Zechs Merquise
At the end of the war, Zechs ran off with Noin to the Mars Terreforming Project. Two years passed, but he eventually married Noin. He remained Zechs to his wife, but was known as Wind to everyone else. After three years of marriage, Noin and Zechs became involved in their own war on Mars. It was no where near as severe as the one they survived, however, they knew that many would die without assistance. The war went on for a year and a half when Zechs and Noin were asked to negotiate a peace. If only they had known it was a trap. Noin was killed in a fire fight � along with her unborn child � and Zechs was left behind to handle the attack. At the death of his wife, Zechs vowed to carry on her work. He stayed to finish the war with his new found partners and after another 6 months the war finally ended and Zechs returned to Earth to find Relena. He found her dead body in the kitchen and felt his heart break again. He also found a note on the table. It read;

�To anyone who finds Relena lying here please know that her death will be avenged. I will see to it personally.

Zechs vowed to find Heero and help him avenge his sister. He never managed to find him but heard of the death of her assassin on the news. He knew that Heero had done it even though the authorities didn�t. He felt at peace at knowing that Heero cared for his sister so deeply. While he had always fought Heero, he had a respect for him that can only come from surviving a war. He has never contacted the Gundam pilots because he feels that he was never a part of them and it just wouldn�t be right to barge into their lives. He has somewhat kept track of them though. He has stock in Quatre�s company and frequently sends things to be repaired by Duo (from an anonymous source of course). He used to visit the circus to watch Trowa and now buys plants from him. Eventually, he joined the Preventors (under the anonomous name of Wind) and found Wufei. Though they don�t typically get along, they work well together when need be, though they rarely talk. One picture he always keeps with him is one of himself and Relena as children..
