretty much an average teen. I am a junior at a local public high school. I feel that is where God wants me to be. I have learned that you can glorify God in anything such as school and school sports. The Lord has opened my eyes - never to be blinded by sin again! It is already the summer of 2004 and I am about to be a senior in high school. I am living a great life or course with the help from God! I have great new friends and a wonderful boyfriend. My boyfriend, Zeav, is truly a gift from God. He has helped me through so much and has become my best friend. Along with a group of really special girls who walk with me daily at school and my guys who are always there for a laugh! It's like one huge family. I love you guys!!!!! Our God is truly a - Pure, patient, loving, kind, strong, forgiving God. To God goes the glory! I trust you, Lord, not my memories on acceping you! |
