Ok...imagine you are at a party and having a pretty good time. You and your date have had a few drinks and he wants to go for a walk. You agree, not realizing what harm it could do. The two of you make your way out of the party and he pulls you into a bedroom. Your fun date takes a drastic turn. To make a long story short, you've been raped and don't know it (either because you don't recognize it as rape or you've been slipped a "date rape drug".)
This is called date rape, which is a rape done by an acquaintance or date (obviously). Rape is defined as unwanted sexual contact without the consent of either one of the two partners. |
