I've been raving for about a year

First Rave:

My first "real" rave was M2K which was put together by Insomniac and Go Ventures on December 31, 1999. After that...I was hooked!

Why I Rave:

At first I thought it was sooo cool to go to a rave because that's what I wasn't supposed to do. I mean there were drugs and the raves that I particularly knew about were illegal. I mean to me raves were bad, so I went to try it out.  I started clubbing when I was 14 and that's what I considered "raving." I mean we had Mickey Mouse gloves (that's when they came out) and Dr. Suess hats and believe it or not....Candy...I was using whistles way back then...especially the big thing was pacifiers....lol..it's totally true! But the only thing that was different was we didn't use ecstacy and the parties were in clubs... C'mon now...I saw DJ IRENE when I was 16 at "The ARENA" in L.A. so that's how i started...but the reason I'm still raving now is because I've come to appreciate the art of "electronica" music and the whole entire vibe of the scene in itself.  To me raves are a "safe haven" for people to be whoever they want to be and it's all okay.So that's why I rave... pretty boring huh? lol

My Non-Raver Side:

Outside of raving I'm working in p/t sales for a flower shop here in vegas. But, when I'm not at work and not raving...I'm a student at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. I'm majoring in Hotel Management with an emphasis on Entertainment and Event Management.  Basically I want to do promotions for a major music label someday. I really want to work for MTV as an intern though.  We'll see how that goes...I mean a "raver" on national television...LMAO!!!
