We went on a glacier cruise - got to see 26 of the named glaciers of Prince William Sound. Some of the ice has been there for thousands of years. |

This is Surprise Glacier. It's a mile across and several hundred feet high. This is a tidewater glacier. It goes all the way into the water. Glaciers like this one "calve" or have pieces of ice fall off into the water, creating the icebergs |
